Jason Richardson capped off a career high 44 point night with a poster on Araujo

Oakland, November 26, 2005 (Ticker) - It was a career night for Jason Richardson, who scored 44 points as his Warriors held off the red hot Raptors who came into the building with a five game winning streak. The Golden State backcourt had 66 points, 8 rebounds and 5 assists and 3 steals combined. All their starters scored in double digits and Derek Fisher had 12 points off the bench.

It looked like the Raptors were finally tired during their road trip. In the third quarter, they got outscored by Golden State 38 - 26, as that quarter turned out to be the deciding quarter of the game. Chris Bosh lead the Raptors with 30 points, 7 boards and 2 assists, and Charlie V. had another double double off the bench with 17 points and 10 boards. He also added 3 blocked shots. The rest of the players just finally seemed exhausted on the final game of their road trip. This was evident from the free throw line as the Raptors were uncharacteristic 12-21 from the charity strip (57.1%)Mike James was held to 4-11 shooting for 11 points, but dished out 15 assists.

After the game, Jason Richardson commented on his career night. "I just tried to come out and be aggressive. I wasn't really doing anything out of coach's offensive system. I just felt good today. Almost everything was dropping for me, so my teammates just fed me the ball." Jalen Rose also commented on the game, and he was quoted saying "I mean, they're a great offensive team. They got alot of talented players on their roster. J-Rich tonight was just amazing for them. He just broke us done in the end. He had some incredible dunks too, and he reminded me a little bit of Vince when he was around."

The Raptors now fly home to welcome the Mavericks on Monday.

Wow what a game by J-Rich! Tough loss man.

Davis and J-Rich really got you. Mike James was impressive with 15 Dimes. Btw, I love the pic of Richardson on Araujo! Tough loss, but it doesn't get much easier when Dallas is in town. Good luck.
