AROUND THE LEAGUE

After almost two months of new season we take a look at everything going on around the league.

First thing first. Orlando has been special. First team of the league has score of 10-3 and the are led by
amazing Dwight Howard who is an early MVP candidate.

COLD
There are many dissapointments so far. Cleveland has score 4-5 after beating Celtics last game. They can have problems making playoffs
if they don't improve their game drastically. In the West, Utah has only won 3 of their 9 games. Rockets are 3-5 as McGrady is injured.Hawks
are also playing bad basketball so far loosing 7 of their 10 games so far.

HOT
Hottest teams are definitely Nuggets (9-3) and Magic (10-3). In their only matchup this season Nuggets lost at home 97-83. It was all-around
performance and grea first half that led Magic to the victory.

Lets take a look at individual stats.

League leading scorer is Kevin Durant (31,1) , only player averaging 30+ points this season.
Kobe Bryant is second with 26,4 but his Lakers have some big struggles so far.
Lebron James last years scoring champion is averaging career low in points (20,7) and minutes (38,1).

The best rebounder is Dwight Howard (11,2) followed by David Lee (10,1).
The biggest part of Nuggets sucess this season is Chauncey Billups with his career-high 11 assists per game.
He leads the league in assists and he is followed by Chris Paul (9,3) and Jason Kidd (9,2).

But who can be MVP?
So far it's about 3 names.

1st place Dwight Howard 16,8 points, 11,2 rebounds, 3,3 blocks
At least for now Dwight is MVP. He is averaging 16,8 points, 11,2 rebounds and 3,3 blocks.
His Magic is on the top of the league playing great basketball and beating Nuggets this month when Howard
had 22 points and 7 rebounds. Last week he had 20 points and 18 rebounds to go together with 5 blocks in
Magic win against Suns. “ He is great. He is the best center in the league. He just does everything we need.
Whenever we need points he just takes the ball in his hands and dunks the ball thru the rim. He is amazing.”
Rafer Alston said about his teammate.

2nd place Chauncey Billups 16,8 points , 11 assists , 2,5 steals
Denver is playing much better after acquiring Billups. He leads the team with most assists in the league.
“He is scoring, he is passing ,he is clutch. He's MVP. ” Coach Karl said.

3rd place Kevin Durant 31,1 points , 5,4 rebounds , 2,4 assists
He could also be first. He is scoring 31,1 points with few 40+ games, his Thunder is great so far really close to the playoffs
if they continue to play great. But he is just not involving teammates enough to be serious MVP contender his stats are not
all-around he is basically only great in scoring. Thats why he is third.

RUMOR MILL

Ramon Sessions- Bucks want to get rid of their point guard. He could be going to Warriors which are having serious problems with the organisation in the attack.

Quinton Ross- He could finish in Washington as talks are almost finished.

Matt Barnes- Suns still want to trade Barnes, although they sent Grant Hill to Bulls. Nuggets , Grizzlies and Spurs are making push to land him.

Other players involved in trade rumors are Marko Jarič, James Jones, Beno Udrih , Sebastian Telfair and Stephon Marbury.

INJURIES
With many player hurt and day to day , Vujacic is still out of the action after breaking his ankle in the first Lakers game of the season.
Roger Mason had severe ankle sprain and will be out for 2-4 weeks. Ime Udoka also from Spurs is out of the season after suffering broken patella.
McGrady is returning to the court this week after one month. He suffered sprained wrist.

Sensation in Chicago

Rumor are rumors. But today at 4 Pm one rumor seemed just crazy. LeBron James, 23 - year old superstar of Cleveland Cavaliers, was involved in that rumor.
Sources were talking about possibility that Lebron will end up in Chicago in exchange for Deng and Rose. At 8 Pm Chicago GM said for the media. “We got Lebron James.”
After 15 minutes the trade was officially accepted by the league.

James had some problems lately in Cleveland. He was only averaging 20 points 6 rebounds and 7 assists and his team wasn't playing good. Then he had some problems with
Danny Ferry who stated that Lebron is not playing as he should.

Chicago adds another star player

Chicago officially became title contender this season. After adding veterans O'Neal, Hill and young superstar Lebron James Chicago GM announced yet another trade.
One time NBA champion Rajon Rondo was traded to Bulls in exchange for Salmons, Gray and 09' 2 nd round pick. Bulls also added Celtics backup player Brian Scalabrine.

“Ufff. Two tough days for an GM. I'm so happy. We'll see what we can do.” Bulls GM said.

Chicago Bulls were so busy in trading market this season. What happened ?
-At first I said no trades this season. But things went so amazingly our way.Lebron was unhappy,Cavaliers were unhappy I said lets try. It was tough to give up Rose and Luol. I thank both of them for everything they 've done for this franchise and we wish them the best in future.I really want to say thanks to John Salmons and Aaron Gray who has great future in NBA,too.
Adding Rajon and Lebron is just something I never even dreamed off.

In less than four hours after the trade season tickets were sold out. How is Lebron going to effect the fans and teammates?
- I dont know. But he is such a great person I think fans love him already.He is great teammate and he has great frendship with Shaq I don't think we'll have any problems with him.

How did you react on the trade ?
-It was scary. I was in the gym doing shootaround with teammates and Danny camed in to the gym and said I want to talk to you. He just said thank you and tear fell off his cheek. I was shocked, I didn't know whats going on. I just asked whats wrong and Danny said pack your things you are going to Chicago. You were traded. I remeber that I went to the teammates and gave them a hug and then just left.

Do you like this team in Chicago?
- Honestly at first I was like, man who am I going to play with. I mean there was no point guard on that team. Now with Rajon I am just so happy. I think we can win with that roster.
East is tough but I know finals are in our reach. We just need time to get together.

What was wrong in Cleveland?
- This season ? I got big help in Maurice and I said in my mind I don't need to take many shots no more I just need to give the ball to the right guy at the right time. But we had problems winning. People in Cleveland expected me to score 30 every game. I didn't want to do that.

Do you think Chicago needs any other additions?
- No. I mean we have Rondo on PG, Gordon on SG, me on SF, Tyrus on PF and Shaq on C. And our bench is great too. Hill, Noah , Tim Thomas, Scalabrine...We might need backup SG honestly but I think me , Grant and Ben we can all play on SG and SF.

James,Rondo bring victories to Windy city

LeBron James and Rajon Rondo debuted with loss at home against Pacers. Since then Bulls won 4 straight.
The last one against Knicks in MSG. Lebron had another Garden show scoring 44 points and adding 10 assists.

Right now Bulls are fourth in the east with 8-5 and sometimes they looked unstoppable in their last games.
Shaq is dominating inside, James outside, Rondo is passing and stealing the ball, Thomas and Noah are rebounding,
Ben Gordon is hitting 3s and bench is solid every night.

“Right now our only goal is bringing Shaq his 5th and 6th NBA championship” James laughed. “We are getting together
we are winning everything is OK. We had problems last game but we pulled away a win against Knicks.I just knew
we are going to win even when we were behind by 8 with minute and a half left. We still have to get better in order to
make a run in postseason.”

James playing with no.6 has achieved double-double in every game as a Bull so far.Rajon Rondo was doing great job so
far making open shots for teammates with his passing.“ Whenever we win I did my job. Whenever we lose I didn't do my job.
Simple as that” Rondo said. “I don't care about the stats I just want to win that chamionship.”
