Orlando, 9th November (AP) -- After winning the Knicks, the Bulls had 9 games left to their early season road trip. 4 of those 9 are played, and here are the scores and boxscores for all of them. Rose has had quite many good games, and has taken the lead in both, scoring and assists. He is also the reason, why the Bulls are having a rather surprising record, 4-2, despite not having the home crowd behind them for a single time. During the game against the Cleveland Cavaliers, Thabo Sefolosha injured himself and will sit out from 7 to 11 weeks.@

Just 5 games against Bobcats, Wizards, Hornets, Trailblazers and the Thunder left on the road, til' the home opener in Chicago, where Derrick Rose and the Chicago Bulls get a shot against the defending champions, Boston Celtics. Rose will have a good test, as he'll be guarded by the real quick Rajon Rondo. Coming up next, Ben Gordon will try to match up against Jason Richardson. Can he ? - stay tuned.
Oklahoma City, 20th November (AP) -- The long road trip has finally come to an end, and it's showing really positive numbers for the Bulls. 8-3, all games played without home crowd, anything. When people were asked about Derrick Rose's statline before the season, questions like: " How many times will he get a 20-10 game this season ? " people usually responded, around 5. Well, he has already had a 40-10 game, couple of 20-10 games and averages the league best, 9.8 assists, and also averages over 23 points a game. Let's get to the topic, and the results of the games are for you below.@

"We came here to win, and I gave my best to help us actually do so." Derrick Rose said after his 40 point, 11 assist performance in Portland. The Bulls will now have 19 home games to play, including the whole December, without taking a trip anywhere. "That's a damn nice schedule, man !" Bulls bus driver, Billy, said. Derrick Rose has definitely earned his title of being the teams superstar, and who knows, maybe he is the second coming after MJ ? Time will show ..
Chicago, 30th November '08 (AP) -- After a tough loss to the defending champions, Boston Celtics in their home opener, the Bulls had to bounce back against four teams to end the month great. The road trip for the Bulls was terrific, which they finished with a record of 8-3, pretty surprising for a team that's led by a rookie point guard on their every step. The scores for November's last 4 games are written below.@

