The TWolves have completed the signing of Ryan Gomes.

Maybe he will do good for you.
But why your salary cap is so high? It is not very realistic, i think

I raised it so that some teams would make some trades, but it's also meant that teams are more likely to resign their best players and there hasn't been much free-agent activity... I might reset it to nearer $59M, what do you think?

Thu Jun 15, 2006 1:05 am

I would say lower it to 59m, But nice signing all the same, I hate how the Celtics dont resign Gomes, he obviously doesnt perform as well in Live as he should.

Actually how long did it take you to do all the editing? Im thinking about doing it if it means some more of the Free Agents will get picked up.......

69M is just too much. I think 59M is good. It is better than 50M, because the free agency is more active then.

Why don't u just keep it around 50? Btw, gj signing Gomes!

Yea Gomes should be avg. 75 rating, or near that, atleast. Not 68. I've only had two end-of-seasons where Amare Stoudemire was not resigned by Phoenix. One time he went to Atlanta, the other time he went back to PHX.

Some ratings are stupid though, like how Tayshaun Prince in NBA Live '05 had a 69avg! LOL!

I lowered it back to 59M, I think you're right on this one :)

At 50M there's no free agent movement. Big players like Ben Wallace and Amare Stoudemire just resign with their usual teams because nobody has enough cap space to sign them.
At 70M there's too much cap space, and less free agent movement because teams are more likely to resign their own players.

Around 60M I think is best, where there is also a bit more room for teams to make trades between themselves (mainly in the offseason) as well as it being a good balancing point for free agency.

I dunno why I worry anyway, cos most of the trades in my dynasty are .dbf edited

The Los Angeles Clippers handed the TWolves their first loss of the regular season after a strong effort by power forward Elton Brand who overcame tough defense by Kevin Garnett to post a personal season high in points (33) and rebounds (16), winning him player of the game honors. The Clippers seem to be handling things well without retired 2005/06 point guard Sam Cassell who drove the Clips to their first second round playoffs appearance for a generation. Sean Livingston has stepped up to handle the pressure adequately and dished out 9 assists to his teammates this game.
Kevin Garnett had a strong game for the TWolves, posting a double-double and adding 4 blocks to his tally, and equalling in points with teammate rookie Kenneth Benzer who played a highlight packed performance as can be seen in the downloadable movies below. Keep an eye out for Benzer's dunk over the Clippers' Korolev, reminiscent of Vince Carter's skying effort over Fred Weiss! Ryan Gomes' first appearance for Minnesota yielded no points, but he grabbed 3 boards to back up Garnett positively.
Troy Hudson played a solid game but received an injury and will miss next weeks game against the Raptors.

Sorry about the loss, but the highlights are very cool.
Benzer has really good dunking skills. His first dunk over Korolev was amazing, as well as other two dunks.
Any rumors of trading for better PG? Now that Hudson is injured you may be lack of game creators.

Really like the presentation...
Big game by Brand...

Fri Jun 16, 2006 2:55 am

Tough loss Shing, nice game by KG! Good luck next game

OOOOWEEE ! ;)

Benzer aka Big Benz is really jumping out of the building. I love the dunk over Korolev, its a well known animation, but the way he plows through the lane is just awesome.

You lost, but it was a great game.

For the 1-guard spot you have to find an alternate imo

For now I'm not looking around for any new PG's. Benzer will start at PG in my next game, Jaric will come off the bench and Rolf Rider is ok off the bench.

Big Benz? Haha! I like it :D And yea when I saw that dunk I was very excited!

Point Guard is a problem, but the Chicago Bulls had Rodman, Pippen, Jordan and... Steve Kerr, so it's ok :)

Tonight the Toronto Raptors made the trip to Minneapolis with a side hoping to prove itself after 2005/06's disappointing record. It seems that with the addition of Tryonne Lue through free agency and center Okeli Sellers in the rookie draft, not much has changed for Toronto. Minnesota own3d the game throughout, never letting the visitors take the lead even once all game. "The Raptors passed up the option to draft [Ivonu] Badu at center and chose Okeli instead," commented Shing Williams after the game, "...letting that pick slip to Atlanta's gonna cost them, I can't believe they didn't pick Badu." The Toronto center produced only 9pts and 6rebounds in todays loss, finding it tough to hold back fellow rookie center Dean Karpovtsev who posted a team high 15 rebounds, adding 2 blocks and 14 points also.
Kenneth Benzer and Kevin Garnett (KB & KG) again topped the scorer chart for Minnesota, until tonight's game they'd performed as part of a terrible-triangle including Ricky Davis, but the Small Forward struggled tonight, guarded by the taller (6'11") second year forward Charlie Villanueva.
Marco Jaric stepped up and filled the place of Troy Hudson superbly whilst the PG was out injured this week. Troy has returned to match fitness, however, and will be looking to start the next fixture.

"Never before..." commented Shing Williams, postgame "...have I seen a team go down so easily." It was hard to invisage the team that played tonight as the same Pacers side that reached the playoffs last year. Minnesota started the first quarter on a 17-8 run, 12 of which came from player of the game Kevin Garnett. In the second quarter there might've been a sense that Indiana could atleast contend to win the game, but the third and fourth saw it slide far out of their reach. Troy Hudson was still missing injured but with Kenneth Benzer at point guard it was clear to see the TWolves are prolific even without their usual starter. Once he returns it will be difficult to decide exactly who will start in Minnesota's backcourt.
Ryan Gomes had his first solid game since joining the TWolves, posting 8pts and 5reb and he came off the bench when Kevin Garnett was tired. Defensive minded center Dean Karpovtsev only managed 4pts and 7reb as he held off challenges by Jermaine O'Neal causing him to run into foul trouble, but in doing so he recorded 4blocks, two of which were on Indiana's big man in the paint. Big Benz posted another solid performance at point guard. Indiana's rookie Lance Dove could do little to hinder Garnett, but did manage a double-double!
Minnesota currently stand 3rd in the West.

Benzer really plays well at PG, I think he should remain here, when Hudson returns from the injury, unless he plays better at SG. Good, convincing victory (Y)
