Knicks Roll Past T'Wolves
Two nights ago, PF Al Harrington was traded to Cleveland for low post presence and in the paint intimidator Ben Wallace. Last night we got our first look at Big Ben vs the T'Wolves. Wallace started the game assigned to Carlos Boozer. Right out of the gate you could feel Big Ben's presence. He had 2 blks in the 1st Qtr and helped New York run up a 8 point lead at 26-18. Knicks red-hot shooter Thaddeus Young kept his hot hand going, throwing down 16 by halftime. New Comer Nicholas Batum also had a great showing, putting in 7 points and 4rebs by halftime, but even more important, he held Shawn Marion to 3 points at the half. Knicks led at half 49-38.
Coming out of the half, New York kept their lead, and their defense wasn't letting anything in down low. Young kept hitting his shots and he had the game high with 34 points. Nate Robinson had a good shooting performence, hitting on 6-7 shots and ending with 17 points. Near the end of the 4th Qtr, Minnesota hit back-to-back 3's to close the gap, but this was a dominate Knicks performence, Knicks 98, T'Wolves 90.
