Adam Morrison's late three secures the first win of the season at Chicago

Image

The Suns played better ball than last game against the Hawks and gets a great win on the road against the Bulls, 90-87. The Suns were led again by the Latvian Andris Biedrins who scored a game high 22 along with 6 rebounds. Steve Nash keep playing at a high level, he scored 13 points with 14 assists on 5-12 from the field. Sixth man Channing Frye was on fire from the bench, scoring 19 points. Adam Morrison played only 5 minutes, but he scored the game clinching 3 pointer with 1 minute left to put the Suns ahead by 5.

From the Bulls, Derrick Rose led the team with 15 points and 13 assists. Newly adquired Allan Iverson scored 11 points and 6 assists, but commited 7 turnovers in his Bulls debut. All 5 starters scored in double figures, but nobody scored more than Rose.

FREE THROWS

• Adam Morrison scored 5 points in his Suns debut
• Jason Richardson isn't shooting the ball too much. He just scored 10 points
• The Suns bench was great, scoring 32 points
• Robin Lopez is showing that he can be a defensive threat, he had 3 steals and 2 blocks

NOVEMBER NEWS AND RUMOURS

Mavericks trade Kidd, Terry in separate deals

The Dallas Mavericks traden, in stunning fashion, Jason Kidd and Jason Terry in two separate deals, both were ugly.
The PG was traded to Cleveland in exchange of Anderson Varejao, the Mavs lose one of the best point guard of the game and added a forward who will backup Dirk Nowitzki and centers Tyson Chandler and Brendan Haywood. The trade is totally nonsense too because Kidd is searching for a ring, and the Cavs are in totally rebuilding mode
Terry was traded to Sacramento in exchange for Omri Casspi. Now the Mavs are thin at the backcourt

Suns trade C Brown to Cleveland for Draft Pick

The Suns wants to have a good chemistry in their locker room, and Kwame isn't the best fit. He was unhappy with his role and the Suns inmmediatly traded him to Cleveland for a 1st rounder in next year draft. The Cavs are going to use him as the starting C due to the Varejao trade and the leavings of Shaq and Ilgauskas.
The Suns are getting the Cavs first rounder, and is very likely that it will be a Top 10 pick

Ricky Rubio unhappy in Minnesota?

Ricky Rubio told to a Spanish Diary that's he's a bit upset with his role in Minny. He is coming from the bench but he is only playing 14 minutes a game. He said that he was promised to have a bigger role and that he will be in the starting 5. He also said that if this problem continues, he will ask for a trade.

Suns' Morrison showing flashes

Adam Morrison, the 3rd pick in the NBA Draft years ago, is showing some flashes of his old form in Hawaii. The Suns put him in the lineup for almost the entire 4th quarter and he played at a high level, including a game-clinching three pointer at Chicago.

Hawaii Suns tickets are almost solduot

The Beach Boys are a success in Hawaii, they have just played a game but with full crowd. A study revealed that they have sold 97% of their season tickets. So hurry up Suns fans.

SUNS LOSE TIGHT ONE IN NEW ORLEANS

Image

In a ultra slow paced game, the Suns couldn't stop the late rally made by the Hornets and lose 77-75 in New Orleans.

The Suns started again with an early lead, leading by 15 points but they couldn't stop the flurry of three pointers made by Stojakovic and Marcus Thorton. At the end of regulation Jason Richardson missed a half court shot who could have won the game.

Channing Frye led the Suns with a game high 20 points from the bench. Steve Nash scored just 4 points but dished 11 assists. The Hornets were led by James Posey's 15. Chris Paul scored 13 points with 11 assists.

FREE THROWS

• Andris Biedrins, who scored 22 points in each of the past two games, scored just 6
• Nash missed a double double for the first time this season
• Mike Miller scored 19 points from the bench
• The Suns starting 5 were very erratic in both sides, specially at offense, the leading scorer was Robin Lopez with 12

NASH'S HUGE DOUBLE-DOUBLE GIVES THE SUNS THEIR FIRST VICTORY IN HAWAII

Image

The Beach Boys needed to wait until the final buzzer to breath alive as the short-handed Cavaliers fell short with their late wild run as the Suns prevailed 101-99. Andris Biedrins is showing that he can be an offensive threath with a game high 26 points in 13-16 from the field. He is having those big numbers due to Steve Nash stellar play. He was the MVP of the game with a huge double-double with 21 points and 19 assists and sinking the final 6 free throws to ice the game.

Jamario Moon led the Cavs with 23 points, most of them in the frantic 4th quarter. He shot 11-13 from the field and most of them were monster dunks. The trio of Mo Williams, Jamison and Delonte West (recently signed), scored 58 points, 13 assists and 12 rebounds but were not enough.

The Suns are back at .500 and they won their first game in Hawaii

FREE THROWS

• Channing Frye scored 12 points from the bench
• Robin Lopez scored 18 points in 9-9 from the field. He also had 4 blocks
• The Suns had 35 assists in the game
• Phoenix is having troubles with 1 on 1 penetrations. Jared Dudley, the Suns best defender is starting to play solid minutes in the final quarter

SUNS OVERCAME ROY'S 39 TO BEAT THE BLAZERS IN PORTLAND

Image

Nash is showing that age is just a number, because with 21 points and 18 assists led the Phoenix Suns to victory against the Trail Blazers. Nash shot 8-14 from the field with 5-8 from deep. Andris Biedrins had a solid game, 20 points, 9 rebounds and 6 assists, most of them for feeding Robin Lopez who finished with 17.

