San Antonio Spurs @ Utah Jazz Result

San Antonio Spurs (0-2) vs. Utah Jazz (2-1)

Duncan & company had a hard time get passed mediocre Utah.

Image92
Image98

1st Quarter- Good start for the Jazz as they were dead even with the Spurs 12-12. Until the Spurs sgot into a rhythym that is. After that the Jazz scored one shot after that by Deron Williams while the Spurs took all Playoff frustrations on them. Parker got off to a quick start leading all scorers with 10 points. Robert Horry leads all rebounders with 4 and Parker and Williams each have 3 assists. Kinda of interesting because Duncan, Ginobli and Parker are the ONLY ones who have scored so far. I tell you this, once there out Utah better take advantage because they have no other reliable scorers at hand. Mediocre start for the Jazz. (SA- 22 | UTAH- 15)
2nd Quarter- What did I tell you? The SPurs can not function without Tim Duncan! This was certainly Utahs quarter as they outscored San Antonio's bench 11-3! Big difference! The key players here were Jon Fajardo, Matt Harpring and Dean Karpovtsev. Indivudally, Jon has 6 points, 2 rebounds and 3 assists. Matt has 8 points and 2 rebounds and Dean- OMG, Dean has 5 points 6 rebounds and 1 block! This rookie is looking to make his mark against the toughest team in the West. I think this bench is certainly stepping up better than the starters dont you? Anyways, the Spurs will need to get Duncan back in if they dont want to the Jazz to get too far ahead- because at the pace there going, its possible. Great quarter for the Jazz. (SA- 32 | UTAH- 38)
3rd Quarter- Not bad a quarter for Utah again. But it was close as Duncan, Ginobli and Parker began raising hell. But fortunately for the Jazz, Kirilenko came off the bench and shot 4/4. Boozer shooting 3/6. Barry 2/2- pretty much the Jazz outscored San Antonio again 11-8. Only one more quarter and the Jazz can put this tough team behind them for now. San Antonio is still not getting any bench production so Utah needs to look for shots taken by Parker, Duncan and Ginobli. I can almost feel my heart pounding faster as Im hoping Utah can come up with the upset. Mediocre Quarter by Utah. (SA- 52 | Utah- 61)
4th Quarter- Yes! Yes! Yes! Utah pulled off the upset! I didnt think it was possible but everyone came through. They began the 4th quarter exactly where they left off from the 2nd and 3rd. Although San Antonio finished by outscoring Utah 16-12, it was the time management of Utah that put everything away. Big stats came from Utah with Okur scoring 8 points, 9 boards and 3 blocks. Boozer put it 16 points, 4 boards and 2 assists, AK47 put in a great 23 points with 4 rebounds, 1 assist, 2 blocks and 3 steals. I sense Defensive Player of the Year again! Brent Barry came up big with 17 points 1 rebound, 2 assists and 2 steals. Deron helpd the cause with 9 points, 2 boards and an amazing 10 assists. But the key players who need their kudos is Jon Fajardo, Matt Harpring and Dean Karpovtsev who got this whole run started. I think its safe to say that Utahs bench isnt so poor after all. Expect more playing time from these individuals.

Hey guys once again. Ive been messin around with trades, and the CPU states that I need a decent Power Forward to back up Boozer because Kris Humprhies is doing s*** right now. Now the only thing I can probably get is Ike Diogu from Golden State and I love this guy! Would it be beneficial for me if I snag him but keep in mind I will need to trade Kris Humprhies (PF) and my rookie Chinua Hobb (SG). So its a 2 for 1 deal. Let me know ASAP!

Big Trade Deal for Utah!

Postby A4JUBEEZY on Mon Sep 03, 2007 2:42 pm

Trade Deal Pits Former Warrior, Ike Diogu In A Utah Uniform

Image
Ike Diogu (above) goes from the Golden State, to the Jazzy state.

