Week 1 - Oct. 27 - Oct. 31

Before my very first game, I was nervous. Very nervous inside the locker room. Being undrafted, played for National team, summer league, training camp, at last I'm in the big league. I will wear the #12 jersey, same number I wore when I’m on highschool with LeBron. We will play our season opener at home versus the Boston Celtics. My heart beats faster. I didn't expect this feeling all along. When that clock start ticking I will play with the court with these some great guys, now I will sit on the Cavs' bench, get some minutes, I will hear cheers from the audience, ahh, my dream is already here and I must work, believe, and play hard for this team.

"So team, first game of the season, we must get this game and keep winning 'till the end. We all guys are hungry for that trophy. Bring it all on for now, start the season great!" Brown told to his boys. "1, 2, 3, TEAM! 4, 5, 6, WORK HARD! And the 09-10 Cleveland Cavaliers team walk on their way to the court. "From Akron, Ohio, listed 6'0' feet, pointguard, rookie, Dru Joyce!" the announcer enthusiastically introduced Shorty to the fans. Some are clapping and cheering, you can heard some boo’s too, laughs, but that criticisms help Dru to heat up. “So bro, your on your first game of your life. Show to all what you’ve got in there and proved they are wrong what they are thinking of you.” LeBron said to Dru. “Oh yeah, I’m here to showcase my talent and exclude those haters out there, I’m here to help this team to the crown” Dru said with authority.

After the 4 games…
Dru Joyce #12 here from the Cavaliers team:D Our team ended the first week by 2-2 record. We grabbed our first win against the Celtics with the score 98-94 but later then loss to Raptors by Turkoglu’s buzzer-beater, for those two games by myself I can say that it was a good performance by me especially on Raptors. We’re on the road again versus Timberwolves and we’ve just got beatan by a scrub team, Big Al lead the Minny with the narrow win over us, after that surprisingly loss, we bounced back and defeat Bobcats with 89-82 score. I’ve been distributing the ball very well, because guys like Shaq, Jamison, Z in backcourt can convert it easily on pick and rolls situation. Here are the game summary of the first week, hope you still guys keep watching and supporting me!

October 27 - The Cavaliers opened their season with a narrow win. LeBron James posted amazing numbers to crush Celtics. LeBron noted 34 points, 6 rebounds, 7 assists and a couple of blocks. The Cavs went hot in third quarter outscoring Celtics 36-14, Celtics try to comeback in the fourth quarter with Pierce and Garnett scored 19 both. Tony Allen surprised everyone by scoring 14 points on 6-6 shooting. Rookie sensation Dru Joyce proved everyone that he can really play with statline of 6 points, 2 rebounds, 6 assists, and 3 steals.

October 28 - This game was the game to remember for Dru Joyce despite the loss. Shorty came up with the game-high 24 points, 2 steals and 2 assists, he send the game to Overtime because of a suprising fastbreak dunk. No one thinked, this guy can hop and reach the rim. Chris Bosh didn't play in that game because of an injury, but eventually the Raptors won the game by a winning three by turkish Hedo Turkoglu. Hedo knocked a three pointer to win the game 104-103. "I'm surprised it went it. They doubled team Bargnani and no choice he passed it to me." Turkoglu stated. LeBron still posted MVP numbers with 20 points, 6 rebounds, 7 assists and 3 steals. Cavs will be on their final road trip against Minnesota Timberwolves next game.
Player of the Game:Andrea Bargnani - 16 points, 11 rebounds, 2 assists

October 30 - Consecutive loss came to Cavs and it doesn't feel good lossing against a scrub team. Cavs loss their road trip against the Timberwolves. Al Jefferson led the Wolves with his double-double 17 points and 12 rebounds. Wolves somehow overcome LeBron's 32, 7, 6 numbers. Dru shorty put 8 points, 8 assists, and 3 rebounds, a little shy of double-double. "I think everything had gone right and nothing is wrong, we just can't finished it up." Brown said. Another rookie Johnny Flynn make 15 points, 8 assists, but 4-11 shooting. Cavs will try to bounce back from these two losses when they will face Charlotte Bobcats.

