" Hey, I got news ! " he shouted.
" Hey hey, your waking my kids and my wife up, what's up ? " Paco asked.
" I think we got another star player, a small shooting guard.. Guess who. " he asked.
" A small shooting guard ? Well there are only a few, let me guess.. Iverson ? no.. Monta ? " Paco guessed.
" The first one, Iverson.. Sorry if I messed your plans, but I got a tip. Trade Stephon, he doesn't do tasks and he isn't trusting his teammates, if you would have seen the game three days ago against the Nets, you would understand. " Jim said.
" Well.. Who did you send for AI ? " Romero wanted to know.
" Murphy, Dunleavy and.. You know who asks 2 millions.. " he said.
" WAIT !? You sent Santos ? " Paco asked while getting a little pissed.
" Hey, are you the coach ? If no, then don't raise your voice. We can sign a free agent, Francisco Elson on center, and Lorenzen Wright also, on center. Both veterans, but good enough. If we trade Stephon for someone also, we will have perfect rotation. Maybe. " O'Brien told.
" You have a point there. Who will play tonight against the 76ers ? The former ? " Paco asked.
" No, AI will be here tomorrow if not later. So.. " O'Brien said.
" Well okay, I actually like the trade. You are a coach for real. " Paco replied while laughing.
" Thanks, well you can sleep on now, but if you get any good ideas, tell me, and look for someone for Stephon, please. " O'Brien said and left.
" G'day ! " Paco shouted, but Jim already shut the door.

" Whoa, AI ? This is tough.. AI and Starbury together ? Huhu.. That's a killer ! " Paco said to himself as he went back to the bed.

I'm ill at home right now, so I can't play basketball right now, so I decided to bump my dynasty.

The phone started to ring, and O'Brien picked it up.
" Good morning, this is George Karl. " he said.
" Hello, I guess it is about the trade. "
" You're right, we decided to accept it. " Karl told.
" Oh, thanks. I knew this trade is going to make both teams better. I'll send you the paperwork and I will tell my players. I wanna see Iverson here tonight, it's press event. " Jim said.
" Well, Iverson already is going there. He is a little bit sad leaving the Nuggets, but well, we only got better from this trade. Thanks, I got to hang up now. " Karl told.
" Okay, I'll do the paperwork, good day ! " O'Brien said.
" Bye. "

Jim liked it, as he knew that Paco is going to get some nice center from free agency. He decided to give him a call.

" Hey Paco. "
" Oh, hey Jim. " he replied.
" Guess what ? Iverson will be here soon. " O'Brien said.
" Oh, that's good. guess who I signed from free agency. It's DeSagana Diop. He is a terrific rebounder and even better blocker. Like it ? " Romero asked.
" That's good ! I like it. What about Marbury ? " Jim asked.
" About Marbury.. I'm still thinking about it, I think he can't play together with AI, they are kind a contest players from '96. " Romero told.
" Yeah, I get your point. Well, tell me when you have your mind clear. Good bye ! " Jim said.
" Bye bye. " Paco replied.

After few hours, Romero knew the bright future. He decided to give a call to O'Brien.

" Hey, Jim, I know how it will be now. " he said, with a quick voice.
" Yes ? Tell me. "
" We are going to trade Stephon, Devin and the other rookie, Castillo for Rashard Lewis, Hedo Turkoglu and Brian Cook. " he said.
Jim laughed.
" Do you really think they would accept it ? " Jim asked.
" They will, trust me. And next, you think we don't have a point guard then, as AI is going to play mostly SG, ofcourse some time from the PG position too, but hey.. We are going to have lots of Power Forwards then, but we are going to send Nick Collison to Miami for Jason Williams. Terrific passer and can also shoot, what you say ? Oh, wait, we also can will give Diogu playing time as center, or Brian Cook, we'll see about it tomorrow. " Paco said.
" Hmm.. Sounds nice, really nice. If so, I wanna see ALL of them at the press conference tomorrow, is this possible ? " Jim asked.
" Might be, I don't know how long it will take for them to get here, let's see about it. " Paco replied.
" Okay, I will hang now. I hope the future is as good as you promise. Good night. " O'Brien said.
" Yeah, G'night. " he answered.

Next morning, two hours to the press conference.
Romero's phone started ringing.
" Yes, hello. " he answered.
" Hi, it's Jim. I got news, Van Gundy called me. He decided to accept, perfect, huh ! Even better, Jason Williams is also here in a hour, and so is AI, unfortunately Lewis, Turkoglu and Cook will be here tomorrow, so.. They'll be here against the raptors, but not at the press conference. " Jim said.
" Oh, shouldn't be a problem, chemistry will come out anyways, I hope. We got a dreamteam, what you think ? " Paco asked while laughing.
" I agree, you've done a pretty good job this week, but hey, let's win games now. We are 0-2 ! " O'Brien replied.
" Yeah, we will. Let's meet at the press conference, see you there. " Romero said.
" Yeah yeah, see you there. " O'Brien answered.

