Could've built a nice team around both of them, especially the euro as Bailey is quite a chucker at times and can't play defense, a lot like Ben Gordon in the early stages of his career.

Thanks for the opinion, see above for the reason why I decided to pass on Bailey. ;)

Yeah, I could of had a great scorer on the team, but I'll pick the team first. ;D

Yeah, that's my favourite out of the bunch aswell. Appreciate it.

Thanks for the comments everyone, stay tuned for further updates, free agency coming up soon and the Wolves have got tons of cap space available!

Clutch,

Not a typo, the two are completely different players from different parts of the world. The 11th pick is Rumeal Bart, if I remember correctly he was actually from Sweden. So not a typo, not brothers or related in any other way like this, just a coincidence, 4th pick - Rolf Bart, 11th pick - Rumeal Bart.

JONAH JACKMAN TO SIGN WITH ADIDAS

It was reported this morning, a day after Jackman was selected first overall by the Minnesota Timberwolves, that he'll sign a deal to represent the Three Stripes, just like the best player in the Timberwolves history, Kevin Garnett did.

"I'm excited to work with Adidas. My agent, Henry Thomas, is doing a terrific job working out a deal with Adidas and I'm thankful for that." told Jackman to the Dime Magazine in Chicago, where Jackman is reported to be working out. When asked about Kevin Garnett, "No, not really.. We didn't go with Adidas, because KG is with them and happened to be with the same team that I am with now. That's nothing, but a coincidence."

It's not reported yet, whether or not Jackman will get a signature sneaker eventually, but some unofficial sources say that it will happen and the first signature shoe for Jackman should be done before the beginning of Jackman's rookie season, the 2010-2011 season.

ALL ACCESS: I'M USUAL..

Gray's at his hotel room in Minnesota, tossing his clothes and sneakers to the sportsbag. He pushes himself up from the bed, but as he brings the sportsbag over the top of his head to put it around his body, he hits his hands to the ceiling of the room. Gray looked up at the ceiling briefly with a thoughtful face and sighed quickly. He turned the lights off and slided his feet into the size 23, white high top Reeboks. As he left his hotel room, his phone started ringing, an unknown number. "Yo, Cothran, what's up?" asked a rather strange voice. Gray got really curious, "Hi, um.. Who is it?" he asked. "Yo, man, the fuck!? Ya' ain't remember me!? It's Slim, fuck.. From highschool.. Anyway, thought maybe ya got me a couple bucks to lend, I'm really struggling right now, I need these new Hyperdunks, man." Instead of answering, Gray quickly turned his phone off, muttering something to himself quietly, "Godda' change my number, I guess..".

After a short drive to the gym, he quickly changed his clothes, put on the new Nike shorts, a tanktop and a pair of Hyperdunks, just what Slim from highschool wanted, the one who Gray never got along with. As he walked towards the gym from the wardrobe, he repeated himself some words, "Am good, will be better.. Hard work equals greatness.." He then did a couple hops to get himself even more motivated, even clapped twice as he finally entered the empty gym of a local school. He buckled down briefly as he entered the gym through the doorway, "Time to get started, yeah.." He went over to the ball rack and took one to throw up a couple shots before the warmup exercises and then the workout session.

Two hours past, only him in the gym. The sound of the ball bouncing and sneakers squeaking along the basketball floor echoed right back to Gray's head. After finishing a short set, he leaned onto the wall, grabbed a hold of the tanktop and wiped his forehead of sweat, then looked up to the ceilings of the gym again, "Man, I love this.." and pushed himself off from the wall to continue with the workout. Gray's workout consisted mainly of rebounding and dribbling drills, which were considered to be two of the biggest weaknesses in his game. After another 30 minutes and a couple of sets, a young, male cleaner entered the gym with a broom and a bucket of cleaning water. Instead of starting to clean and tell Gray to leave, the broom dropped out of his hands just like his jaw dropped as he stared at Gray jumping with his head at the bottom of the backboard repeatedly. The cleaner went over to Gray quietly. At the time, Gray was leaning on the backboard with one hand, catching a breath briefly. The cleaner, about 5'6" young male, looked up at Gray, who was with his back to him. The cleaner tapped Gray on his hip once, after which Gray jumped around immediately, raising his hand as if he was about to swing it towards the cleaner. At the first glance, Gray saw none and was about to freak out, but then spotted the cleaner, who was still staring at Gray with a surprised face. "Holy fu-.. You scared the.. Damn it!" said Gray, palming his head for a bit as he turned around to get the ball again. The cleaner, meanwhile, was getting over his awe and took a couple tiny, quick steps towards Gray, staring up at him. "Whoa, who you playin' ball for? You know Al Jeff? You in the NBA, man? Oh man, I've got such a card collection.. Oh, dude, my brother can dunk the ball! You huge man.. You in the NBA!?" Gray shook his head in disbelief and turned around, looking down at the tiny cleaner, without knowing him or why he was there. "Yeah, that's great my friend.. Leave me be.." he said, turning his back to the cleaner once again. "Oh man, show me how you dunk, c'mon man.. I've got six bucks, you dunk, that's yours! Oh man, my brother ain't gonna' believe this, HA! Oh, how tall are you, man!? I'm 5 foot 6, I can jump the net, ha!" Gray turned around slowly again, sighing with a serious, annoyed face, "I said, LEAVE.. ME.. BE! Damn it.. I'm usual.." The cleaner shrugged him off, "Yeah, I guess you are... Pussy..." and ran away, but stopped at the doorway, noticing that Gray didn't even pay attention. "Okay, man.. Listen up, I've got to clean it up and if you don't leave the gym soon.." he said. Gray turned around to face him again, nodding politely as he walked off the court towards the wardrobes.

