As the trade deadline approaches, there are reports that the Washington Wizards and the Indiana Pacers are in serious trade discussions. The main 2 players of the deal reported are Karl Malone of the Wizards and Brad Miller of the Pacers. But because a straight swap does not work under the salary cap, the Wizards are throwing in Kevin Ollie while the Pacers throw in a filler to make the deal work.

The reason why the Wizards are in more discussions is because they do not like having so many free agents, as they are afraid of losing most of them to FA. Malone is in the final year of his contract and will likely retire, and Kevin Ollie is on the minimum salary to which the Wizards signed him earlier this year after releasing AJ Guyton, who was later signed by the Houston Rockets.

While it is currently unknown who the 2nd player from the Pacers will be, it is known that the deal does work under the cap, and Indiana is willing to make the trade.

So the question for readers of this thread is this:

Wizards General Manager has announced 2 trade deadline deals, which have improved the Wizards.

The first deal sent Karl Malone, Kevin Ollie and Scott Williams to the Indiana Pacers in exchange for Brad Miller, Ryan Humphrey and Primo Brezec. The deal makes the Wizards younger and allows Kwame Brown to move back to his more comfortable position at PF.

The 2nd deal saw the Wizards deal Steven Hunter and Ryan Humphrey to the Orlando Magic for Drew Gooden and M. Marcuri.

The Wizards rotation is now:

In the first game since the latest moves by the Washington Wizards, the Wizards left Madison Square Garden with a 89-81 victory over the Knicks. Jerry Stackhouse led the Wizards in scoring with 23 points, but it was Gilbert Arenas who earned POG honors, his first this season for the Wizards, with 15 points, 2 rebounds, 3 steals and 11 assists.

Kwame Brown had an off-night with just 8 points on 4-10 shooting, and also had 9 rebounds.

Oh, forgot to mention that the Pacers released Scott Williams and Kevin Ollie, and I have re-signe Ollie.

Just finished playing the Bucks in Milwaukee, and I got bored at the end as I went on to an ugly 97-70 win.

Tying a franchise record 9-game winning streak, the Wizards travelled to New Orleans to face the Hornets, who ended the Wizards last 9-game winning streak back in 2001 when the Hornets still buzzed around in Charlotte, but this time it was a different story, as the Wizards took it right to the Hornets to end the game on a 9-0 run to win 99-89. The win improves the Wizards record to 39-11.

Jerry Stackhouse, Player of the Game, played a great game with 28 points, to go with 8 rebounds and 4 assists. Kwame Brown was quiet scoring rise, with 13 points, but was still dominating the boards with 12 rebounds. Gilbert Arenas finished 2 assists shy of a double-double with 11 points and 8 assists.

I got tired of this franchise so I started a new one.

I have the real roster for the Wizards. But changes have been made for the 2nd season.

I simmed the first year and went 39-43, and was swept in the first round. I landed the 15th pick and drafted a 6'11 center with a 70 rating (BPA).

I re-signed Gilbert Arenas to a 7 year, 300,000 deal and Bobby Simmons to a 1-year, 64,000 deal.

I traded Bobby Simmons and my draft pick to the Lakers for Derek Fisher, who was then dealt to the Orlando Magic for former Wizard, Chris Whitney.

I decided the sim the entire season, except for March 1st in New Orleans, in which I escaped with a 107-102 overtime victory. Kwame was POG in that game with 23/12/4. Stackhouse had 32 points.

I can't remember the season record, I will post that later on.

I finished first in the East, and will host the Toronto Raptors in the first round.

I played Game 1 of Round 1 against the 8th seeded Toronto Raptors, and while it was a close game right throughout, my biggest lead was 15 points, but Toronto came back to take the lead several times in the 4th, but with the Wizards up by 2 with 5 seconds left, the Raptors had the ball, Vince Carter was called for an off the ball foul which gave possession to the Wizards as they came away with a 88-86 win to take a 1-0 series lead.

