Wow, ridiculous game by Smoove. I dislike him in real life, but he seems to be going to work for you, that can't be too bad. If only he ever acknowledged his lack of shot in real life, he could be a force.
About MVP - in my opinion, KD and LeBron seem to be head and shoulders above Rose, as far as stats are concerned. Either way, nice stuff you got going on, love the consistency.

Durant and Smith got physical after Durant got frustrated during the Rockets 15-2 run. Smith has 2nd triple-double in 3 games, Rockets rally to beat West's best Thunder Recap | Box Score | Highlights
MVP: Josh Smith put up his second triple-double in 3 games, this time being much more efficient. Once again his late play-making was the difference. Smith's game has really evolved and you couldn't tell whether it was LeBron James or Smith on the court. He had 9 assists in the final period alone, when the Rockets out-scored the Thunder 39-16, including 15-2 to start the quarter.
LVP: Chandler Parsons, Jeremy Lin and Patrick Beverley. The three combined for 8 points on 2-20 shooting, 2-11 from deep. Lucky for them, Smith, Green and Harden combined for 91 points (34-52 FG, 8-16 3PT). I guess Serge Ibaka could be the LVP as well, as the forward fouled out in 7 minutes after scoring 2 points.
X-Factor: The 4th overall pick Nerlens Noel had the best game of his career with 13 points, 14 rebounds and 4 blocks. He was on the court in the fourth quarter, when the Rockets went on their big run. He blocked the Thunder stars Durant and Westbrook twice a piece.
That was... an impressive week: Josh Smith arguably had the best week of his 10-year career. He averaged 30.7 points, 13 rebounds (4.3 offensive) and 8.7 assists on 54% shooting. That's some LeBron-esque numbers from a player, whose basketball IQ has been questioned for years.

Yeah, Durant and LBJ have the stats, I'd just like to see someone else get it. In 2K, it's always one of them.
And Smith would be really good, if he can ever figure out that he is a power forward and that he shouldn't shoot threes.

Never saw Josh Smith as being a good passer, but seems like he's beasting it out for you right now on all aspects of the game. Good stuff

It's better that way than how it was back in NBA Live 06/07, where you always had the Rashard Lewises, Antawn Jamisons and Elton Brands in the MVP discussion, lol. I agree with you, though.

Valor, I guess he's decent for a PF, he had 4.2 last year for the Hawks, 3.5 this year for the Pistons. I'd rather he pass then shoot. I haven't attempted a three with him the last 6 games at least I played, but in a simulated game ha attempted 11.
Oskar, in Live 06, it was Kevin Garnett for me. Every season, even if they are dead last in the league. The first MVP I ever won was in 2K11 because it was impossible in Live games.

Harden had the dunk of the night over Pekovic. Wolves extend winning streak to 12, drop Rockets in OT Recap | Box Score | Highlights
MVP: Despite making just 14 of his career-high 35 shot attempts, Kevin Martin was the best player on the court in overtime. He scored 9 in OT and finished with 40. He also had key assists, finding Pekovic down low to put the Wolves up 2 in regulation with 5 seconds left and also found Ricky Rubio for the game-winning lay-up with 2 seconds left in OT.
LVP: Kevin Love had 11 points and 5 rebounds after putting up MVP numbers during the Wolves 11-game winning streak. He fouled out in the third quarter.
X-Factor: Alexey Shved scored 4 points in OT and had 6 in the fourth quarter, making two huge threes and had a big dunk in OT. He finished with 15 points in 16 minutes.
Defining moment: Josh Smith picked up his fifth foul late in the third, 15 seconds before Kevin Love fouled out. He played the whole fourth quarter with five fouls, scoring 16 points on 8-8 shooting, but Kevin Martin's drive fouled him out. Without Smith, the Rockets couldn't handle the T-Wolves in OT. Perhaps Smith would have blocked Rubio's lay-up to force a 2nd OT?

Yeah he's a real shitty shooter from beyond 17 feet but he keeps shooting those deep balls IRL. Frustrating as hell to watch if you ask me, glad he's not on my team...

I guess you're quite happy with how the season went. Nice to see Harden, Smith and Noel getting honored. Otto Porter winning the ROY is bizarre, he's looking like a complete bust in real life.
Good luck against San Antonio, pretty tough match-up for you.