Two hours gone by, press conference time.
Paco Romero and Jim O'Brien were already there, the first person who got there was Jason Williams. Didn't take too long for AI either, as he came 4 minutes after him. The room was full of cameras and such.

When Jason Williams entered at first, cameras went there to talk with him, but they were seperated as the questions will be answered later, same thing happened with Allen Iverson.

First people asked questions from Jason Williams, who also came first.

At first it was buzz, but the main question came out, as it always does.
Q: " Jason, tell us, do you like your new team ? "
A: " Yeah, it's okay. They got some nice class in here. Glad I can be a part of it. "
Q: " Pacers now have got two men born in Virginia, you and Allen Iverson.. Though you were born in the western part, what do you think playing together with a superstar like him ? "
( AI laughed a little as he sat next to him. )
A: " Oh, well, I think it's pretty good. I can hand a lot of assists now, and I think as in a good team overall like it is, we can sure go to the championships, I wish it will happen. "
Q: " Thanks for these words, Williams. "
A: " Okay. "



Even bigger buzz started now, as the cameras were shining on shining Allen Iverson.
Q: " Iverson, do you agree with your teammate that the Pacers can go straight to the championships with this kind of a talent ? "
A: " None knows, time will tell. "
Q: " What do you think about the team ? "
A: " It's alright. I like it. "
Q: " What do you think is your role on the team ? "
A: " I'll try my best at every part, I wanna make my teammates better and also put up numbers myself. "
Q: " Thanks, this is Allen Iverson in the Indiana Pacers. "
A: " Alright. "



Q: " Mr. O'Brien, what do you think about your new roster ? "
A: " I mean, I think me and my assistant coach have done really good work together, especially credits to him. I think we can go far with this kind of a talent. "
( Romero said Thanks. )
Q: " Who will be your team's captain on the court ? "
A: " Not sure.. AI, Rashard, Granger.. Those three are the main guys I think, not sure as I already said. The captains will come out themselves. "
Q: " Thanks, we wish you good luck this season. "
A: " Appreciate. "

And that's how the day went, after it the players went their way after talking a few words with their team and the staff, and went to do personal things, as moving and similar.

The Pacers will next host Toronto Raptors on the 3rd November.

3/11/08 - Indiana Pacers vs Toronto Raptors

In the first quarter, the Indiana Pacers got kind a blown out,
scoring 28 points, which is big in some games, but the
Toronto Raptors finished the first with 40.

In the second quarter, the Indiana Pacers pulled after making
a nice run which continued in the 3rd quarter.
In the fourth, both teams played well, but the Raptors stayed on
and forced the Pacers to go for their 3rd straight loss, which gives
them a 0-3 record till present.

The new franchise players Allen Iverson and Rashard Lewis
combined with 72 points ! Allen Iverson scored 45 by himself,
had 4 steals and 4 assists. Rashard Lewis grabbed 13 rebounds,
had 3 blocked shots and 2 assists.

" CB4 " had 26 points and 6 boards, while TJ Ford had 22 points
and game high 14 assists. Jose Manuel Calderon came off the bench
with 20 points, 3 rebounds and 2 assists.

The Indiana Pacers will next host the Bulls from Chicago on 5th.

Actually, it was good for the Magic too as they needed SG alot, though, I wish CPU would change players places if needed, they could have played Turkoglu at 2 also, but well. Turkoglu isn't good in the game anyways, his overall is like 70-73, I don't remember right now. Thanks, I will keep it up.

5/11/08 - Indiana Pacers vs Chicago Bulls

The Pacers managed to get their first W, but it was good, as they were
over the Bulls in every quarter. The trio, Rashard Lewis, Allen Iverson and
Danny Granger managed to combine 91, led by last years MVP Lewis with 36,
Allen Iverson with 32 and Danny Granger with 23. Rashard Lewis grabbed 9
boards, had 2 assists, 2 steals and 3 blocks, while Allen Iverson had 9
assists, 4 boards and 3 steals. Danny Granger had 5 assists.

Ike Diogu came off the bench with 16 points and 5 rebounds, Hedo
Turkoglu scored 11 bench points.

Kirk Hinrich from the Chicago Bulls had a game high 46 points, he also had 9
assists and 4 boards. Ben Gordon had 29 points, 3 steals and 4 rebounds.

