NBA Playoffs 2011 Eastern conference preview
1. Miami Heat (60-22) vs 8. Milwaukee Bucks (39-43)
Season series: 3-1 Heat win
Their time is now. Self titled champions Miami Heat will play against Milwaukee Bucks in this first round of playoffs. South Beach can't wait to see how their Monster three will perform in this playoffs, because everybody wants to see Larry O'Brien Trophy in sunny Miami.
Prediction: Heat in 4
2. Chicago Bulls (53-29) vs 7. Indiana Pacers (42-40)
Season series: 4-0 Bulls win
Bulls swept Pacers in season series this year, and improved their record dramatically from last season. With young stars Derrick Rose and Joakim Noah and experienced Luol Deng and Carlos Buzzer they will start their run for a trophy.
Prediction: Bulls in 5
3. Boston Celtics (51-31) vs 6. Atlanta Hawks (44-38)
Season series: 3-1 Celtics win
Another good season for Celtics and another run for 18th title in their history. With Big Three getting older, Celtics made a deal to acquire Rip Hamilton, since the trade Celtics were unstoppable but injury of Ray Allen stopped their winning streak. Now Celtics will try to bring 18th Trophy back to Boston. Who knows, maybe they can do it.
Prediction: Celtics in 6
4. Orlando Magic (48-34) vs 5. New York Knicks (47-35)
Season series: 2-2 Series tied
Finally, New York Knicks back to playoffs, thanks to Donnie Walsh for bringing Carmelo back to his hometown along with Billups and trading away Curry's huge contract. This series will be very interesting, both teams won two games in regular season against each other.
Prediction: Magic in 7Western conference preview
1. Los Angeles Lakers (59-23) vs 8. New Orleans Hornets (42-40)
Season series: 4-0 Lakers win
Hype it up. Lakers begin their 3-Peat quest against eight seeded Hornets. Lakers dominated in season series blowing and sweeping Hornets.
Prediction: Lakers in 4
2. Dallas Mavericks (54-28) vs 7. Oklahoma City Thunder (45-37)
Season series: 2-2 Series tied
Thunder made playoffs again, but this time as a seventh seed. They will play first round against Championship contenders Dallas Mavericks. Season series were tied, and both teams have their leaders, Kevin Durant and Dirk Nowitzki. This will be very tough for Thunder, but they got young superstars and finally true center Perkins. Who will win? You decide.
Prediction: Mavericks in 5
3. San Antonio Spurs (50-32) vs 6. Portland Trail Blazers (46-36)
Season series: 3-1 Trail Blazers win
Spurs and Blazers once again in playoffs. Old vs Young - Tim Duncan against LaMarcus Aldridge. Trail Blazers won three games in regular season against Spurs and two of them in San Antonio. Impressive, but veteran team Spurs are hungry and wants their fifth title.
Prediction: Spurs in 7
4. Memphis Grizzlies (47-35) vs 5. Houston Rockets (46-36)
Season series: 2-2 Series tied
Rockets are back on track after missing playoffs in 2010, Rockets made playoffs as a fifth best team in tough West. Yao healthy and now Rockets are ready to take on newcomers Grizzlies. Will Grizzlies win their first ever playoff series? Or Rockets will dominate once again?
Prediction: Rockets in 7
