Thu Jul 20, 2006 5:27 am
yesterday i had a ultimate game, and the other team had about at least half a foot on our team, though we were faster and had better handles.
I went up for a disc against this really tall dude from the other team. i outjumped him and got the disc, but like since i am only 5'8, i still barely got the disc, and on the way down i sort of got turned in midair cause i went over him. i ended up foalling on my ass and back, and now i can barely walk cause my ass hurts

i think i fractured one of those bones in my ass

Final Score

With their season on the line, the Spurs hoped to be able to at least survive to the next game, however that was not meant to be as the Clippers took the lead with less than 30 seconds left, forrcing them to intentionally foul. As it has been all season, the Clippers have been clutch in the end and made all their free throws again, shreading the Spurs' dreams with a score of 116-109.
The game was down to the wire the entire time, with both teams trading leads throughout. This game was tight, and thus caused players on both teams to foul out. Starters Elton Brand and Boris Diaw for the Clippers both got 6 fouls midway in to the last quarter, while Spurs star Tony Parker fouled out as well. These players who fouled out were important during the game. Brand had a double-double with 22 points and 18 rebounds, while Diaw had 18 points and 9 rebounds. Parker also had a double-double with 26 points and 10 assists.
Manu Ginobili looked like himself in the first game was he scored a game high 40 points. The Spurs frontcourt had double digit rebounds from Tim Duncan and Robert Horry, but Duncan only had 15 points while Horry only had 7 points. THe Clippers' Sam Cassell also had a double-double; he had 20 points and 10 assists as well.
The Clippers won this game simply because they made their free throws in the end while managing to force the Spurs to miss a couple shots, and grabbing the boards.
This game completes the 12th straight playoff win for the Clippers. In the Eastern Conference, the Cavs, without superstar LeBron James, lost to the Philadelphia 76ers 4-3... thus setting up a NBA Finals, with the first seed in the West and the second seed in the East.

Wow man, 3 consecutive sweeps, that's unheard. I think no team has ever did that. Good luck against Philly...

I will be very disappointed if you don't win it all because you win against such incredible teams in the West. Don't blow it against a shit team like Philly (no offence, Philly fans).

Final Score

With only 2.0 seconds and the score tied at 102, Corey Maggette inbounded the ball to Elton Brand, who streaked from the three point line to catch the ball. Then Brand proceeded to dribble into the paint and with Allen Iverson and Samuel Dalembert in his face, he put up a left handed running hook from about five foot out, and the ball swished in with 0.2 seconds left, leaving the Sixers with a prayer shot that never got close.
Brand had only 8 points, but that game winning shot was perhaps one of the biggest he's had this playoffs. Brand did however manage to grab 12 rebounds. Center Boris Diaw fouled out, though he did contribute a respectable 18 points and 8 rebounds.
For the sixers Dalembert and Iguodala both managed double-doubles, and Chris Webber almost had another one.
Overall Chris Webber and Mike Miller both had the highest number of points, with 26.
That Brand picture at the bottom left was taken from Windows Media Player, therefore its not that clear, sorry

Final Score

Again with the game tied at 101 and only 5 seconds left, Clippers guard Mike Miller propelled his team to a victory by nailing the game winning three pointer. This is the second consecutive game that the Clippers have had a winning shot.
Miller's 26 points led the Clippers team in scoring. THe game was down to the end again as two of the Clippers' most important players, Corey Maggette and Boris Diaw fouled out. On the other side stars Andre Iguodala, Allen Iverson and Samuel Dalembert fouled out as well.
Chris Webber and Boris Diaw led all players with 15 rebounds, but in the end the Sixers bench just could not match up to the talent on the Clippers' bench, and they couldn't match up on Miller, allowing him to sink the winning shot. Vladmir Radmanovic was the key star off the bench with 14 points.

Final Score

There were no game winners in this game, however it still went down to the wire. With the Clippers up 122-121, the Sixers intentionally fouled the Clippers, but the Clippers continued their great and clutch free throw shooting, sinking the Sixers.
Allen Iverson and Corey Maggette led the way for both teams. Iverson scored a game high 41 while Maggette scored 38. The difference was that Iverson, Andre Iguodala, and Samuel Dalembert all fouled out in the end, which is why the Sixers couldn't score near the end of the game. Iverson also had 11 assists while Iguodala had 12 rebounds; Dalembert also grabbed 9 rebounds. Losing all this talent, there was nothing the Sixers could do.
Elton Brand had 17 points and 10 rebounds, Maggette also grabbed 9 rebounds. With this win, there is only one more game left for the Clippers to complete the 4 series sweep. They have 14 wins so far, one more will give them the first total sweep of the playoffs, an unheard of achievement.

Final Score

Vladmir Radmanovic was injured in the beginning of the 4th quarter after he collided on offense with Samuel Dalembert. He went out for the majority of the quarter, but due to the foul out of Boris Diaw, who had a 18 and 8 game, Vlad was put back into the game. Things could have not turned out any better. With only 8 seconds left in the first overtime, Sam Cassell took the inbounds pass and gave it to Radmanovic, who dribbled to his left and floated up a jumper over his man, Steven Hunter. The ball swished in just as the buzzer sounded. The Clippers rushed and lifted Vlad, carrying him off the court. They had won their franchise's first ever NBA Championship, and they won it in style, sweeping every series. They may have relied on several buzzer beaters, espically in this series, which they used it to win 3 out of 4 games, but in the end a win is a win and the Clippers achieved exactly that.
The game went into overtime when the game was tied at 121-121, Sam Cassell tried to pass to Brand for a last shot, but Allen Iverson poked it away from Brand as the buzzer sounded, pushing the game into overtime.
Corey Maggette scored 30 points and grabbed 10 rebounds, and Elton Brand also had a double-double. Sixth man Shaun Livingston came off the bench and scored 14 points, bench player Hakim Warrick also scored 11 points. Sam Cassell had a huge last game, with 31 points and 12 assists. This may have been his final game, as he announced earlier he was considering retirement.
Yet again Philadelphia had trouble with fouls, they had three of their players foul out again, them being Andre Iguodala, Louis Williams, and Allen Iverson. Iverson led the entire game with 34 points before he fouled out.
This was the first ever "playoff" sweep, who knows if something like this will ever happen again.
Small Foward Corey Maggette was named the MVP of the playoffs.

Amazing. Great sweep. Great recap. A little unrealsitic that anyone sweeps every series. I loved it.
Mon Jul 24, 2006 2:41 pm
Congrats, but the fact that you swept through the damn thing made it kind of unrealistic.
Maggette is my favourite Clipper at the moment, so I'm glad that he at least got some recognition in Live.
Mon Jul 24, 2006 2:41 pm
nice....you won
fo fo fo fo...is this getting too easy for you?

yeah.... thats very true... i guess its just the buzzer beaters

yea i agree. its a bit unrealistic, but i play to win, and if i have to use FFS to win games, then i probably will..
if this is unrealistic, wait until the draft... i think
cwebbiverson wrote:nice....you won

i think its just cause my team is so perfectly rounded... Brand is a FFS down the middle, CMag is a FFS at SF, and MM is a FFS with three pointer... Diaw and Cassell have more than enough ability to score too... I think I might even make a few trades or something against me just to make it a bit harder. My team is ranked like a 94 rating or something.