Salt Lake City, Utah- During a new conference in Salt Lake City, it was announced that the Utah Jazz were talking with Golden State and came to an agreement that would pit Golden State's Ike Diogu (PF) in a Utah uniform! In return however, the Warriors wanted Kris Humphries (PF) and Chinuas Hobb (SG) meaning this was a 2 for 1 trade bargain. Diogu, who has complained about how unahappy he was in Golden State and wanted a trade, finally got his wish as he agreed to a 3-year deal worth $1.84M. Jerry Sloan stated during the conference that "Ike is a great player and it's sad that the Warriors don't use enough of him off the bench. I can give you my word that once Ike gets settled with Utah, Diogu WILL be a household name!" Of course with that trade, it now leaves Utah with an eleven man roster. But Jerry Sloan seemed to be not so worried as he had 100% in his decision. With the end of the conference approaching, the interviewers and phtographers only last memory was Jerry Sloan shaking Ike Diogu's hand as they both smiled with Ike entrusting Jerry to make something out of him.

From: Golden State Warriors
Subject: Trade Offer Accepted
Date: November 4, 2006
 Ike Diogu for Kris Humphries, Chinua Hobb works for us. Both teams will benefit from this trade.

Author's Trade Explanation:
Hey guys. So pretty much for every trade that may occur between me and another team, you will be seeing this section in which I explain why I made the trade. I feel as if not a lot of author's give you an understanding as to why they make the trades they make. So i've decided to do so here. So, the Ike Diogu trade. Number one, i love Ike Diogu. I liked him in Golden State, as well. And it was a heartbreaker to have Don Nelson trade him away to Indiana. So when I found out that i could have the opportunity to snag him and put him in a Utah uniform. I DID IT. I felt as if the Warriors didn't deseve him if you will. Haha. Also, as I was looking to make some possible trades, the CPU notified me that I needed a Power Forward to back up Carlos Boozer because Kris Jumphries wasn't cutting it for us. As for the 11-man roster, Im not too worried at all seeing as I never go further than my 10th man in the rotation and when simmed the CPU doesn't either. Plus, my created player (Jon Fajardo's) contract is up next year so I know he will want more money so what I'm going to do is let him go, continue my dynasty as the GM and find another point guard. Or... possibly keep him AND trade him and B. Barry for a Shooting Guard and sign a free agent backup point. Long explanation, but I wanted to let you guys know where I will be going with the Dynasty. And thats it. Keep following! And the preview against the Rockets will be coming up fast!

Utah Jazz @ Houston Rockets Preview

Postby A4JUBEEZY on Mon Sep 03, 2007 3:13 pm

Utah Jazz (3-1) vs. Houston Rockets (3-1)
Novemeber 9, 2006

Coaches Journal
Entry #4
 We got lucky in this one. Yao Ming suffered an ankle injury and will NOT be playing tonight! But the bad news is that we still have T-Mac to worry about. Also, Stromile Swift may not be a Yao Ming but he is a 6'9" highflyer who can wreak havoc in the paint. We need our frontcourt to be on their heels! Juwan Howard is an excellent defensive player. Expect Houston to put him on any one of our hot shooters. Still dont know much about their rookie small forward, Rudolf Caswell but dont under estimate him. However, his defense is poor and AK47's offense is strong. So take advantage of that matchup ALL day! Mike James returns as their point guard, although he isnt defensivley minded, he can light it up from beyond the arc if left open. As far as their bench, I think we got this one in the bag with Fajardo, Diogu, Harpring and Karpovtsev. Overall I think we can give Houston a decent matchup and a run for their money. Sloan out!

Outcome:
Houston OVER Utah

This is one of the best dynasties i've seen. Keep it up. (Y)

i like the fact that it's so realistic.