BRANDON ROY, RAY ALLEN AND A FEW MORE TO TRY FREE AGENCY

Portland (AP) - Sources say that the Trailblazers superstar, Brandon Roy will be on the free agency market. The superstar had not been happy with the contract offer he had recieved from the Portland Trailblazers. The Trailblazers succesfully resigned two of their pieces, LaMarcus Aldridge and Travis Outlaw

"I'll try it out," told Brandon Roy to the Portland Tribune. "I'll see what the other teams have to offer me, what pieces they have, how likely it is that the certain team will go far in the playoffs and everything like this. Last year in Portland, we didn't do nearly as good as we had hoped before the season begun, so.. Yeah, that's that. It's not guaranteed that I won't continue my career in Portland, but I'm weighing my options."

It is believed that Brandon Roy will be the most wanted Free Agent this offseason, but other great players such as Ray Allen, Allen Iverson, Raymond Felton have reported to either try the free agency, or have failed to agree to a deal that both sides are good with.

SHAQ ANNOUNCES RETIREMENT FROM NBA

Cleveland Cavaliers center, Shaquille O'Neal has announced his retirement from the NBA. O'Neal will go down as one of the most dominant players in the NBA history and is a lock for the Basketball Hall of Fame.

Shaquille O'Neal was the leading scorer and rebounder on the Cavaliers team last season, averaging 17.5 points and 9.5 rebounds, to go with 2.8 assists and 1.75 blocks. He lead the team in scoring mainly thanks to LeBron James' struggles, as 'King James' averaged only 14.2 points, 7.7 rebounds and 4.3 assists per competition.

"There won't be a player as big and dominant as me, ever." said Shaquille O'Neal in the press conference. "The league is soft, you can shoot mid range jumpers all you want, but without a big man like me dominating the paint, you can't win." After that comment, Shaq raised his right hand with the fingers spread and the 4 championship rings on.

Other notable players that have announced their retirements so far are Grant Hill, Rasheed Wallace, Marcus Camby and Derek Fisher. All of the four, and O'Neal have been valuable for many strong teams and have been through playoff runs.

AUSTRALIAN NATHAN JAWAI REMAINS A TIMBERWOLF

The Minnesota Timberwolves and Nathan Jawai have agreed to a 1 year, Minimum deal. Nathan Jawai was supposed to become an unrestricted free agent this offseason, but after a meeting with the Timberwolves management, a deal was worked out.

Nathan Jawai appeared in 50 games last season, averaging 2.4 points and 2.3 rebounds in 10 minutes per game. On the 17th of December in 2009 last season, Nathan scored a career high 29 points and grabbed 11 rebounds on 12-15 shooting to help carry the Timberwolves over Chris Paul and the New Orleans Hornets, for a 121-102 win. After the game, he shrugged off the performance, saying he did what he does best, help a team win.

Sources say that the Timberwolves are working on a deal with the 25 year old center Ryan Hollins, but are not looking to resign either, Damien Wilkins or Mark Blount.

Would be nice to attract Roy  The Wolves drafted him but traded him to the Blazers.

It's a shame that Shaq retires. Obviously a lock for HOF... also, Jawai is a good bench player.

Yeah, Roy would be a good addition, but so would be Ray Allen. RayRay could work off the ball a bit better than Roy probably, and I would love to have Jackman work with the ball a lot. But at the same time, Roy's much younger, long term, more versatile right now and can only get better, so I've definitely got many options.

Oh, and Thierry, Shaq is definitely a lock for HoF, surprised me when I saw he really led the Cavaliers last season. And yeah, Jawai could work well, not sure how much time he's going to get, but I mostly signed him because there are so many Aussies on this board, thought they could be attracted, haha.

Thanks ya'll, by the way.

NETS SIGN TWO BIG MEN AT ONCE

The New Jersey Nets have signed two unrestricted big men, Ben Wallace and Amir Johnson. In the middle of the last decade, Ben Wallace helped carry the Detroit Pistons to the championship and was a valuable member of the team that included star players such as Chauncey Billups, Richard Hamilton and Rasheed Wallace, who just announced his retirement from the league a couple days ago.

"I believe that Ben and Amir will be able to help the team," said Nets star Point Guard, Devin Harris. "Now we'll have three great big men in the paint in Wallace, Johnson and obviously Brook. Yeah, we'll definitely go far, no doubt."

"I'm going to carry on working hard," said Amir Johnson. "I've never gotten a good chance to shine in a system that works the best for me. I see the Nets being the team that I'll finally have my breakout season with."

