Good Luck :)

Thanks for the support, ill take a look at your dynasty. nice to see someone following. i was getting worried.

Lamrock wrote:Please refrain from plugging your dynasty in other people's thread. Especially if it is no good

My only suggestion for this would be to have the points listed first on the top contributor's stats. Otherwise, not bad. Readable for a first dynasty.

Thanks for you input lamrock, will put the points first in future posts.

Chris Paul | Jordan Player of the Game

"It's great to see the team firing on all cylinders again. There was a lot of pressure put on us after the first two games, which we probably should have won. I think that these last four wins have set some things straight with the media."

Chris "Birdman" Andersen elevated to Starting 5

Image

The New Orleans Hornets have announced in a press conference today that Chris Andersen will become the starting Center for their team. Andersen, who has been suspended for the last 2 years for testing positive to an illegal substance, has recently had his playing rights returned by the NBA.

Hornets Head Coach, Byron Scott, made this comment, "It is with great delight that we welcome Chris to the Starting five. We feel that his perfomance against San Antonio was the bridge he needed to cross to achieve this position." Scott said, "This is by no means a permanant position, merely a trial to see how Chris stands up to the pressure. Neither are we unhappy with Tyson Chandler's recent performance. We're just giving him a go.

Andersen will start against the Philidelphea 76ers tomorrow night.

Post-Game Quote

David West | Jordan Player of the Game

Reporter: David, why do you think your playing so well as of late?

David West: "That's exactly the thing. It's what I think. It's how I think I'm playing. People can tell me what I'm doing wrong, what I'm doing right, critisize me, praise me. But it doesn't matter what other people think. It's what I think of myself. That's why I've been playing well. It's all self-confidence."

Nice journal, good job done so far.

One question though - will you ever score less than 100 points? :P

Oh, and one more thing - I think you should post around-the-league-stats after every game. You know, the scores, the league leaders, the standings.

Thanks for your advice. i probably won't score less than a hundred points, cause im really bad at defence, so they score lots of points, but im good at offense so i score lots. ill be happy if i did though.

As for around the leagues, im only halfway through november at the moment, and i was going to post it at the end november, when the scores are more clean cut (at the moment bench players are leading all the field goal and 3 point ladders because they've only taken 1 shot and they got it in.) after november i was going to post them at the end of each week.

thanks for your interest.

Maybe you should drop the quarter length by one minute? Just my opinion.

Hornets takeout Nets in close showdown

Image
Above: Chris Paul was a crucial factor in the game, with 22 Points and 7 assists.

The New Orleans Hornets have continued their winning streak with a win over the New Jersey Nets in East Rutherford, NJ, last night. The game was close, with the lead constantly swapping. At the end of the 1st, New Orleans led 26-20, but this lead quickly evaporated, as New Jersey scored 41 points in the 2nd, compared to the Hornets 15. However, an early 12-0 scoring run, and a later 10-2 run leveled the game by 3-quarter time at 75 points each. New Orleans managed to gain the upper hand late in the 4th, with a late run securing the 10 point victory. David West, who, despite being absent during the 2nd quarter due to an unknown injury, scored 42 points. Devin Harris was the top-scorer for the Nets with 37. Notably, veteran superstar Vince Carter was restricted to 6 points in the scrambling New Orleans defence.

Diagnosis not good for West: Byron Scott

Image
Above: David West lies on the floor in pain after injuring himself during the Hornets game against the New Jersy Nets last night.

New Orleans Hornets head coach Byron Scott has announced in a press conference today that starting power-forward has broken a bone in his foot. West, who injured himself against New Jersey last night, has not spoken to the media, but his manager released a statement saying: "David is distraught by his recent injury. An injury of this kind would usually leave someone on the sideline for at least 2 weeks, and David is heart-broken that he will not be able to play these games." New Orleans Head Coach, Byron Scott, also announced in the press conference that it is a blow to lose West. "David has been in incredibly good form of late, and it is a big setback to lose him to injury. I also would like to thank David, who, despite his injury, returned to the game last night, and helped seal the win during the clutch moments of the game."

West, who went down early in the 2nd quarter, was originally cleared to play by Hornets' head trainer Terry Kofler. Kofler diagnosed West with a hairline fracture in his foot, that did not need serious attention. However, it is believed that upon returning to the game, West agravated the injury, which was later diagnosed as a spiral fracture in his Intermediate Cuneiform.

West, who scored 42 points in the game last night, was 2nd in the overall points tally, behind Mavericks Superstar Dirk Nowitski. However, with this injury, West is likely to fall from the rankings all-together.

Byron Scott says, "It's a big disapointment for David, who was certainly in contention for the scoring championship."

Scott also announced that with Wests' injury, Chris Andersen will slot into the Power Forward position, and Tyson Chandler will return to starting Center.

New Orleans Hornets trade Pargo for Davis

Image
Above: Ricky Davis is set to make a large impact on the Hornets.

The New Orleans Hornets have announced that they have traded point-guard Jannero Pargo for shooting-guard Ricky Davis. The deal, involving the Minnesota TimberWolves, was viewed by both teams as a worthy addition to their team. Hornets Head Coach, Byron Scott, said that Davis will be entered into the Starting Lineup at Shooting Guard, ahead of Morris Peterson, whose prefered position is Small Forward.
