A French Guy (Diaw) Leads Phoenix to Victory

    December 8, 2006
    Boston Celtics – 112
    Phoenix Suns - 118

Boston was only down two possessions at the start of the quarter, and it stayed that way throughout the entire last quarter. Each team had their brilliant moments during the game: Shaun Marion imitating Jordan, Amare’s fast break block on Richard Hamilton, or Gerald Green jumping from outside the lane for a huge two-handed dunk.

Mostly it was a battle between Boris Diaw and Paul Pierce. Several calls didn’t go the Celtics way, including a blocking foul on Pierce and an offensive foul instead of an and-1 dunk by Perkins.

Truly right now I just don’t have much to say… kind of tired. Enjoy the pictures

Tough loss although very very nice game by West. And I have to admit I really love the quality of your pictures.

Thu Nov 30, 2006 7:36 am

i wanna play again

Thu Nov 30, 2006 7:40 am

That's what I thought when I got owned by Ben Wallace in my last game. :(

Thu Nov 30, 2006 8:19 am

Well thanks for the reminder that Diaw is a french guy

Tough loss man

Thu Nov 30, 2006 11:17 am

that french bastard how could he :P

Thu Nov 30, 2006 11:51 am

I'm happy when I see guys like Diaw have good outings in the game. Sad you lost though but you'll get over it.

Thu Nov 30, 2006 2:41 pm

Nah, I think I am gonna kill one of the Stat TA's (who is French) because Diaw was French and he beat my team.

Truely Diaw was a great player in last year's game and still a superb one in this game. Perhaps I should consider reaquiring him in my 07 dynasty, though I felt like I've made enough trades for like 2 season already...

... but then again, Danny Ainge IS technically the GM of the team. And since he's fucked in the head, why not more trades. :P

Fri Dec 01, 2006 12:16 am

Well, Diaw was feeling it, you should definitely get him :)
Nice dynasty as always, I love your pics, your graphic card is just ass kicking.

Celtics Squeak Out 11-Point Win With Free-Throws

    December 9, 2006
    Boston Celtics – 109
    New Jersey Nets - 98
Click on team names for Boxscores!

The game was deadlocked at 71 at the beginning of the last quarter. Delonte West took charge to score 4 points in a row while Vince Carter was slammed to the ground by Al Jefferson and was too busy arguing with the referee instead of defending.

Several minutes into the quarter, even New Jersey fans were taken out of their seats when Pierce caught a alley-hoop from Delonte West and dunked it right on Richard Jefferson’s dome. If you are a dunker, as Jefferson is, you have to be prepared to be dunked on too. Pierce used the dunk as fuel as he hit 2 more consecutive shots, one of them a three-pointer on consecutive possessions. The Nets started to come back a little bit with a beautiful Vince Carter up and under layup, then a long-ranged shot by Jason Kidd. The Nets in the end tried to intentionally foul the Celtics, however that didn’t do anything and the Celtics managed to keep their lead.

Paul Pierce was named the Player of the Game with a team high 31 points, as well as grabbing 6 rebounds and dishing out 5 assists. Kedrick Perkins didn’t do much on the scoreboard, but he did grab a game high with 15 rebounds. Vince Carter led his team with 32 points while Jason Collins and Nenad Krstic both grabbed double-digit rebounds. Promising rookie Andrew Watson did not play much today, and thus took no shots at all. His only bright spot during the game were his 2 offensive rebounds in 6 minutes of play.

Boston Outscores NY by 11 in the 4th Quarter to Win Game

    December 11, 2006
    Boston Celtics – 123
    New York Knicks - 107
Click on team names for Boxscores!

New York had the game tied early in the 4th quarter when Quentin Richardson dunked the ball. However in the next several minutes, Boston went on a 10 – 1 run to take the lead at 94 – 85. Just as quickly as Boston got the huge lead, they let the Knicks come back. New York went on a 10 – 4 run of its own and made it just a 3 point game. Near the end of the game, with Boston having a double – digit lead, Gerald Green took over, with 2 beautiful dunks on Knicks high flyer Richardson.

Delonte West was named POTG with 27 points and 10 rebounds. Paul Pierce also had a very good game with 18 points and 14 rebounds while Al Jefferson had 17 and 11. Richard Hamilton also had 25 points. New York’s Eddy Curry had a strong game with 24 points and a game high 18 rebounds, including 12 on the offensive boards. Channing Frye pitched in with 11 points and13 rebounds.