Just finished playing Game 2 of the first round, and I was lucky to come away with a 101-96 victory to take a 2-0 lead.

Jerry Stackhouse played poorly in the playoffs thus far, and during the season, he shot 38% FG's. Should I look to deal him? If so, who for? Hew is rated 88 and has something like a 117,000 odd deal. Not sure how many years left. I think it's 2 years.

Finished Game 3, and well, it's going to Game 4. Gilbert Arenas had a shocking first 3 quarters in terms of scoring, his only points there came in the 3rd. But he went for 11 in the 4th, including a few 3's, to help the Wizards get a late run going, but it was left too late. The Wizards had a fourth quarter Raptors lead down to 5 from 15, but 2 hoops by Morris Peterson and Vince Carter put the nail in the coffin, as Toronto took Game 3, 101-94. Kwame Brown led the way for Washington with 27 points, 11 rebounds and 8 blocks. Stackhouse finished with 19 points, 13 of which came in the 1st, and Gilbert Arenas finished with 13 points, 8 assists and 8 steals, 4 in the first quarter.

Game 4- The Wizards took control right from the start, going on a 15-0 run in the first quarter. The lead at one stage in the second half was 17 points, but Toronto refused to die, and got it down to 13 at the end of the 3rd. They then made a huge run to tie the game at 79, but the Wizards proved to good at the end, winning 97-89, to take the series 3-1.

The Wizards face the Orlando Magic in Round 2.

Wallace would be a nice addition, but Brendan Haywood is playing to well to have come off the bench. He had 15 points and 11 rebounds, as well as 5 assists.

But I may be leaning towards not trading Stackhouse, as he played well in Game 4 with 29 points, 5 rebounds and 3 assists.

Well, it's time for the Semi-Finals, as the Washington Wizards host the Orlando Magic. The Wizards started with their usual first possession turnover, but Tracy McGrady got fouled and only managed to hit 1 of 2 free throws. It was a tight battle all of the way, but Jerry Stackhouse was really struggling, only managin 4 points for the 1st half. But Stackhouse took control at the end of the 3rd and the 4th quarter, on his way to a game high 32 points. Kwame Brown was dominating with 27 points and 12 rebounds, while Gilbert Arenas ended with 17 points and 14 assists.

At the end of regulation, the scores were 93-93. To start overtime, the Wizards jumped out early scoring the first 6 points, as they rode onto a 117-107 OT victory to take a 1-0 lead in the series.

I cannot believe my luck. Game 3 in Orlando, I had a 20 point lead in the 3rd quarter, but friggin Derek Fisher with his bullshit 3's brought the Magic back, who went on to win by 15 points. A friggin 35 point turnaround. Stackhouse never got it going, and Kwame had to carry the load, finishing with 32 points and 12 rebounds, to go with 8 blocks, which earned him POG honors. Ty Lue also got into the act for Orlando hitting his first 4 3's. I can't wait for Live 2004 coz this 3 point stuff is bullshit.

This is much better. Fisher didn't go AS CRAZY as he usually does. Kwame Brown had a whale of a game. Gilbert finished with 8 points, 7 boards and 17 assists. Kwame with 32 points, 6 rebounds, 8 block and 2 dimes.

This game was a nail biter, it went right down to the wire. I had a 2 point lead with 22 seconds left. Orlando decided not to go to Derek Fisher, or T-Mac, or Grant Hill, or Drew Gooden, they went to Chris Wilcox to tie the game, and he did, at 88-88. 8 seconds remain, Wizards rush up court deciding against using a TO, in the post to Kwame with 3 secs, he spins, shoots, scores!!!!!! FOUL CALLED ON WILCOX!!!!!!! with 0.3 secs remaining. Kwame hits the bonus, Wizards up 91-88, T-Mac throws up a prey from full court, missed everything. Wizards take 3-1 series lead.
