I have to make a correction about who the starting five was in the finals for Phoenix it was Bogut, Amare, Hill, Richardson and Nash with Ben wallace, leandro barbosa, matt barnes coming off the bench. Beating the hawks 4 games to 2. Will Phoenix repeat who knows. Not if any of the other western teams have anything to say about it. Also some eastern teams will be thinking over my dead body Phoenix will you repeat. i won't tell you who but Cleveland signed a free agent you will find out about later who could help them at the 4. Memphis is trying to get to the playoffs and later you will find out that they signed a veteran and a younger point guard. Boston is looking to add to there bench with some of the free agent signing they done. Orlando is looking to add some more depth to there bench. Stay tuned to find out more about the up and coming free agent signings.

I can see you've put a lot of effort into it. But the recaps could use some organizing. The draft recap looks good.

There are your free agent signings. I'd like to hear your opinions about these teams here are my views broken down by each team
Boston: Daniel Gibson and Jarvis Hayes makes Boston bench even deeper. Could be a team to look out for in the east.
Cleveland: Al Jefferson signing is brilliance. Last year Shaq and Ilgauskas was injured at the same time so Jefferson could really help out in the post. Memphis tried to sign Al Jefferson but was outbid by Cleveland
Golden State: Salim Stoudamire, Ryan Anderson and Anderson Varejao provides some more depth to this team. Not some bad signings. Am not sure it will be enough to make some noise in the west but you never know.
Houston: Tony Allen signing is pretty good. More depth to there bench. I feel this will be one of the teams to watch for in the west.
Memphis: Monta Ellis, Robert Horry and Darrell Arthur. Why did i sign these guys let me explain Ellis wanted a 1 year deal and I figured why not try him out. I wanted to see how well he will mesh in the backcourt with Mayo. Why did i sign Robert Horry because of his veteran presence, clutch moments and i feel that if we get to the playoffs this year he could come up big in the playoffs. Darrell Arthur was brought back to bring some depth to this team and is also a young player who i feel will perform. Am hoping and looking to get to the playoffs this year. I am feeling hopeful that it will happen.
Miami: Drew Gooden is an interesting signing because now you could have a lineup of J O Neal, Gooden, Beasley, Wade and Chalmers. Will Miami be an interesting team in the east I would say yes. Will they make the playoffs I don't know because of injuries sometimes.
Milwaukee: Kevin Love makes sense for one reason traded off Andrew Bogut to the champion team the Suns.
Minnesota: Jamaal Magloire am not sure about this signing because Magloire is washed up. I would have tried to resign Love or gone after another big man. Not only did Minnesota not resign Al Jefferson but also failed to resign Kevin Love. Courtney Lee signing I guess is for bench purposes be cause of having already Wayne Ellington. I am thinking Minnesota will be a lottery pick again. could they land a number one pick again next year? Who knows?
New Jersey: darius miles signing only makes sense because of needing help at the 3. I do think they could have tried to go after a better free agent though. J.J. Hickson is a solid signing though.
Orlando: Robert Swift only makes sense to come in for Dwight Howard to give him some rest. Other than that this signing makes no sense.
Sacramento: Sebastian Telfair as a one experiment is fine. If they would have signed him to a long team I would hate this signing.
Seattle: Donyell Marshall not a bad signing because of his veteran presence who can shoot the 3. Can also give Jeff green some rest.
What are your views on these signings? Stayed tuned to see some games for this season.