Is the draft class deep? If so i'd look to trade away Andre for maybe a young 82-86, maybe Josh Howard depending on how the mighty Mavs are going, and a first roud draft pick. :)

Utah Jazz (3-2) vs. Houston Rockets (4-1)
November 9, 2006 7:00pm

Boozer wasn't all smiles after the 3rd quarter as his team fell short... again

Image86
Image92

1st Quarter- Well Utah looked like a very poised team as they started the game against the Rockets. The early minutes was a straight shoot out between the two. In the end, Utah outscored Houston 10-9. Individually, Carlos Boozer is standing strong with 6 points and 4 boards. AK47 has 8 points, 1 board, 1 assist and 1 block. And Deron Williams is comfortable with 4 points, 1 rebound and 3 assists. For Houston, T-Mac has 9 points and 1 board. he had to come off early because he had 2 fouls in the 1st which meant less scoring for Houston. Rookie Rudolf Caswell however is holding the team together with 4 points, 3 boards and 1 assist. Stromile is statless in the 1st and Juwan has 4 points and 2 boards. i think Utah is finally getting this basketball thing. Great quarter for Utah. (UTAH- 22 | HOU- 19)
2nd Quarter- Yet another decent quarter by Utah. And T-Mac had everything to do with it as he picked up his 3rd foul in the mid quarter. He once again left his team stranded as Utah outscored Houston again 13-11. Individually, Boozer is putting on a shower for us. As he added 12 points and 4 rebounds to his totals. Rookie center, Dean Karpovtsev doing it defensively with 2 blocks, Jon Fajardo assisting them with 4 assists and AK47 adding 10 points. Still no sign of Ike Diogu, the 3rd quarter looks to be when he'll make his first appearance. For Houston, T-Mac did what he could with 8 points, Mike James added 4 points and Juwan Howard added 4 points and 3 rebounds. T-Mac again couldnt do much because he drew his THIRD foul! T-Mac needs to figure something out because what hes doing is NOT working. But excellent quarter by Utah. (UTAH- 50 | HOU- 44)
3rd Quarter- Things began looking up for Houston as they came out the gates scoring and outscoring the Jazz 10-8. Mike james certainly unleashed himself busting 3 three-pointers and a few field goals giving him 13 points. Stromile and Juwan combined with 8 points and rebounds. T-mac finally came off the bench but ONLY contributed 2 points to the cause. However, Carlos Boozer again keeps providing Houston with a problem as he seems to be unbeatable in the paint, he added 11 points and 2 boards. Deron Williams added 4 points and 5 assists and we still see no sign of Ike. But i dont blame Sloan at this point as Boozer is playing as the superstar we thought he could be. Excellent quarter for Utah. (UTAH- 67 | HOU- 67)
4th Quarter- What a comeback for Houston to take it away from Utah. Even though they scored the same 9-9 it was Mike James and T-Mac who put it away for good. Indivually, Mehmet Okur added 2 points and 5 boards, Boozer not much of an offensive threat this quarter as he added only 1 rebound, AK47 added 6 points, 3 boards and 1 block, Brent Barry added 7 points and Deron Williams added 2 points, 1 rebound and 1 assist giving him AND Carlos Boozer double doubles. Boozer finished with 29 points and 11 rebounds. AK47 finished with 24 pointsm 4 boards, 1 assist, 2 blocks and 1 steal. Brent Barry finished with 13 points, 1 rebound, 3 assists and 1 block. And Deron Williams finished with 12 points, 6 boards and 10 assists! For Houston, Mike James took it away with 29 points and 7 assists. T-Mac caught up with him and finished with 26 points. Juwan Howard finished wih 12 points and 9 boards and Stromile Swift finished with 7 points, 3 rebounds and 2 assists. (UTAH- 86 | HOU- 92)

I'm glad that you managed to trade away that other rookie generated point guard of yours. Although he was rated fairly high in the game, I think he would just hinder Deron Williams' playing time. Although I don't really know/care that much about Diogu, I hope he can be productive for you.

I'd also look to acquiring a decent shooting guard. Barry's pretty old and I think you should look to get a little younger at the position.

