SEATTLE (Ticker) Oct. 29 -- At this rate, Russell Westbrook can take all the time he needs to get healthy. The Seattle Supersonics handed Milwaukee one of the worst losses in their history Wednesday night, routing the Bucks 129-91 behind 35 points from rookie James Harden, in his first NBA game. Westbrook strained a muscle in his left knee that sidelined him for playing the fourth quarter. News to follow if the injury is minor or he will out of action for more time. Westbrook was able to contribute with 20 points in 27 minutes, before a collision with Bucks' Luc Mbah a Moute. Kevin Durant added 25 points for the Sonics, who raced to a 53-33 halftime lead. “I think it looked that a championship team (that) wanted to kick somebody's butt,” Bucks coach Scott Skiles said. The Sonics were certainly motivated as they lost three straight overall against the Bucks.

“It's tough to really try to make a connection because from then to now, both teams are playing totally different basketball. We were focused on what we needed to do because we're a different team now with Russell out in the last period,” Harden said. “Coach gave a great motivational speech. He told us they bullied us last time. He saw the game on TV.” And this night, the bullies got bullied. Harden shot an outstanding, almost perfect, 14-of-15 from the floor. “We just wanted to play great defense, and that's what we did,” coach Thierry Tirieux said. “We felt they were far more physical than us when they played us last time. Our point of emphasis was to come out and battle tonight. This was going to be a nasty, battle game and we were going to have to be ready for it.” But 38 points? On season opener?

Michael Redd had 26 points and Luke Ridnour 18 for the Bucks, who lost for the second time in as many nights. “It's a tough patch right now, it really is,” Bucks center Andrew Bogut said. The Sonics overpowered Milwaukee from start to finish, never letting up until the final seconds when they bypassed an easy bucket to run out the clock. Reserve Nick Collison added 10 points for Seattle, which led 92-54 heading into the fourth quarter, as 6 players scored in double figures: Harden, Durant, Westbrook, Collison, Jeff Green (13) and Nenad Krstic (12). “We lost. Ain't really that much you can say about that,” Mbah a Moute (10 pts.) said. “They came in and made shots, played well. We can make a lot of excuses. There are a lot of things that can play into it, but we lost tonight. We'll take it on our chin and get ready for next match.” The Sonics limited Milwaukee to a 39% percent shooting from the floor, while they shot a superb 63%, including 7 of 15 3-pointers, 30 assists and 15 second chance points (against Bucks' 0).

Sonics should've stayed "Sonics" so good luck to you (Y)

I had a Spurs dynasty with 2k9 and didn't work out really well, so don't worry.

I didn't. I crushed them  Well, the CPU did, I'm simulating all games with this one.

[1-0] Preview @ HOU

Image Houston (1-1) hope to get back on track; host Image Seattle (1-0)

SEATTLE (Ticker) Oct. 29 -- The host Houston Rockets will have a good chance to get back on track tonight as they try for an 11th straight win over Seattle, amid a promising start. One night after the Rockets defeated Memphis 104-96 at the Toyota Center, they got beat by the Mavericks, 100-117. “We're trying to find out who we are,” Rockets coach Rick Adelman said. “We're trying to find out how we're going to win. To come back and have a great third quarter, hopefully our team learned a lot, but unfortunately we lost.” Yao Ming had two team-highs with 21 points against the Grizzlies, and a 24-point effort in the loss to Dallas. “The biggest thing is to let go,” Ming said. “We all miss shots, you've got to forget about it.” Tracy McGrady, 15 points against Memphis and 20 against the Mavs, added: “We felt we had control but it was one of those games where we were playing their pace and we just couldn't seem to separate. They made the plays down the stretch that they needed to get the win.” Last season, the Rockets (53-29) beat the Portland Trail Blazers in six games before losing a seven-game conference semifinal series to the eventual champion Los Angeles Lakers. Yao was injured in Game 3, and the Rockets posted two blowout home wins without him to extend the series to a decisive game.

Houston made some major moves to shore up its roster after Ron Artest left to join the Lakers. The Rockets signed Trevor Ariza away from the Lakers and he is expected to pick up the slack for when McGrady doesn't play. “I can't even explain how excited I am to have an opportunity to expand my game,” Ariza said. “That's what every player really wants.” To partially replace Yao's production in the paint (he's suffering some pains in his foot), Houston will count on a pair of foreign big men in Luis Scola and David Andersen. Scola (from Argentina) averaged 12.7 points and 8.8 boards last season for the Rockets while the slender, 6-11 Andersen (Australia) was signed in August after a career spent mostly in Europe, including three Euroleague championships between 2001-08. The Rockets are also counting on getting more from Aaron Brooks, who emerged to average 21.8 points in the games against the Lakers without Yao. “Aaron has an opportunity,” Adelman said. “In the playoffs, he had big games and you want to see where his growth continues. It can't be one game here, one game there. It's got to be consistent, over the course of the season, every game.”

Seattle doesn't have any question about who its top scorer is, with former Rookie of the Year Kevin Durant leading the way. The Sonics cruised to a 129-91 season-opening blowout victory over Milwaukee, after building a 27-19 lead after one quarter and 53-33 at the half. “That's one of the best 24 minutes we've ever had,” Durant said. “Guys did a great job of making shots - which is rare when everybody makes shots - but we did a great job on the other end of limiting backdoor cuts, which get them going as a team.” Durant, rookie James Harden and sophomore Russell Westbrook all contributed in the win. Durant posted 25 points and 7 boards, Harden had an incredible 14-of-15 shooting, for a game-high 35 points and Westbrook added 20 points in 8-of-9 from the floor. The Sonics fired coach Scott Brooks and gave French coach Thierry Tirieux his first NBA head coaching job, and so far is working like a charm.

“We're in a situation where we have three guys that are legitimate scorers in this league. To put the questions to rest...” Tirieux said, “...we just have to go out and play basketball and know those three players are going to do that. They stepped up big for us, but that's what we are going to need from them throughout the season for us to be the team we want to be.” Michael Redd led Milwaukee with 26 points and point guard Luke Ridnour added 18. The Sonics will feature the same lineup that defeated the Bucks against the Rockets tonight.

Thanks man. I was surprised as well :)

Guess I will just focus on the Blazers. I will try to update this one every now and then, I'm not seeing much replies. :(
