Grant Hill Takes Over Game

This game was arguably the best game Grant Hill has played since making his comeback. Going 16 from 35 from the floor, was getting off any shot he wanted against Tim Thomas, finishing the game with 37 points, 10 rebounds, 3 assists, 5 streals and 2 blocks.

Tin Thomas was a non factor tonight filling in for rookie Marvin Williams, though he did score above his season average, he only put up 8 shots in 35 minutes.

Both teams shot just 38% from the floor, which meant both teams got well over 40 rebounds each. Seems like its going to be a long couple of games without star rookie Marvin Williams for Chicago.

Game Breakers

Kirk Hinrich: 11-26 FG 31 Pts, 7 Rebs, 8 Asts, 3 Stls
Mike Sweetney: 3-7 FG 9 Pts, 17 Rebs, 2 Blks
Ben Gordon: 8-17 FG 18 Pts, 1 Reb, 2 Asts

Grant Hill: 16-35 FG 37 Pts, 10 Rebs, 3 Asts, 5 Stls, 2 Blks
Kelvin Cato: 2-5 FG 10 Pts, 11 Rebs, 1 Stl
Steve Francis: 2-8 FG 9 Pts, 3 Rebs, 4 Asts, 1 Stl

Bulls Take Over Bobcats Defensivly

Chicago used defense to take out the Bobcats tonight, limiting them to 74 points, 34% shooting, shooting 1-10 from the 3 point line and limiting them to just 39 rebounds. Chicago in turn shot 50% from the floor, went 10-21 from behind the arc, and pulled down 46 boards.

Marvin Williams' injured finger has fully healed and will be inserted back into the starting line up next game. His replacement Tim Thomas played a great game tonight nailing 4 of his 6 3 pointers, finishing the game with 23 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists.

Chicago shut out Emeka Okafor tonight putting up just 3 shots in 47 minutes of game time. He finished the game with 5 points, 12 rebounds, 1 assist, 3 steals and 4 blocks.

Game Breakers

Kirk Hinrich: 11-17 FG 29 Pts, 8 Asts, 3 Stls, 1 Blk

Mike Sweetney: 5-11 FG 12 Pts, 10 Rebs, 1 Ast, 1 Stl, 2 Blks

Chicago Bulls Ticker 2nd April 2006

News out of Chi town today is that Eddie Basden sustained a sore shoulder last night against the Boston Celtics. We interveiwed Basden on his situation.

'The Shouslders fine, I tweaked it last night in the fourth quarter and I just pulled up a little sore, we have a few days break before we play the Pacers so it's the perfect opportunity to rest up and get geared up for Indiana'

Will This Cause You To Play Less Minutes?

'I hope not, Coach came and sore how i was doing today, he told me if I aint ready by game time then I'll be playing far less minutes than what I normally am.'

Eddie Thanks For Talking To Us

'No worries guys, thanks'

Image
Basdens career high 9 points came against the Knicks in New York

Image
Basden is averaging just 2.4 points per game

Image
Basden for the sixth time handed out his career high 3 assists against the Celtics

Image
Basden is one of 4 rookies in the Bulls line up, they also had 4 rookies last year

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------

This is in dedication to todays trade of Ron Artest of Peja Stojakovic