That's the way Bulls ended their month. Despite starting their home games with 2 straight losses to Celtics and Nets, they were alright winning the next three to stay 3-2 at home and 11-5 overall. This is it for this time, for more information and a deeper look into the Bulls' month, stay tuned for the soon-to-come month recap, that will include the month for the Bulls, inside the league, standings and so on.
Chicago, 1st December (AP) -- The first (full) month into the season, a lot to follow and enjoy. On the top of the rankings, you have LeBron James and the 12-3 Cavaliers, followed up by the rather surprising New Jersey Nets. Then in the top 5, you also have San Antonio Spurs, Dallas Mavericks and once again a surprise, the Bulls from the Windy City. No Celtics, Lakers, Jazz, Rockets or any other stacked team that could be predicted up there. Still, there are still bad teams existing as well, when you look at the bottom of the standings, you see Sacramento and New York down there, both teams under .300%. There are many improvements on teams, many downfalls. A lot of players have gotten from good to better and some even from very good to better. Rookies have got their sight set, even though the hometown hero Derrick Rose is easily over the others.
When you average 30 points, 8 rebounds and 5 assists, without anyone else doing nearly that good, there's not a big possibility of someone catching up in the race. Even better, you average over a block and a steal per competition and you have your team standing in the 2nd place in the west. Dirk Nowitzki is having a quite comfortable lead in the race and looks to add one more most valuable player award to his name. It's not just a dream when you play that good and your team has got the rhytm.
Although Nowitzki is laughing at the other candidates, there are few - very notable ones. The second place would most likely go to Tim Duncan, who averages nearly 23 points, 13 rebounds and 4 assists (1.8 steals, 2.13 blocks), and does so while having his Spurs slightly ahead of Dirk's Mavericks to give them the first seed in the western conference. On the 15th November, Tim Duncan had a 54 point, 19 rebound performance as they trashed over the Suns in Phoenix.
Third place in the rankings, would go to LeBron James, mainly because his team is doing as good as any other. Even though LeBron hasn't scored so much this season, averaging just 19.9 points per game, his rebounds have gone up to 8.5 and his assists stand quite usual at 5.9. His defense has improved a lot, LeBron James is now blocking exactly 2 shots per game and has his SPG at 2.4. He has had an extremely good shot selection so far as well, which bumps his percentages up by quite a lot as well. James is shooting .534% from the field and .396% from the suburbs. Therefore, his free throw shot has struggled even more and has fallen under 60%, as he's shooting an awful .574% from the 'charity stripe'.
Fourth place will be handed out to Kevin Garnett. KG is behind James just because of his team record, which is not as good as it could be, or even should be. 11-6 is not something to be proud of, atleast as a Celtic. Therefore, Garnett has played impressively. His statline looks real good, 22 PPG, 12.1 RPG and 3.9 APG. The major improvement in Garnett's game seems to be 3pt shooting, as he's shooting .375% from the 3pt line. His defensive play is also really good, 1.53 steals and 2 blocks per game - no need to say more, right ?
And the fifth place goes to Derrick Rose. This kid's a stunner - 23.8 PPG, 3.6 RPG, 8.8 APG and even 1.88 SPG, despite the critics commenting his defense. That is .. that is unbelievable ! He leads the league in assists, ranks 4th in scoring (tied with Bosh) and shoots .520% from the field. He's a lock for the rookie of the year award if he keeps his performance up, but don't be surprised if he's looking for more.
Aaaaalmost, but still: Kobe Bryant, Andre Iguodala, Chris Bosh, Amare Stoudamire, Gilbert Arenas
The young Bulls have been really successful, and you've got to show them some respect. Derrick Rose is doing it all - as mentioned above, and below. B-b-but, let's just for once change the topic from Derrick Rose and talk about other Bulls. Ben Gordon has been doing really well too. He is averaging 19.1 points, 3.0 rebounds and 2.9 assists. He has shot 39 three pointer already and if you have watched the games, you are probably happy with him too. He has shot the lights out a couple of times already and has been a really big factor to the Bulls success. BG is doing it in the crunch. Also, if you haven't watched, then you better know - Gordon has only started in 8 out of 16 games, despite being the 2nd option in the offense.
Then, you also have Luol Deng and Drew Gooden scoring in double digits. Let's take Gooden first, he's been more impressive. Drew has his stats close to 13 points and 9 rebounds. Still, he's been really impressive and has started in all but 1 of his 16 games. The most funny and interesting fact is that, Gooden leads the team in 3pt percentage with .500%. He has taken 6 shots and made 3 of them, lucky ! As promised, we'll also talk about Deng. Man, he's struggling. Still an all-around as always, he's having it at 10 points, 5 boards and 2 assists. He almost averages a block and a steal, too. Still, .375% from the field for a guy like him - no good.
The other Bulls, no story needs to be written. They get along quite nicely without any dramas. YES, there are exceptions and these are known. Vinny Del Negro has been quite alright with the teams defense. The offense of Bulls has a great flow and it doesn't lack much more than a strong forward, which the Bulls are hunting for. If their defense improves even more than it has improved so far, look for a strong regular season, but let's not make predictions for the playoffs that early, even though Derrick Rose admitted that he'd do whatever needed for playoff experience, and if he said so, you can't argue with him.
Rookies ? You have that 'race' similar to the MVP one - race for the second place. Derrick Rose is the only rookie that averages over 20 points. Nobody else even averages 5 assists. And let's just make sure everything else is said about Rose.. No way, let's just say the most important things are said, and that's enough, ain't no bookshop here ! Not to forget, congratulate Derrick Rose for bringing the rookie of the month award home, he sure deserves that !
You'd probably give Greg Oden the second place, still, he's the only one among the rookies to average a double-double. He averages 14.2 points, 10.5 rebounds, 2 blocks and 1 steal per game. He and Brandon Roy are carrying the young TrailBlazers, who have struggled so far, most likely because LaMarcus Aldrige, a big part of the organization, hasn't been able to step his game up yet.
OJ Mayo gets the well deserved third place, which you could even argue of. He could possibly be moved even higher, but let's leave him here right now. Mayo has been really useful for the Grizzlies. His statline tells enough, 15.5 PPG, 4.3 RPG, 4.2 APG and 1.80 SPG. If he improved more, maybe he'll get it to 18, 5 and 5 ? Maybe, maybe and once more, maybe.
And the fourth place goes to .. Russell Westbrook !Rus' has played similar game to Mayo, atleast statistically. Ofcourse, he's not having as important role as Mayo on his team and doesn't dominate the ball as much, he still has a lot to carry on his shoulders. "It's not easy to be the rookie point guard on a rookie team." - that's what Westbrook has said. 14.4 PPG, 3.7 RPG, 3.9 APG and 1.5 SPG, nice job, Rus' !
Aalright, you'll get in ! Michael Beasley, luckily infront of Minnesota's Kevin Love. Okay okay, Beasley, you deserve to be here. Your 15 points, 9 rebounds and 2 assists are still really good for a rookie. Still, too bad you haven't fit with Dwyane Wade too well yet, but I'm sure every Miami fan has his thumbs high for you ! Keep it up, Mike !
Not many trades were made in the early season, most notable is the one that sent Antonio McDyess to Memphis in exchange for Marko Jaric. McDyess is now the starting forward for the Grizzlies and doesn't have anything negative against the team. Memphis did the trade because of a need of an extra forward like Dice and they also wanted to make more playing time for their rookie star OJ Mayo. Pistons wanted to give more playing time to their frontcourt as well, mostly to their young starter, Amir Johnson.
Other transactions sent D. White from Thunder to Suns in exchange for A. Tucker, while the LA Clippers sent Brian Skinner to the Nuggets for Scottie Weems.