Headline: Yao and T-Mac too much for Memphis in spite of Ellis having a good game beating the Grizzlies 148-134
Memphis was coming into this game feeling confident about the pieces that were adding to the team during this offseason maybe a little too confident. coming up close to making the playoffs last year and during the offseason not only resigning OJ Mayo and Quinton Ross who is a spark off the bench offensively and especially defensely. With the addition of combo guard Monta Ellis, veteran clutch power forward Robert Horry and also brought back Darrell Arthur this team felt they could beat the Rockets. Unfortunely though Yao and T-Mac were too much scoring 114 of the 148 Rockets points. For the Rockets Yao was the leader and top scorer of the night with 59 points 27 rebounds and also had 6 blocks. Tracy McGrady ( T-Mac) scored 55 points shooting 26/44 from the field. He also had 6 rebounds, 5 assists and 4 steals. Point Guard Aaron Brooks scored 14 points had 8 assists 3 steals and hit 2 three pointers. Rookies Jud Patel and Loy Russell each only scored 2 points. Patel shot 1/5 from the field and played 20 minutes whereas Loy Russell shot 1/3 from the field and played 6 minutes. Now for the Grizzlies in spite of losing this game Monta Ellis shined in his Grizzlies debut with 38 points and had 9 assists. Very impressive and if he keep playing like this he will definity be resigned to a long term contract. Second year player combo guard OJ Mayo scored 37 points on 12/24 shooting. Mayo also hit 3/7 from three point land. Hasheem Thabeet had a double double with 10 points and 14 rebounds he also had 3 blocks. Marko Jaric provided 17 points off the bench with 7/13 shooting. Darrell Arthur who returns after being traded to Washington last season for Jamison was solid in scoring with 5 points but the impressive stat was the 17 rebounds he had. Also Robert Horry had to sit out in the 4th quarter due to an arm injury. Rookie Colin Cox only played 14 minutes but had a solid game with 4 points, 7 rebounds and 3 blocks. I don't think Cox will win rookie of the year but I feel he will be a solid backup to Thabeet. Memphis next opponents is on the road against the Los Angeles Clippers so hopefully they will perform great there. See below for the stats

You should decrease your playing time. 148-134 is not realistic without OT-s.
Although two players combining 114 points is awesome
Mon Jul 13, 2009 9:02 am
Why such a high score you might think? I sometimes like to watch the games myself and see how the players play.
Mon Jul 13, 2009 9:12 am
The next game is the (0-1) Memphis Grizzlies VS the (0-2) Los Angeles Clippers. In spite of a total of 75 points between Monta Ellis and OJ Mayo they lost to the Houston Rockets. Let's hope that tonight the Grizzlies can bounce back from that loss as they are taking on the winless Clippers. Memphis has some good scoring with there guards but there post game could use some help. The Clippers have some good scorers in the post with Marcus Camby and Blake Griffin. Clippers also have a good veteran point guard in Baron Davis. This could be a very interesting game so stayed tuned to find out about how this game turns out.

MEMPHIS GRIZZLIES COME OUT BLAZING AS THEY BEAT THE LOS ANGELES CLIPPERS 155-133.
The Memphis Grizzlies told themselves before this team we are not going to play like we did against the Rockets. They did just that beating the Clippers. They started the game with the lead and kept the lead the entire team. Towards the end of the second quarter the Clippers got the lead down to 4 but that inspired Memphis to play even harder and they did never looking back. OJ Mayo led the Grizzlies with 33 points and had 6 rebounds in 38 minutes. Monta Ellis had another good game with 29 points on 11 /21 shooting. Center Hasheem Thabeet had his best offensive game of the season with 26 points. Thabeet also did well on the defensive end with 22 rebounds and had 3 blocks. Another interesting stats for the Grizzlies was off the bench. Marko Jaric scored 26 points and had nine assists in 25 minutes. Darrell Arthur had a double dobule with 11 points and 10 rebounds. As for the Clippers veteran Cuttino Mobley led all scorers with 34 points on 16/28 shooting. Baron Davis scored 26 points and had 7 assists in 30 minutes. Next the Grizzlies (1-3) take on the Timberwolves ( 0-5)
Wed Jul 15, 2009 2:25 pm
The Grizzlies get another win by beating the Timberwolves 126-115.
The Grizzlies started out playing very well and there were a few times where the Timberwolves got back in the game. The last two minutes where great for The Grizzlies putting the game away. OJ Mayo really shined again having 38 points on 17/37 shooting, having 4 assists and 4 rebounds in 40 minutes of playing time. Combo guard Monta Ellis also had an excellent game having 25 points with 12 assists in 31 minutes. My favorite highlight though has to be bigman Hasheem Thabeet who scored 23 points had 22 rebounds and 7 blocks. marko jaric sparked again off the bench with 21 points on 6/14 shooting in 20 minutes. As for the Timberwolves who dropped to 0-6 with this loss there highlight was Spain sensation Ricky Rubio who had 29 points and had 6 assists. Corey Brewer added 16 points on 6/14 shotting and had 7 rebounds. Jamaal Magloire had a double double with 14 points and 10 rebounds. Wayne Ellington had 12 points off the bench in 18 minutes. The strangest thing about this game was that the number one pick Shawn Vaughn finally scored but it was only 1 point off of a free throw. Vaughn shot 0/3 and so far he is proving to be a number one pick that is a bust. See below for the stats.

the next opponent for the 2-4 Grizzlies is the Dallas Mavericks. Will they beat Dirk Nowitzki and Jason Kidd find out in the next post. I am also looking at trade offers for Rudy Gay who i feel isn't producing that great. Am looking for a great defender who can play the 3. I am looking to have a good to great defender at each position. I feel I am set at the 2 with Mayo and Ross as my defenders.