October 31 - Cavaliers is back at their homestand and win the game against the tough Charlotte Bobcats. LeBron lead the way with 31 points, 8 boards, 6 assists and 2 steals. His partner rookie Dru Joyce came off the bench with 15 points, 4 assists and 2 steals. "I'm really happy Dru is playing very well right now. I can see the effect of having him here in the team. He can pass and seeing the floor very well. And note, he's just coming off the bench but is really contributing. On the opposing team, Jackson and Wallace perform well, with 22 and 13 points respectively. Boris Diaw played well with 16 points and 4 rebounds, however, he got injured in the third quarter with a collision after being posterized by Shaq. Cavs is neutral this week and 12th in the power rankings, they are hoping they can bounce back from the disappointing losses and keep on winning.
Player of the Game:LeBron James - 31 points, 8 rebounds, 6 assists, 2 steals, 2 blocks

A very strange week for you guys. You lost to two teams that you should've beaten, and won against two teams that you should've lost to (the Cavs were swept by the Bobcats this season if I remember correctly). A great outing for Dru at Toronto though, despite the loss. (Y)

Very nice recapping style and some nice games for you also, though just 2-2 with losses to the Wolves and the Raps aren't very Cavaliers-ish.

Yeah, that buzzerbeater against Toronto really pissed me off and also the loss versus the scrub Wolves, well I hope we can bounce back in the next outings :D

Week 2 - Nov. 1 - Nov. 7

2-1 this week. The Cavaliers somehow found their true form. After some disappointing loss on the first week, the Cavaliers seem so frustrated and bounce back. "We're not that Cavs team in the first week. Everything worked wrong. We loss games, we win but a narrow win. We want to crush every team in the league." coach Brown said. This week, has been the week for the rookie from Akron, Dru Joyce. He had been sensational racking up points. He is 20+ plus points in the three games, and he's averaging for almost 5.8 assists per game. Despite coming off the bench, he is really been effective since start, he's now playing 16 minutes per game and showing that he wants that starting spot. "I want to be starter, for real. As you can see, my stat are more attractive than Mo. Well I'm not being arrogant, I'm just telling the truth, if coach give me that chance, I'm sure he will not be disappointed." Shorty said.

After grabbing the win versus Bobcats, Cavaliers is still on the road and visited the Washington Wizards at the Verizon Center. Surprisingly Wizards beat Cavs 97-88. By this loss, Cavs just keep on reforming and finally grabbed a win against the Division rival Chicago Bulls, they won by just 1 point but it helps them to motivate them and crush New York Knicks on the MSG. We can say today that the Cavs is been the real Cavs now. Hoping they can start the next week strong and end it also strong.

FINAL SCORE
CLE(2-2) | 12 | 28 | 24 | 24 | 88
WAS(1-2) | 24 | 30 | 22 | 21 | 97

November 3 - Cavaliers loss again. Seems the team is lossing on some not-so-tough teams this past few weeks. Josh Howard lead the Wizards by a season-high 30 points in 14-17 shooting. When Brown subbed in Dru Joyce as a shooting guard, Howard abused it, he killed Joyce in the post. He's just keep posting under the basket and using the height advantage. "Haha, that kid is sure short, he's on my waist. But honestly, he can really play basketball, I'm way surprised in his performance." Howard replied to the media. Dru's 20 point, 8 assists and 2 steals didn't come up a win, but showed he's still a rookie but can be best someday. Cavs will be back in the Quicken Loans Arena next game.
Player of the Game:Josh Howard - 30 points, 4 rebounds, 2 steals, 14-17 shooting.

FINAL SCORE
CHI(1-3) | 28 | 22 | 17 | 24 | 91
CLE(2-3) | 25 | 23 | 30 | 14 | 92

November 5 - Dru Joyce keep on impressing everyone. Especially in his performance against Chicago Bulls, he racked up 22 points, 7 assists and 3 steals. He's been playing serious basketball from the start, and showing he can be a starter. The Cavaliers dismantle the Bulls in the third quarter by 30-17 with the help of LeBron James. He ended up with 28 points, 11 rebounds and 7 assists. He's really a partner to Dru Joyce. The Akron Duo, the writers named them. The pick and roll play for this two is really killing the other team, they just can't stop James or Joyce. Somehow Derrick Rose still posted amazing numbers, 19 points, 12 assists and including 2 steals. The second leading scorer for the Bulls is Joakim Noah who had 15 points, 7 rebounds with 6-7 shooting that night.
Player of the Game:LeBron James - 28 points, 11 rebounds, 7 assists, 2 steals