It is believed that Ben Wallace will come off the bench for the Nets and the third year center, Brook Lopez will stay in the starting lineup, but it's not entirely sure yet. There's a possibility that both, Wallace and Lopez will start, one of them at the Power Forward position, the other as the Man in the Middle.

ALL ACCESS: Pick one..

6 PM at Glen Taylor's office.

"Listen, you have to be cool on that one," told Malik to the owner of the team, Glen Taylor. "If you want to see the team go far, we have to be willing to offer either Brandon Roy or Ray Allen a deal, something between ten to fifteen mil a year." Glen Taylor was rolling from one side to another on his chair, biting his lips thoughtfully. Malik kept trying to convince him, "Imagine that, if we offer either on-..", but Glen stopped him immediately. "Yeah, yeah, you've got the rights to sign a big name, go ahead, I won't stop you, Malik." he said, sighing. "Come on, Glen, crack up a bit, imagine that.. "Jackman brings the ball up the court, behind the back pass to B-Roy, touch pass to Al Jeff for the DUNK, HOLY .." .. Yeah, I see that coming everyday." said Malik, dreaming about a play between Jackman, Roy and Jefferson. Hearing that, Glen cracked a tiny smile on his face, "Hehe, yeah, you're right. Go get the biggest fish, Ray or Roy, whoever you want that to be."

    7:30 PM at Malik's home.

Malik was at his home, sitting behind a desk with some paperwork infront of him. His main goal was to have either one, Brandon Roy or Ray Allen work off the ball, just like Kevin Durant does a lot for the Oklahoma City Thunder and as Richard Hamilton has done for years. Obviously, both of them would have the ball in their hands at times, but the main ball handlers on the current roster would be point guards Johnny Flynn, Ramon Sessions and rookie Jonah Jackman. Johnny and Ramon can both score and get to the rack at will, both Roy and Allen can come off the screens and score easily with the best of them, Jackman can be an unbelieveble one on one scorer ala Melo, but can create for others aswell. Love and Gomes are not that big time scorers, but Gomes can be a good scorer off the bench. Love at the same time, would bring rebounding and a lot of banging in the paint, could set a lot of screens for the shooters and with him, a some type of a run and gun offense could be done as Love is already one of the best outlet passers in the league, some say even one of the best in the history of the NBA. And obviously, Al Jefferson can do what he does best, rebound, dominate the paint, score in the low post and be a beast as usual so far. Malik knew it all, looked up at the ceilings of the room as he sat back on his armchair, sighing. He had been up since 3 AM last night, looking at tapes the tapes of the players, checking over the scouting reports repeatedly, trying to come up with the best possible moves he could. With obviously the point guards, Brandon Roy, Jackman and Love on the floor at once, there would be 4 good passers on at once, the offense could work similar to how the Sacramento Kings worked at the beginning of the decade. Though, Johnny Flynn loves to score and break down the defense, but doesn't have to use the ball too much to be succesful, hence he wouldn't have to be the primary ball handler, bring the ball up the court, pass it to Roy or Jackman and the rest would work out well. Malik was really happy with what he could build on, but then suddenly thought about defense, letting out a deep sigh once again.

How would a lineup of, say - Flynn, Roy, Jackman, Love and Jefferson work out on the defensive end? Obviously, Jefferson is a solid post defender, Love not so much, actually, rather poor defender. Jackman isn't a great defender either, but he's an active one and wants to improve. Plus, he averaged 2.9 blocks in college, despite playing the 3 position. So, he might be able to use his blocking ability and speed to get around and help the frontline with some weakside blocks and such, which is something he can do good. Over to the guard position, you have Roy or Allen and Flynn and Sessions. Both Roy and Allen are solid man to man defenders, Allens losing it with the speed and might not be able to catch up with the quicker ones out there. Roy at the same time, is already pretty good defender and can only improve right now. So, he definitely has an edge on the defensive end. As Malik reached to Sessions and Flynn on his mind and at the same time grabbed a paper with some notes, he closed his eyes briefly, "Oh, god damnit.." he said. Neither of the two were too good defenders, especially as the point guard position is a very important one that has to be stopped. "How on earth are we going to stop the Pauls and Roses out there with a Flynn or.. Sessions!?" he asked himself loudly, pointing his fingers on the point guards' names written on the paper. Malik's wife walked into the room, "Who are you talking to, you?" she asked. "Oh, me? It's, um.. It's the new Jay-Z song." responded Malik, quickly pointing at the radio with his index finger. His wife nodded a couple times and turned around to go back to the kitchen. Malik looked back on the papers, trying to find the point where he was before, but failed. "Crazy.." he said, throwing the paper back ontop of the desk, sitting back on the comfortable, leathered armchair. As he closed his eyes, ready to drift out, his cellphone started ringing so loudly that Malik almost fell down from the chair. He shoved his hand deep into the pocket of his blue adidas trackpants, pulling out a cheap looking phone, quickly noticing a yellow "NEW MESSAGE" text blinking on the screen. He opened it and saw it saying, "Ray's turning 35 tomorrow, Roy is 9 years and 3 days younger. Pick one.."
