AI Brings it Home

Starting Lineups

The 76ers have done it yet again. The have proved themselves as one of the East's top dogs by defeating the Detroit Pistons in their home court. It was no easy trick though as Power Forward Rasheed Wallace of the Pistons turned it on with 30 PTS on the night but the story was the play of Allen Iverson who scored 44 points and set a new season-high as the Sixers won it by a score of 110-104. The Sixers got off to a hot start as Allen Iverson exploded in the first. The Pistons answered back with Rasheed Wallace who was nailing mid range jumpers all night because of being shut down by Chris Webber in the post. Laphonso Ellis who was recently signed by the Pistons was hot from the 3 point line and nailed some clutch three's to pull Detroit back into the game and eventually gave them the lead. But as they always do, the Sixers went down low to Chris Webber and he brought back the lead for Philadelphia. Ben Wallace had a very quiet night, almost invisible on the court and the Sixers' bench came out flying yet again tonight and added to Philadelphia's lead. In the fourth, both teams continued to exchanged baskets and the crowd was loving it but coming down the stretch Allen Iverson stole the show and the game for Philadelphia.

Well done Sensation, you defeated the Pistons, this was surely a very tough game for the Sixers. Well in the end, Iverson was there when his team needed him the most, scoring 44 points on 77% shooting. That is unbelievable! By the way, nice retro jerseys weared by the Sixers. (Y)

Fri Aug 19, 2005 12:22 pm

Thanks, I like those retros too. But my games are only getting tougher, the Mavs are next.

Fri Aug 19, 2005 12:33 pm

I think you should have no problem defeating the Mavs as long as AI can continue to shoot 77% from the field. I know you can do it. Go get the Mavs! :D

Lol, thanks bro. You seem to enjoy Live 03 Franchises, do you own Live 03? If so, you should really make a franchise. (Y)

is the mavs record better than detroit? seems like detroit on the road should be tougher than mavs wherever.... :?:

Sat Aug 20, 2005 2:16 am

I meant they'll be tougher since the team's had to put up with so many tough teams recently and Dallas will be taking it to us. Game Preview coming soon!

Dallas Mavericks Preview

Image

The 76ers will once again have their hands full against the powerful offensive force squad of the Dallas Mavericks. The Mavericks come into the game being one of the top teams in the west with a 28-10 Record as Philadelphia comes in to the game being one of the top teams in the East with a 24-14 record. This could be a possible Finals Matchup. The 76ers will bring their Superstar combo of Allen Iverson and Chris Webber as Dallas brings their European Sensation, Dirk Nowitzki. Dirk, not alone on the powerful Mavericks roster. He's joined by guard Michael Finley, Jason Terry and forward Jerry Stackhouse who'll come off the bench in tonight's game. It should be a heck of a showdown as East meets West in this possible Finals matchup.

Yes, he is. Mavs Preview done.^

Dallas vs Sixers could be the Finals Series too... BTW, in my NBA Live 2003 the Mavs is almost unstopable to stop because they do too much fast break points... let's see if the Sixers can hold then... good luck dude.

I do owned Live 03, but since I want to focus on my uni's assignment. I don't think I have the time to make my own franchise. Anyway, I very like your franchise alot, review, recap, some pics, player of the game, etc.

Goodluck on your game against the Mavs and I am looking forward to see the all-star game. :D

Sun Aug 21, 2005 11:36 am

Thanks, I would've enjoyed having someone else have a Franchise in the 03 Section since I have the only active one.

Player of the Game: Allen Iverson

The Philadelphia 76ers have defeated some tough teams most recently and you'd think that they wouldn't have anything left in the tank but Philadelphia proved everyone wrong once again. The opponents: Dirk Nowitzki and the Dallas Mavericks, forced to give in to the 76ers now drop to 28-11 on the season and closer to the Phoenix Suns in the Western Standings and as for Philadelphia, the win moved them a half game ahead of Shaq and the Heat in the Eastern end. It was a close battle all the way through but like usual, Philadelphia pulled away at the end and ensured the victory despite Dirk Nowitzki's 35 Points. Allen Iverson was named Player of the Game once again with 29 points and he and Forward Chris Webber will likely meet Dirk Nowitzki again in the All-Star Game in a few days.