It looks like Miami is playing like shite this year. Good, I hate them with a firey passion. :D

thanks alot... the draft class's depth is unknown because im playing on console so its all on luck haha...

I think id rather keep AK47 because hes the only reason why we're getting points in the paint. other than that, thanks again OLI... keep following!

lol i didnt trade him yet... but im looking into it, the lakers needa point guard and wnat him badly and their shooting guard is excellent but he has no ball handling drills and loses the ball everytime he does a freestyle move. But i am however looking to trade Barry and Fajardo in a package to New Orleans for JR Smith and their next best point behind JR. If that doesnt work, then its back to square one haha... but thanks for following Its_asdf and keep following!

great start man! as a bay area native and lifer Dubs fan, i'm diggin' the Diogu trade (hated that he was a casualty of the Bumleavy deal in reallife); hope you stick with Ike for the long haul; some interesting league player movement too - most notably Tayshaun to the Bucks and Redd to Bobcats; curious to know who Pistons/Bucks picked up to fill in those big roster holes?

anyway, looking good; was away for a bit but will follow (Y)

Milwaukee Bucks @ Utah Jazz Preview

Milwukee Bucks (1-2) vs. Utah Jazz (4-2)
November 15, 2006 7:00pm

Coaches Journal
Entry #5
 Okay well this will be an interesting team to play because they aqcuired Tayshuan Prince in the off season, so it will be interesting to see how they use him in their offense. Of course he's starting so Desmon Mason will be coming off the bench and boy can he fly high for dunks! As for the starting 5 however, Gadzuric is a main blocker, so lure him out of the paint with Okur. Chris Wilcox is a power machine in the paint but Boozer is stronger, expect it to be a little too physical. I like this matchup between Prince and AK47. They're both long and athletic but Im a bit worried that Prince can disrupt our main defender by taking him out to the perimeter. Watch out for that. There rookie SG Kevin Olajakundi is a mean shoooter, but his problem is that he cant dribble the ball for anything. He has no handles. Pressure him and we'll be alright. Not Maurice Williams is a pure point guard so he'll be thinking pass first all the time. So what we can do is keep the ball out of his hands by doubling him all day. Now the bench doesnt run that deep. its runs as far as there 7th man with TJ ford and Desmond Mason so my advice... be physical, do not let Mason get into the paint because once he's in the air, its OVER. and for Ford, he's still unproven but that doesnt mean he doesnt have skills. He is also a pure point guard so double him and well be okay. Overal we should have a pretty good game against the Bucks.

Outcome:
Utah OVER Milwaukee

Nice work picking up Diogu. Now if you could only address your SG spot and yoi'll be tearing it up. However, I do like Brent Barry. How can you not like the whitest guy to ever win the dunk contest? I almost always end up with Barry on my team in most of my dynasties.

Milwaukee Bucks @ Utah Jazz Results

Milwaukee Bucks (1-3) @ Utah Jazz (5-2)
November 15, 2006 7:00 pm

Deron Williams passes his way through Milwaukee to improve to a 5-2 record.