For the Blazers, Brandon Roy scored a game high 39 points and was almost unstoppable shooting a monster 18-26 from the field. But he played almost alone because the second leading scorer of the team was Nicholas Batum with 12. The other Blazer to score in double figures was Andre Miller with 10, he also had 10 assists.

FREE THROWS

• Channing Frye finished with 19 points off the bench
• Adam Morrison scored 7 points, he is gaining ground in the rotation
• Mike Miller went scoreless in 11 minutes
• Brandon Roy torched the Suns, showing that there are problems in 1 on 1 defense

BIEDRINS' HUGE IN RETURN TO GOLDEN STATE

Image

Andris Biedrins returned to Golden State were he spent seven seasons after being drafted and he showed what they lost. He had 22 points, 5 rebounds and 7 assists in the easy victory 117-100 against the Warriors.

Both teams traded pieces before the start of the season, sending Hedo Turkoglu to GS in exchange for Andris Biedrins. This was a waited matchup because the Suns traded his top summer signing without playing a single game. The Latvian had a awesome game, while the Turkish had only 11 points and 5 assists while shooting 33% from the field (4-12 FG)

Nash was the catalyst (again) of the game, he finished with 17 points and a game high 21 assists. He was followed by super sub Channing Frye who scored 21 points.

Monta Ellis had a game high 39 points with 11 assists, but comitted 6 turnovers. Stephen Curry scored 20 points with 9 assists.

FREE THROWS

• Nash is averaging more than 15 assists this season, a career high.
• Biedrins is right now the Suns leading scorer.
• Frye is happy being the 6th man.
• Mike Miller had 11 points after being scoreless against Portland.
• The Suns still have troubles guarding the opposite superstar.
• Adam Morrison had 6 points in 6 minutes.

VINCE CARTER SLAPS THE BEACH BOYS AT HOME

Image

The Magic put on evidence the Suns' struggling defense with a 117-96 blowout in Hawaii.

Vince Carter was unstoppable with 38 points, most of them from jumpshots, while frenchman Mickael Pietrus scored 21 to make the difference in the game. The Suns defended very well Howard (12 points, 9 rebounds) but they struggled again defending the guards.
Steve Nash was held to just 7 points, but dished 19 assists. Andris Biedrins scored a team high 26 points and Robin Lopez had 18.

FREE THROWS

• The Suns struggled again against perimeter players
• Channing Frye scored just 6 points off the bench
• Adam Morrison had 12 points, most of them in garbage time

THE SUNS PART WAYS WITH GRANT HILL

The Phoenix Suns announced today that they have traded Grant Hill to Sacramento in exchange for 2 second round pick. Also the Suns sent his 2010 2nd rounder to Sacramento.

The annonce was made today after some days of speculation. The Suns had a logjam at the Forward position, having Hill, Jared Dudley and Mike Miller for most of the minutes and the three were unhappy with their minutes. Also with the surprisingly good play by Adam Morrison, somebody had to go.

Dudley is the best perimeter defender from the Suns and he weas playing most of the 4th quarter minutes. Miller is shooting almost 50% from downtown. And Grant Hill wasn't shootin very well this year and he was overmatched by younger forwards like Brandon Roy and Vince Carter, who torched the Suns defense with 38 points each one.
Also, He asked for a new contract at the beginning of the season and the Suns were willing to do that. But in recent days there was a rumour around that Hill will hang up the sneakers at the end of the season. So the Suns traded him away.

The Kings recieve a solid player who can contribute in and off the court. He's a great mentor and a great locker room presence. He arrives to a Sacramento team (2-10) who is having terrible chemistry problems. Let's see what happens.

The Suns lose him more in the locker room, because in the court his minutes can be well replaces. Mike Miller will take the starting spot while Jared Dudley and "Dynamite" Adam Morrison will backup him.

In another move today. The Phoenix Suns signed Chinese Point Guard Sun Yue to 1 year contract. He will be the team's third point guard. He will wear #10

Thierry. wrote:Ah, don't like the move. Two 2nd round picks? Hill is one of my favs. :(

Me too.. I didn't want to move any of the 3 (Hill, Dudley, Miller) but with Morrison rockin' I have to move one of them because i had 6 players for the SG and SF positions

Dudley: Best defender Moral: 72
MIller: Great shooter Moral: 50 (due to be in the bench)
Hill: Good defender and good shooter, but he was fading down Moral: 72
Morrison: Growing a lot: Morale 100 (he's happy, I put him as a promise)
Clark: Can develope Morale: 70, he's not playing too much
J. Richardson: The starting SG, not tradeable: Morale 80
Even Warrick can play the Small forward! Great logjam!

Dudley, Miller and Clark were unhappy due to playing time.. So I had to choose one for trade. He lose 1 point in overall, he is 38 and if I traded for a good player I would have the same problem because right now everybody is getting happier due to playing time. I tried to get a 1st rounder but nobody offered one, so I picked Sacramento picks because they will be a 30-35

I hope this can create a better chemistry, right now it's on 48%