Have you tried using fraps to take screenshots? I know a lot of the people who post dynasties use the program a lot. For me I simply printscreen my screenshots and paste them on to MS paint and crop/resize the picture to my liking with some basic microsoft picture editing program (probably why my pictures don't look up to par with the other dynasties most of the time). It's not that difficult of a process at all, and it can really help out with the overall presentation of a dynasty.

For The Suns Nash scored 38 points in 26 minutes. jason richardson added 14 points, alando tucker scored 13 , amare stoudemire only scored 10 points. bench player Andrew Bogut who in my book should start off Ben Wallace scored 9 points in 13 minutes. see below for stats of key players

I sometimes like to watch the games myself and see how the players play
i do the same; feels like i'm watching a real game hahah
this is really well kept and thorough, great job

aside from "Cheapshot" Bob Whorry, i like the lineup; i'd give Arthur the start and have Whorry on the next flight out asap

Robert Horry signing was about this. I was looking for a clutch veteran player and was hoping to get to the playoffs. I feel that horry will come up big one of these games. I am going to experiment with the idea of starting Arthur. At the moment though Horry is making me wish I signed McDyess instead. I was considering trading Horry for a draft pick. I won't though because if you thought last years draft was bad this one is worse. I would say this coming up draft will be worse than the year that had Kenyon Martin, Stromile Swift and all those players. This year I would be content getting the 8th spot and getting to the playoffs. The Grizzlies win against the Suns felt good though and am hoping they beat the lakers too. the lakers game will be tough too though because of Bryant, Gasol, Odom, Morrison, Fisher, I do like having Quinton Ross coming off the bench though because he can get some minutes to give Mayo rest. Also Ross is a good defender for us. Am looking for a good defender at the 3 spot and was thinking of Rodney Carney because getting Artest would be difficult and am trying to save some space for Lebron or Bosh. Also there are a few free agents and the whole list will be shown later but Chris Paul and Andrew Bogut are just two free agents I'd like to go after next year. I may even go a different direction and not resign Thabeet who becomes a free agent. Rudy Gay is inconsistent and though he has a few games that I like especially against the Suns am looking to maybe trade him next year especially if it's a very strong draft. The only solid bench i have right now is Marko jaric, Quinton Ross and Darrell Arthur . This draft is so bad I might forfeit my second round pick but I'd have to see after i scout harder. I feel that if i could get Paul and Bogut that would tempt Lebron or Bosh to come to Memphis in a couple of seasons. Ellis has been solid though and am only going to resign him if i can't get Chris Paul. Chris Paul and Bogut would be some good veteran that could change this whole franchise along with having OJ Mayo. So express your opinions about what my possible up and coming moves might be for next year and what I might do this year. I only have a little over 2 million left right now but have over 25 million of players coming off the books. so signing Bogut and Paul if i can get them for over 5 or 6 million a piece for a 5 year deal . i also might sign Grant hill to a one or two year deal and have him start or even come off the bench to make my bench deeper. i would still my young team with maybe a couple of veterans which could help the grizzlies get to the playoffs. As I said if it gets Lebron or Bosh to Memphis it would be worth it. Bosh right now from the box scores I've viewed has played limited minutes and they have started marion at the 4, bargani at the 5 and joey graham at the 3, bosh would definity have a place here and arthur could be like Antonio Mcdyess to the Pistons. You never know though what I might do between now and next season so stayed tuned and also the next game is against the (5-2) Los Angeles Lakers.

