I don't know why but i don't like Darrel Arthur. I'm starting Warrick because at a fast-paced game I prefer a fast PF with a great leap and who can finish strong in fast breaks.
I'm lookin to trade for Tyrus Thomas, maybe Arthur and somebody else for him.
Antoine is playing but I use him as a shooter. I don't have a good SG in the bench so i use Morrison (a SF) at that spot so Walker come's up. I will see how he fares with his FG %

I got those huge assists from Livingston because I scored a lot with fast breaks and cuts to the rim. He had just 1 TO, quite impressive

Haha a 20-20 is amazing. I don't think I even achieved that in 2k9 yet. lol great stuff. And benching Conley was a kinda cool way to start Livingston! (Y)

Plus I share your views of Arthur and Warrick. I would choose Warrick over Arthur anytime, but maybe I wouldn't trade him for Tyrus Thomas... its like getting another Hakim Warrick... no?

Yes, I see in Thomas a younger version of Warrick. Thomas is 21,22 i don't remember and Warrick is 26. I know that Tyrus can develope in a great player but in 2K9 he's pretty bad. 71 Overall.

I will push for it more into the season

Grizzlies late rally sinks Oklahoma City

It wasn't Rudy Gay, it wasn't O.J. Mayo, it was Darko Milicic who exploded in the second half to led a 61-42 run to led the Grizz to a comeback victory against the Thunder in Oklahoma.
Milicic socred 18 points to led the team which at the begining struggled at the offense. Shaun Livingston scored 13 points along with 15 dimes. Rudy Gay was held to just 14 points.
By the Thunder, who relinquished an early led and then sucumbed to a 16-30 4th quarter, was led by Damien Wilins and Kevin Durant, both with 15 points. Russel Westbrook had 14 and 9 dimes.

Free Throws:

* This was the worst offensive game by the Grizzlies, scoring "just" 99 points
* Memphis only had 7 turnovers
* Hakim Warrick and Drew Gooden combined for 24 points and 17 rebounds

Last year it was common to see him in the club (Union de Oncativo)

Grizzlies trade Buckner for Bucks' Jones

ImageImage

Memphis continues with the team shakeup, this time they traded SG Greg Buckner to the Bucks fot PG Damon Jones. This is not a great move. It's more for cap space for next year. Buckner had 2 years and a team option for a third one at $4M and Damon Jones is in his last year at $4,68M.

ANALISYS
Buckner will be the team 3rd SG behind Redd and Charlie Bell, he won't play much time. He's a great defensive player and can be used sometimes in the court against hard scorers.
Jones is the fifth point guard of the Grizz. With Livingston running the point and Conley as the backup, he will battle wit Lowry and Crittenton for some minutes, but the last two didn't even stepped in the court.

GRADE
Memphis: B
Milwaukee: C-

Memphis historic Win at Golden State

We thought that a matchup between the new look Grizzlies and the Warriors would be a high scoring matchup, but never from only one team as Memphis torched the Warriors at home 125-75.
The Grizz decided to punch first and it hurted badly, as they took an 42-20 lead by the first quarter and never relinquished a quarter. The Warriors looked lost in their own game and never had and answer to the balanced attack of the Grizz.

This time, the rookie Marc Gasol was the leading scorer from the bench, with 28 points (12-13 FG). Shaun Livingston had another great night 21 points, 18 assists and 6 rebounds. Mayo scored 23 and Milicic had a double-double, 16 points and 15 rebounds.
By the Warriors Stephen Jackson scored 15 and Monta Ellis 11

Free Throws:

* The Grizz shoot an outworld 66% from the field (53-80) surpassing the franchise record set earlier in the season.
* Milicic and Gasol, the Grizz C', combined for 44 points and 19 rebounds.
* Memphis had 45 assists in 53 baskets, another franchise record (Led by Livingston's 18 and Mike Conley's 7)
