Very nice recap, must have been a lot of work to do so. Keep it up and start Gay once in a while maybe at SG. (Y)

I dunno. Probably an hour or so.

are you going to be making any other deals with the Celtics?

Well, I think by now its pretty obvious Nazr has got to go.

I've been playing him a lot at the SF and PF positions because ingame he's a pretty physical guy, plus my team is towards the shorter, faster side.

Richard Hamilton Saves Game With Steal

    December 1, 2006
    Boston Celtics – 106
    Charlotte Bobcats - 99
Click on team names for Boxscores!

Coming off a very successful November, the Celtics hosted the Charlotte Bobcats for the first day of December. It took a lunging steal from Richard Hamilton on a inbounds pass for Raymond Felton that sealed the game.

Before the steal however, the game was extremely close. Each team drove down the court with good tempo and matched each other’s misses and makes. Down 96-93 with just 48 seconds left, Wally Szczerbiak drained a three pointer over Raymond Felton and tied it. Following a Charlotte score, Gerald Green managed an and-one with a windmill dunk over Gerald Wallace, then drew the foul in the process; he missed the free throw however.

So with Hamilton’s steal, Felton was forced to intentionally foul Hamilton, who made both shots. Afterwards the Bobcats missed a hurried shot, which led to another intentional foul. Paul Pierce was named POTG with 22 points and 11 rebounds, 4 assists, and 2 steals. The Celtics backcourt with Pierce were the main support for the Celtics, as Hamilton pitched in 21 while West continued his great play with 23. For the Bobcats Quach led the team with 18 while Emeka Okafor was held to only 17.

Hm... Not sure... I forgot to check, but it might have been your knee. At least your second injury (shall happen soon ) was regarding your ankle.

oh man... I just got back from the second fall concert this semester... and DISTURBED totally rocked the school. I was in the Mosh Pit for the first band Nonpoint, and it started getting a bit out of control already, and because we didn't want to get hurt, we left and went up to a seat. Flyleaf's girl leader singer was something different, though when she wasn't singing, her voice was a little strange. Afterwards Stone Sour came on, and they rocked out with some nice stuff. Then finally Disturbed.. god... it was brilliant. They played like an entire albums worth of music, and not any like shitty songs, these were their BEST songs, most popular, and the place was flipping out. Disturbed was on for like an hour, then left, and came back on again for several more songs. Best received were Voice, Land of Confusion, Ten Thousand Fists.... soooo worth it. (Y)

BTW update will be coming soon ;)

Bulls Fall Without Super Rookie Jon Smith

    December 2, 2006
    Boston Celtics – 109
    Chicago Bulls - 100
Click on team names for Boxscores!

With rookie sensation Jon Smith being played on the injury list the previous day, Chicago was forced to put P.J. Brown in the spot, hoping he could try to imitate the rookie’s performances. Things didn’t look good though as the Bulls headed into the quarter trailing 81 – 65.

Ben Wallace came alive on the defensive end, stuffing an Al Jefferson dunk attempt towards the beginning of the last quarter. After the block, Wallace hustled down the floor and got the dunk down before Jefferson was able to come back. Wallace was the only player worthy of mention early in the quarter as the other Bulls players appeared helpless, allowing Richard Hamilton and Paul Pierce to have their way with them.

Chicago slowly started to mount their come-back, which was induced by blocks on consecutive possessions by Wallace and Brown on Gay and Gerald Green. Rookie Alex Buckely came off the bench and was a spark, driving by Wally Szczerbiak and laying the ball over Josh Boone. In the end however Chicago ran out of time, letting the Celtics walk out with a 109 – 100 win. Kirk Hinrich was named POTG with 35 points, 5 rebounds, and 10 assists.

Nazr has been underperforming for the Celtics ever since he came over as part of the Richard Hamilton dead. Monta Ellis was traded heads-up for Ryan Gomes, but he didn’t see any more playing time in Boston than he did at Golden State. Posey is someone the Celtics are needed, a good lock-down defender. Posey is not expected to start, but most likely will play behind Paul Pierce at Small Forward and make some appearances too at Power Forward.

This is the third superstar rookie to go down with an injury so far this season, the previous ones being Ben Branch of Toronto, and Jon Smith of Chicago. Sor’s injury will leave fellow rookie Sam Anurak with a new back-court partner in Martel Webster. The two have never played on the court at the same time before, so it will be interesting to see how they co-exist. Sor is expected to return near the halfway point of the month.

Tue Nov 21, 2006 12:42 pm

strong efforts from jefferson and rip the new bulls defense would have been tough to adjust to at first, good to see you get the win though (Y)

Rookie Mark Moore Leads Memphis, but Grizzlies still lose

    December 6, 2006
    Boston Celtics – 97
    Memphis Grizzlies - 82
Click on team names for Boxscores!

Boston was losing by 7 points, 66 – 59 at the start of the last quarter, however Boston got the ball to start with. Boston took off when Delonte West stole the ball right out of Dahntay Jones’ hands when he was dunking. This amazing play earned the top play on Sportscenter, as well as jump start the fast break down court, which eventually led to West draining a 3-pointer.

Several possessions later, West stole the ball from Moore, who is still inexperienced. On the way down, Hamilton was fouled by Stromile Swift, leading to two made Hamilton free throws, tying the game. From this point forward, the Grizzlies never lead the game again. Rudy Gay and James Posey both made their marks, with Gay dunking the ball on Swift and MVP leading candidate Pau Gasol; Posey also got his first Celtics assist with an alley-hoop to Gay. Posey scored his first points as a Celtics when he dunked on fast break.

By the end of the game, the Grizzlies could not get any closer as Boston pulled out to a 15 point win. Paul Pierce was named the Player of the Game with 24 points, 6 rebounds, and 6 assists. Gay was the only player off the bench with double-digits, he had 10 points. MVP candidate Gasol was held to only 3 points the entire night, but he did make up for some of it with a game high 19 rebounds. Moore had nearly a triple-double, having 9 rebounds and 6 assists to go with his 20 points.
