Just played against Memphis myself, they are one tough team to beat, good job. (Y)

It was, and I had a lot of fun playing it. When Mike Miller and Nick Young are hot, they can't miss from downtown. That wasn't the case in this game, but thankfully enough we were able to fight through our poor three-point shooting. Thanks for checking in TheDee. (Y)

Thierry. wrote:Great game by Blatche. Hope you can get him a triple-double soon

I'm hoping that I can develop him into the go-to big man for the future of this franchise. Cariter Martin doesn't see much playing time, so Andray shouldn't have any trouble with getting his triple-double.

Clutch wrote:looking great so far man... hope this Agent Zero keeps outta trouble ;)

Thanks Clutch. (Y) Virtual Gilbert Arenas is a pretty good person, so he shouldn't have any issues on or off of the court. :D

Nice win !

James Singleton playing some solid defense for you and good scoring from Gil and Blatche.

Yeah Blatche has the skills to develop into a big time player in this league !

Nice update love the presentation.

Thanks mp3. (Y) Four blocks is always a great addition from a role player, and like I said, Gilbert and Andray are definitely a tandem to be reckoned with.

And a poor shooting night was the last thing I expected from him. I was absolutely killing it with him online the other day (since Arenas still isn't available to use), and had his release down perfectly. I have no idea what changed in this game though.

- James, Former Playoff Rival Cavaliers Outlast Wizards At The Q

    Image

WASHINGTON (AP) -- The Cleveland Cavaliers have high expectations for this season, and for obvious reasons. With the additions of Shaquille O'Neal, Antawn Jamison, Anthony Parker, and Jamario Moon, anything short of a championship run would be a huge disappointment for this team. They came out with the right mindset against this Wizards team, and never looked back after a solid second quarter, outscoring Washington by 10. A series of runs from the Wizards only served as a tease for their fans at home, as they were defeated by the Cavs, 99-90. Former Wizard Antawn Jamison had an off-night, scoring just 5 points on 2-8 shooting for Cleveland. Gilbert Arenas also struggled, but for Washington instead. He had 9 points, shooting 3-11 from the field, and dished 8 assists in a losing effort. Shaq posted 8 points and grabbed 14 rebounds in his Cavalier debut. The Wiz will travel to New Jersey next to take on a young Nets squad led by Devin Harris. They will be coming into that matchup fresh off of a unexpected 15-point win against the Portland Trail Blazers.

I would've liked to have got him a few more touches, but I really wasn't feeling it with him after how poorly he played in the first half. Miller was playing well, so I just decided to feed the hot hand. Thanks for checking in as always dude. (Y)

That's a pretty good comparison right there, but this was our was only our first loss. Blatche was a dominant force in the paint as usual, and I was also satisfied with Mike's shooting. It's a shame that we couldn't pull out the win though.

Thanks again Clutch. (Y) And yes, that would happen to be Mike Miller with his feet glued to the floor. :D Gilbert's right next to LeBron though, and even he can't do anything. It looks like he's trying to pull his shorts down.

Man, odd to read 'Shaq posted 8 points and grabbed 14 rebounds in his Cavalier debut', when his time in Cleveland is over. :D

There's always the possibility of him returning next year, even though that's highly unlikely at this point in time. This first season should go by pretty quickly either way.

- Yi Shines In Nets' Surprise Rout Of Wizards At The Meadowlands

    Image

WASHINGTON (AP) -- Devin Harris was an Eastern Conference All-Star last season, while Brook Lopez was named to the All-Rookie first team. That's pretty much all the New Jersey Nets had going for them coming into this season. They started off by playing host to the Portland Trail Blazers, and crushed them in that affair. The final score was 97-82. A .500 Washington Wizards squad showed struggles at the Izod Center against these young Nets also. New Jersey was able to take control right from the start. In a battle of sophomore centers, both Lopez and JaVale McGee posted 12 points. McGee outrebounded Brook though, snatching 11 boards compared to Lopez's 8. Swingmen Mike Miller, Courtney Lee, and Terrance Williams scored 11 points each for their respective ball clubs. It will be homeward bound for the Wiz next, as they will wait in anticipation for the arrival of the NBA's only Canadian team. After acquiring free agent Hedo Turkoglu, the Toronto Raptors are not on the right track at all. They are 0-3 in the early stages of the 2009-2010 NBA season.

Thanks for the feedback guys. (Y) Yi really surprised me too. He never seems to show his true potential, whether it's in real life or video game form. I played the next game against Toronto, and can tell you that Gilbert played much better. The team on the other hand, not so much. Well at least not as bad as in this loss.

I know man. In every association that I've had in 2K10 they've always been somewhere in the top five teams in the East, and yet the Celtics and Magic have always struggled to just get a playoff spot. Two more recaps (Toronto and Philadelphia) to finish off November and then I'll post an Around The Association update for the month which will include more of the strange happenings in the league.

Not so much. More along the lines of Corey Maggette being the NBA's leading scorer and his Warriors being undefeated at the time.

It was indeed. I'll be posting the recap for our game against Toronto tomorrow, so be sure to check back then. :)

- Wizards Take Third Consecutive Loss At Hands Of Bosh, Raptors

    Image

WASHINGTON (AP) -- The Toronto Raptors are a dismal 0-3. Disappointing, right? They opened their season by losing a nail-biter to the Portland Trail Blazers at home by 5 points. After that they traveled to California, but only to fall short against the Sacramento Kings by 2 points. Being extremely discouraged after those two losses, they were then blown out by 24 points in their return home by the Oklahoma City Thunder. Enter the 1-2 Washington Wizards. After trailing by 15 points at the end of the first quarter, Washington kicked it into overdrive and outscored Toronto by 15 points in the second quarter. That would make a fresh game at halftime. The Raptors were able to take advantage of a poor third quarter for the Wizards, leading to another Washington loss. Randy Foye had his first double-digit scoring night as a Wizard in the loss, adding 10 points off of the bench. Rookie DeMar DeRozan poured in 15 points in 29 minutes of play for Toronto, while newcomer Hedo Turkoglu scored 14 points and dished 6 assists for his new ball club. It will be off to the City of Brotherly Love for the Wiz next, as they will prepare to take on the Philadelphia 76ers led by the two A.I.'s.