John Wall making the All-NBA First team despite no playoffs for the Wizards? Must have had a good season

Good luck against the Spurs

I hoped Smith would get to some All-NBA team, he had the stats for it, but I guess I'm happy with the All-Defensive selection.

Yeah, I'd switch the two.

This time last year, Sanders was Asik's back-up in Houston. Now they're the starters for two of the best Texas teams. Green explodes for 32 points as Rockets grab game #1 Recap | Box Score | Highlights
MVP: Gerald Green has spent his previous Playoff stints ('09 w Dallas, '13 w Pacers) on the bench, not scoring in double-figures once. For his first game for the Rockets, he piled up 32 points. He scored the final 10 points for the Rockets, out-scoring the Spurs 10-4 by himself and turning a 2-point game into an 8-point game.
LVP: Chandler Parsons had a very poor shooting month in April and carried that over to game #1 of the Playoffs. The forward finished with 6 points in 28 minutes. His back-up Green had 32 in just 19 minutes.
X-Factor: Patrick Beverley had 5 points, 5 rebounds and 6 assists at the half, on pace for a triple-double. He finished with 9-6-8 and 22 minutes of tenacious defense on Tony Parker and the rest of the Spurs guards.
Defining moment: Josh Smith blocked Tim Duncan's lay-up and Gerald Green posterized Manu Ginobili on the other end to turn a 3-point game into a 6-point game after the free throw. The Spurs didn't score after that devastating dunk in the final 1.19.

Wow @ San Antonio's roster - Parker, Ginobili, Leonard, Duncan, Love and Asik? I'm going to search through the pages to find out how on earth they managed to acquire Kevin Love.
That aside, great win for you. Glad to see Green doing well for you, he's really picking it up in real life as well.

Oskar, yup, that's a typo left from the last game I had, Love is still in Minnesota. If he were in San Antonio, I'd be swept.

Though once while simulating Love went to Miami with LeBron, Wade and Bosh, now that's a scary team...
Green is really playing well, I love using athletic guys who can shoot ever since Live 06 when I scored 31 points in a quarter with James White.

Parsons is my favorite player in Houston, but Green is forcing me to sit him because the latter is much better offensively.

I was wondering how Kevin Love only got 5 rebounds...
Good win, but I'm rooting for the Spurs...cause they are gonna ASIK AND DESTROY!!!

Good start to the post-season with a win over the Spurs. With Asik in tow, they should put up a fight. Good luck!
Tue Mar 18, 2014 7:09 pm
Valor, he actually had 11 & 5 against me, but that's because he was in foul trouble.

Asik will surely be pissed at the Rockets in this story. First, I benched him in the Playoffs, then traded him to Atlanta, who didn't have a shot at making the Playoffs. In San Antonio, he benched Tiago Splitter after a few games.
Lamrock, thanks, Asik surely helps them, as they only had to give up Matt Bonner, who's rated 58.

Harden with the game-sealing steal and coast-to-coast layup. Green top-scores again as Rockets take 2-0 lead. Recap | Box Score | Highlights
MVP: James Harden played an all-around game with 24 points, 7 rebounds and 6 assists and 1 steal. The most important stat in there is the steal. In the closing seconds and holding a one-point lead, Harden, who isn't known for his defense, stripped Tony Parker clean and took the ball all the way to the other end for a lay-up. The Spurs were without time-outs and just over a second left.
LVP: Kawhi Leonard was pretty invisible on the court. He had 5 points and 5 rebounds in 26 minutes with coach Popovich going with the more experienced Stephen Jackson in the late stages of the game.
X-Factor: Speaking of Jackson, the veteran had 18 points, 3 assists and 2 rebounds on 7-11 shooting in 16 minutes of action. He also made 4 huge threes, including one with 2.01 on the clock that tied the game at 106 for the first time since the second quarter.
That was... amasian!: Jeremy Lin's performance in the clutch showed flashes of Linsanity. His crossover on Tony Parker and dunk with 1.33 left put the Rockets up 2 and he copied that move late. Down by 1 after Tim Duncan's layup, Lin wasted no time and took it strong to the hole with 13 seconds left, giving the Rockets the lead right back.