FINAL SCORE
CLE(3-3) | 30 | 28 | 16 | 21 | 95
NY(0-5) | 20 | 19 | 23 | 26 | 88

November 6 - Incredible game again by Dru Joyce. The Cavaliers defeat the winless Knicks on their bout in MSG. Joyce posted 20 points, 4 dimes and a steal. Joyce grabbed his first Player of the Game award of his NBA career that game. Joyce is just on fire this last three games, he's averaging 19.7 games in the last three games, and he's just coming off the bench. "That guy is amazing, wondering why he became undrafted. He's keep on running and shooting. He is really an X-factor for the Cavs, I will be not surprised if someday Joyce will replace Williams in the starter." Mike D'Antoni comment about Joyce. The game should be crushing but McGrady somehow tried to cut the Cavs lead with his 3 consecutive three pointers midway in the third quarter. He notched 17 points that night. While Knicks bigman David Lee came up with 14 points and 9 rebounds. LeBron is pretty quiet with 9 points but having 11 rebounds and 10 assists, a very near triple double. Mo Williams also contributed with 20 points and 2 assists, showing he is really the starter.
Player of the Game:Dru Joyce - 20 points, 4 assists, 1 rebound, 1 steal

Couldn't be wrong that the Cleveland Cavaliers already found their true form. After slowing start, Cavs finished their first month with 12-5 record, leading Division and the Eastern Conference. This month has really been an efficient for them. The Cavs got a 9 game winning streak for the 2-3 weeks of this season. They keep crushing teams by the aid of superstar LeBron James and this amazing rookie kid Dru Joyce from Akron too. This duo at this time is the most dangerous tandem around the league. They just killing all their opponents by their quick, powerful, dominating pick and roll play. Dru being a great passer and LeBron being a great finisher. Before getting into the Cavs roster, Joyce was criticized as 'kid who can't play balls' but Shorty proved it all wrong. By just coming off the bench, he is averaging double digits in scoring. After playing 9 games, Dru Joyce replaced Mo Williams in point. "Dunno what the fuck is Brown thinking. He's just a rookie, played 10 games, so what? I'm a veteran point, and I'm way better than him." Williams angrily stated who was fined after that statement. Every night, he's pouring almost 20 points, and the game against Mavericks, he's just way too incredible. He notched up 46 points on 19/38 shooting. Everyone was on awe that game, but that amazing performance came up with a loss. "I gave all I can, but sadly, we've lacked." Dru tell after the game. Nothing is wrong with the Cleveland Cavaliers now, we can say that they have pictured themselves in Playoffs, but it's too early, so keep on following.

First month of the season is done, and the Cleveland Cavaliers showed promising wins and off to a hot run. Leading the Conference and being the Division leader, nothing can stop the Cavs on journey to the Finals, taking themselves as a regular season team past years, doubtly can this team continue to run through Playoffs and get that sought crown? Now, Cavaliers is being helped by this sensational, explosive, and skilled rookie from Akron, Dru Joyce. This kid comes out of nowhere being undrafted and showing now, how the teams missed him. He's posting amazing numbers and scoring at ease. He just replaced starter point, Mo Williams in the roster that caused many fans hated about. "He's still a kid, just a kid." said by one disappointed fan. But seeing his performances this month, this kid is notable, really notable. He's being so efficient and helping the team to get the W's. Posting almost 20 points and 7 dimes per game, this kid is really unbelievable. Now here's the statline for Dru Joyce for the month of November, and he's exciting to watch for the next months.

Dru Joyce' Performance of the Month

Image

Maybe one for the records? A game against Dallas Mavericks, Dru Joyce posted 46 points, 5 assists, 2 rebounds, perfect from charity stripe and shooting 41.2 from 3pt. But sadly, this performance was wasted because of the loss. The fans were on awe after this game by the rookie. He's keep on scoring and scoring. Leaving buddy LeBron James who just made 15 points. Dru Joyce attacked the Mavs the whole quarter, shooting threes. Dru nearly tied his highschool career high by making 6 three pointers. So here's a kid, again from Akron just like the superstar. Let's wait if this performance got consistent and keep on showing his true skills.