The score went really high in the fourth quarter, as the Indiana Pacers
pulled off many good shots and grabbed the sure win by 19 points.

The Indiana Pacers will next host rookie Miloslav Bozovic and the Milwaukee Bucks.

Nice win! The trades are a bit unrealistic, but props for pulling them off.
Your roster is pretty great overall, but you need more young guys.
Mostly everyone except Granger is at a veteran level. Anyway, good luck!

@Skillmatic, Thanks. Well, I got robbed in offseason, decided to get back what I could have got. Well, yeah, kind a veterans. I got some young guys along with Granger: Diogu, Diop and the rookie Perez, his overall is 69 so I can work on him. He is kind a like 1.5 guard, he can kind a shoot too if I am right. I will give him some more minutes after some games. But yeah, my future is probably Danny Granger, I will keep him, not going to trade him, and if my veterans happen to retire, it clears up my cap space and I can bring young blood on.

7/11/08 - Indiana Pacers vs Milwaukee Bucks

The Pacers came up with an easy win over the Bucks, and the
key was good defense, forcing turnovers and hard shots, as the Bucks
shot 47% from the field, against Pacers' 67%.

In the first half the Pacers played more offense and went in front by 10,
and then they started to play more defense and won the game by 22 points.

The Pacers' bench scored 41 points, Diop and J. Williams combined 15.
AI, Lewis and Danny finished with 76. Allen Iverson showed a really
good performance with game high 30 points, 6 rebounds, 8 assists and
4 steals. Rashard Lewis had game high 10 rebounds.

Michael Redd finished with 23 points, Mo Williams with 20 points and
13 rebounds, rookie Miloslav Bozovic with 18 points. Andrew Bogut
had game high 2 blocks.

The Indiana Pacers will start their 14 game road-trip at Orlando on the 9th.

9/11/08 - Indiana Pacers @Orlando Magic

The big lead wasn't taken quickly, not in the first, not in the second,
but the third quarter actually brought the Pacers a big win. In the third
quarter, Orlando started to magically miss easy shots, they made turnovers
and the Pacers made a big run.

The Indiana Pacers trio didn't score much at all, combining only 51 points,
led by Rashard Lewis' team high 26 points. AI had 19 and Danny Granger
only dropped 3 shots, all 2 pointers which gave him 6 points. Granger was
in an early foul trouble, as he had 2 in the first quarter and 4 in the
second quarter.

The rotation was led by Erik Perez, who had a terrific game, as he proved
himself in the fourth quarter, scoring 16 of teams 20 points. He shot 4
out of 6 from behind the arc, and 6 out of 9 overall. He also had 3 boards
and 2 assists.
" Well, I wasn't drafted because I wasn't too good for the other guys, "
Perez said, " I just felt I'ma have to prove my self you know.. I'll try to
give my best, we won.. " he finished.
DeSagana Diop also had a good game, as he had 14 points and 4 blocked
shots, all in the first quarter.

Stephon Marbury, who was a Pacer in the beginning of the season, or you
could also say last week, had a game high 29 points, game high 13 assists
and also game high 8 turnovers. He took a lot of shots, 39 to be exact,
and he only hit 10. Rookie Rolf Akil had 26 points, 8 rebounds and 2 steals,
he shot 11/17 from the field and 3/3 from the 3pt territory.

11/11/2008 - Indiana Pacers @Miami Heat


- Allen Iverson and Dwyane Wade, what a great matchup, but it went to the 'youngster', atleast AI could call him so.

*** Boxscores.

After a 3-0 streak, the India Pacers lost to a terrific overall team Miami
Heat. The Miami Heat are now 6-2, and the Pacers fell under .500 again, with a 3-4 record.

The Indiana Pacers had a better first quarter, but the Heat always found
a streak when Marcus Banks came in.

Allen Iverson had a game high 31 points, and also game high 6 turnovers. He had 3 assists and 2 steals also. Danny Granger
scored 20, had 7 boards and 2 assists, Rashard Lewis made 14 points
and grabbed 13 rebounds. Rookie Erik Perez had some more minutes
this time because of his good performance in the last game against
the Magic, and he continued as he scored 18 points. He shot 4 out of 9
from behind the 3pt line this time, but it would have been much better,
but he took the clutch on himself in the final minute as he missed all
three attempts.

Dwyane Wade had a really good game with 23 points, 2 rebounds, 2
assists and 3 steals. Another rookie, Terry Flynn, scored 13 points and
had 8 assists, the best thing is that he had 0 turnovers against the assists.

The Indiana Pacers will next be hosted by the Charlotte Bobcats. (3-5)

it is strange how Miami plays much better in Live08' with Marion and Banks. Too bad that you've lost. But you have for sure great players....great team.
