Charlotte January 18 (Ticker) -- At 5-10, the ailing Bobcats looked to upset the powerful Dallas Mavericks. The game would be close for most of the first half, with both teams trading baskets for the most part of 24 minutes. Then Joseph Pedrajas nailed a shot from the other 3 point line
that extended the Bobcats lead to 11. After that, Dallas fell apart. The Bobcats never lost the double digit lead, and Avery Johnsons defensive tactics did not work. Also, the Bobcats worked hard at limiting Dirk Nowitzki to just 21 points. Robert Skrnjug exploded for the Bobcats, collecting 31 points and 21 boards, while tallying 5 blocks. Andrew Watson did not play much, but managed to score a bucket in 2 minutes of action. Charlotte will look forward to carrying this momentum against the Sixers next week.