Headline: It's not how you start the game it's how you finish
Memphis Grizzlies had a very interesting game and you would have thought they were doomed being down 36-10 in the 1st quarter to the Los Angeles Lakers. But from the end of the first period to the rest of the game they played with such intensity. After being down 36-10 the Grizzlies went on a 21-4 run to end the quarter being behind 40-31. The Grizzlies apparantly wanted this game bad and they succeed not only beating the Suns from the last game but even beat the Los Angeles Lakers 148-136. Three players for the Grizzlies really shined tonight OJ Mayo shined again with 42 points on 18/34 shooting and had 4 steals. Monta Ellis shined again with 29 points and had 10 assists in 28 minutes. Rudy Gay shined and he also added 29. OJ Mayo said I was determined if i had to to carry this team on my back. But he didn't have to and Mayo and the Grizzlies were not happy about the start but how they finished. Beating the Suns and the Lakers improved there record to (4-5) . Also starting Arthur instead of Horry was an interesting move and while he only scored 6 points on 3/6 shooting he had 9 rebounds. Hasheem Thabeet was a beast on the board having 23 rebounds. As for the Lakers Kobe Bryant shook his hand in disbelief as he scored 57 points but it wasn't enough to beat the Grizzlies who are apparently pumped up. Derrick Fisher scored 28 points , Lamar Odom had 18 and Paul Gasol added 10. Rookie Point Guard Colby Fitzgerald was solid in his 14 minutes scoring 6 points on 3/6 shooting and had 4 assists. See below for the key players for each team.

this is been a shocking season so far. Charlotte trading there second round Gordon Neumann to San Antonio for George Hill is working in favor of the Bobcats so far. So far i would say the Bobcats are the most improved team of the season at the moment. There is still plenty of season left so you never know who might jump out of the woodworks. Memphis being one game back of the 8th spot right now feels good but doesn't want to stay there and wants to improve. I am hoping that the experiment of starting Darrell Arthur and putting Robert Horry on the bench pans out. Teams that have improved lately are these The clippers have won 4 of there last 5 games. the nets also have won 4 of there last 5 also. Grizzlies winning against the NBA champs Phoenix Suns and also against the Los Angeles Lakers have given them some confidence. The teams that have been disappointing so far are Minnesota, Philadelphia, Miami, Cleveland, Washington, Golden State, Seattle, Indiana and San Antonio to me have been the biggest disappointments. Cleveland to me is the biggest one so far because of having Shaq, Al Jefferson, Lebron, west, mo williams, ilgauskas, rookie small forward caleb jung and rookie small forward drew vickery. Hopefully for there sake they improve from this 4-6 start . The second biggest disappointment to me is the Miami Heat. they signed Drew Gooden in the offseason and also adding to me the second best player in the draft small forward Reuben kim and rookie point guard Dave Burns. Many of you might think why didn't i say Minnesota as the biggest disappointment because of there 0-8 start and i say because i feel they have a lack of talent on there roster right now with the exception of Rubio, Ellington and Courtney Lee. Minnesota so far is looking to be a lottery team again will they get number one pick two years in a row who knows? Stayed tuned for the rest of the season which will include the all star game stats, rookie vs sophomore stats, list of trades and so much more of this season.

Headline: Speedy Claxton was too much for the Grizzlies
The (4-5) Memphis Grizzlies played the (1-6) Golden State Warriors. A betting man would have thought Memphis would have won this game but you would have lost. Speedy Claxton helped the Warriors by scoring 34 points as the Warriors beat 134-126. Not only did Claxton have 34 points he even had 12 assists as he played 42 minutes. Corey Maggette had 21 points on 9/18 shooting but the most interesting stats for the Warriors was off the bench. Willie Green was a huge spark off the bench scoring 20 points on 10/15 shooting in 23 minutes.
As for the Grizzlies Rudy Gay only played 9 minutes because of a fracture to his arm which good news he's not out but can only play limited minutes. In his place though was Sam Young who played 37 minutes and scored 20 points on 9/21 shooting. Young also had 8 rebounds. The best player of the night for the Grizzlies was again OJ Mayo who scored 31 points on 13/29 shooting. Mayo also had 4 rebounds, 3 assists and 3 steals. 8) Detroit- PF- Shawn Warren- 5.7 PPG
9) Philadelphia- SF- Felipe Ferrari- 5.3 PPG
10) Dallas- C- Roy Cook- 5.0 PPG
it's bad now that I passed on Ron MacNamara when I think about it but Cox has been a solid second or third string center and has decent passing. I'm tempted to dump Rudy Gay to get Reuben Kim. Comment on my season and on these rookies scoring so far.
