should be exciting.

Now Let's look at the recap of the week of Nov. 27- Dec. 3.
In an intervened game, the Sixers beat the Rockets 101-99. Here are some pics.

This tied the game at 94.

The win was much easier since Yao fouled out. Here are the boxscores.

After the game, I got more praise from the owner and information on the power rankings.

Like I said before the year started, Miami is the team to beat. They are in great shape even with Antoine Walker injured.

Then, the Sixers blew out the Raptors 97-67. No one had any really great stats, it was a team effort.

Then in a game against Milwaukee, the Sixers lost 120-106 in OT. Philly collapsed, shooting 1-7 from the field, and Milwaukee was without Alonzo Mourning and Michael Redd, who fouled out early in the overtime session. The loss ended an 8 game winning streak and stopped a 12 out of 13 streak. It was also the first time this year that the Sixers lost to any team not named the Miami Heat.

Now onto the preview for the Lakers-Sixers game....

ULTIMATE HARDWOOD CLASSICS NIGHT
On June 1 George Mikan died. He was a great pioneer to the sport of basketball and led the Minneapolis Lakers to several NBA titles. In tonight's game against the Sixers, Mikan's #99 will be retired. Also to honor Mikan, the teams will be wearing throwback jerseys. The Lakers will wear their 1949-50 jerseys, while the Sixers will wear their 1956-57 jerseys.

Going to the game, the Sixers won a high scoring battle, 143-124. Here is a pic of the 2 NLSC players in the game.

Those are the standings. As you can see, we lead the Atlantic and only Miami has a better record. They are on pace for 73 wins this season, which would break a record.

Congrats Sensation, you have won the east rookie of the month. Now let's take a look at how NLSC players fared by looking at their birdie scores.

Khalid "Sac-Town" Sleiman 1.66 birdie pts
Kyle "Colickyboy" Radcliff 1.79 birdie pts
Jason "Kobe101" Billones 17.17 birdie pts
Alex "cwebbiverson" Buckley 18.95 birdie pts

That means the NLSC player of the month is me. The NLSC rookie of the month goes to Kobe101. Hopefully, Sac-Town and Colickyboy see an increase in playing time.

If either one of sac-town or colickyboy wins the playoff prediction thing, you will get to choose where u play next year. I promise though, that the Kings and Bulls will make moves at the deadline to get u more playing time.

Yeh we dont play them again till the 29th of Jan. That could be a big game.

colickyboy wrote:great recaps. team is on fire!

yeh. and btw, the sixers play the bulls 3 times this week.

Let's look at the recap for the week of Dec. 11-17.

The Sixers started off the week with the 1st of 3 games this week against the Chicago Bulls. They won 113-99. Sensation had 15 points, 14 rebounds, and 8 assists. Colickboy had 2 points in 2 minutes.

While checking the box scores, an NBA record for futility was set. Here is what happened.
Image
Thats right. J-Kidd, Vinsanity, and Jefferson led a club that scored an NBA record low 45 points, and with that an NBA record low 14 points in the second half. Kidd shot 2-15. So did Carter. Jefferson shot 4-13. No one shot better then 33.3% of their shots (CJ Miles). The nets had an awful 17.7 FG% and 1-14 from beyond the arc. The Cavs almost matched the Nets total of points after the first quarter, scoring 41 during the first 12 minutes. You might expect the Nets to lose with injuries to both of their PF's, but not this bad.

The Sixers are now 19-4, and look to add on to their win total next week.

Fri Oct 14, 2005 11:40 pm

Thanks Sensation.

Lets look at the last week of the year 2005, which starts with a Christmas Day, and NLSC, matchup. The Kings played the Sixers

The Kings won the opening tip, and started the game out with a 10-2 run, while forcing Chris Webber into foul trouble 3 minutes into the game. They got that to 13-2, until Allen Iverson scored on a dunk. Iverson then scored again, until Luke Walton, who came in for Webber, picked up his 2nd foul. The Sixers were forced to use a lot of their deep bench, but it's not a bad thing, however you would like your best players on the court. Also NRNB entered the game late in the 1st, scoring on a layup with several men around him. Sensation sunk a pair of free throws for his only points of the quarter. Green hit a layup with 2.6 seconds left in the quarter, and the Sixers entered the second down by 10. SAR killed the Sixers with 8 points and 7 boards in the quarter.
The Kings continued their excellent play to the start the 2nd quarter, holding a double-digit lead while Andre Iguodala got his 3rd foul. However, the Sixers quieted the crowd when Sensation threw an alley-oop to backup forward Deng Gai. The Sixers now thought that they could be right back in it soon. Sensation burned Mike Bibby one-on-one to make a layup, then C-Webb came back into the game, and the first thing he did was block a shot by Francisco Garcia. But then NRNB shot a 3 over AI, and the momentum was back to the Kings. Sensation tried to bring the momentum right back, trying to burn NRNB. But then Garcia came over to help and Sensation lost the ball. The Sixers played like crap, and the score at haltime was 60-36.
Things weren't changing to start the 3rd, as the Kings led by 30. Jarrett Jack tried to get things going by hitting a highly contested 3, but the Kings would not let up. Bonzi Wells came up with a block on Andre Iguodala, and you could tell that the Sixers heads were thinking about Christmas, and not this game. It was the third quarter, but hundreds of fans had already left due to holiday reasons. People could hear Mo Cheeks saying, "We didn't want to give Sacramento an early Christmas present, but they took it from us. So far, we haven't gotten it back." Iggy hit a 3 at the end of the 3rd, but Philly was still down by 33.
In the 4th, both teams used most of their bench players, as the crowd started to leave. The Kings ended up winning 116-84.

Then the Sixers got the Power Rankings. Even though they were blown out at Sacramento, the Sixers were still #2 in the Power Rankings.

Then Mo Cheeks and the angry Sixers staff decided to have training sessions to get the Sixers playing good again. They had a full session for each of the following: Shooting, Defense, Offense, and Conditioning.

Now onto the next 3 games this week. First the Sixers beat the Knicks 79-68.

NRNB you did pretty good in that Sixers game. Sensation and NRNB however will not be playing each other again this season.

Now lets look at the recap of December.

The Sixers were more than pleased to see the power rankings to open the new year. Here is what we received.

Yes. The Sixers were finally awarded the #1 ranking in the Power Rankings despite two bad losses during the week. However, Mo Cheeks said, "It feels great to be on top of the league. However, all that matters is that we win another championship."

With that, the Sixers started their week against the Atlanta Hawks. The Sixers beat the Hawks 91-65. Atlanta had only 6 points in the 4th quarter.

And here are the scores for the other 3 games. (DUE TO TECHNICAL DIFFICULTIES THE SIXERS WILL NOT BE ABLE TO RELEASE THE BOX SCORES FOR THESE GAMES)

First the Sixers beat the Blazers 102-96.
Then the Sixers beat the Grizzlies 94-86.
To end the week the Sixers beat the Cavs 99-92.

Good stuff, Webber struggled against the Bobcats bot regainsed himself in the next few games. I missed a triple-double against the 'Cats by a single rebound and assist. :x Oh well I'll take it though. Looking good cwebbiverson, good to see some updates. I'd just like to see more competitive games instead of Philly always winning by a big margin. I'd like to see some close games where clutch comes into play like we did against the Wizards. I'd just like to see it more consistantly. Other than that, keep up the good work.