Image82
Image85

1st Quarter- Well this wasnt a bad quarter for neither team. They are evenly matched as they both went 9-19. But Milwaukee is up at the quarter. So far it was just an early shoot out between the two, and honestly, neither team won it! Utah already commited 3 fouls and had 7 turnovers! Whereas Milwaukee is +5 in rebounds than Utah with 11 and has had 6 offensive rebounds. Something needs to click for the Jazz if they want to pose a threat. But its still too early to tell. Remeber the Houston game? We thought Utah was long gone till they came back and yeah eventually they lost but i mean, it was exciting. But anyway, it has been a team effort in scoring for the Bucks as Olajuakundi scored 5 points, Mason scoring 6 off the bench, Wilcox with 4 points and a good start for Prince as he has 2 points, 2 rebounds and an assist. For Utah its been Boozer and Ike all the way as Ike has 8 points and leads all scorers, this could be very much the night he makes his start as an elite member of Jerry Sloans team. and Boozer has 5 points and 1 board. This has been a rocky start for AK47 as he has 2 points and a block. I dont think this was the quarter the Jazz wanted. Decent quarter for Utah. (MIL- 21 | UTAH- 19)
2nd Quarter- Well a slow start for Utah but they eventually got everything clicking once the 4 minute mark hit. They began hitting shot after shot which earned them to outscore Milwaukee 14-10! Now I dont know how they keep getting these bursts of life late in the quarters but they better manage to keep this one because this is as good as they get. Utah had NO turnovers this quarter but took the ball 3 times from Utah to get even. The field goal rating speaks for thmselves with the Bucks shooting 49% and the Jazz shooting 55%. Look like everything is in sync with Utah so far. Carloz Boozer turned it up for them in the 2nd by scoring 8 points and grabbing 8 boards along with an assist which lead to Andre Kirilenko going bad with 6 points and trust me, once he gets started, theres no stopping him. AK47 also added a steal making that his 7th straight game with at least a steal or more. Good Job AK47! It was the Dan Gadzuric show in the 2nd for the Bucks as he scored 10 points in the paint and grabbing 4 boards, with 3 of them being offensive ones. Utah needs to block him out if they hope of getting defensive boards. Prince had a decent quarter scoring 2 points, grabbing 2 boards, and blocking 2 shots. I dont think he;s much of an issue at this point in the game but Maurice Williams is as he has added 6 assist to his stats leading Deron by one. Overall: Great quarter for Utah! (MIL- 41 | UTAH- 48)
3rd Quarter- And the pool birds are coming out folks! What a quarter for Utah! If there was quarter Utah needed in this game it was THIS quarter! Wow! To sum it up Utah outscored Milwaukee 12-8! But I mean forget about the rebounds, forget about the fouls, Utah is dominating this game and the way the score is, you'd think it was the Bucks winning, but no. utah came to play as they shot an increased 57% from the field! The Bucks decreased by one meaning they're now shooting 48% from the field. Number 1, big game for Boozer again. He added 6 points along with 2 rebounds. AK47, like i said, went on a rampage with 8 points and 2 rebounds. Deron Williams racked up 3 points and 3 assists. And the man of the bench, Ike Diogu contributed to 2 points an assist and a block on Maurice Williams. Rookie Center Dean Karpotvsev helping out the cause with 8 boards off the bench! Milkwaukee on the other hand, needed some help shooting as everythign was scattered, they dont have a primary shooter anymore every since Redd left, so the points go as so, Olajakundi has 5 points, Mason has 4 points and Maurice Williams has 5 points. If Milwaukee hopes to win this game, shooters better start shooting, meaning Desmond Mason needs to be unleashed. If not then utah has this one in the bag. Excellent quarter for Utah! (MIL- 63 | UTAH- 75)
4th Quarter- Yes!Yes!YEs! Thats how you do it! Utah blew the Bucks out! Even though the Bucks outscored the Jazz 8-6, it did not matter in the end as Utah already had a nonpassable lead! Utah finished the game with 33 rebounds, 20 assists, 8 steals, 3 blocks, 11 fouls and 16 turnovers. They shot 41/80 or 51% from the field, 33% behind the arc and 60% from the charity line. Milwaukee ended the game with 36 rebounds, 19 assists, 7 steals, 5 blocks and 11 fouls. They shot 47% from the field, 23% behind the arc and 45% from the charity line. Individually, Utah had 5 players in double digit scoring. Boozer had another double double night with 19 points and 11 rebounds. AK47 had 18 points, 4 rebounds, 1 block and 1 steal. Deron had 10 points was shy of a double double by getting only 9 assists, Jon Fajardo had himself 10 points and 3 assists and the man of the hour is Ika Diogu who came out the gates shooting and ended the game with 16 points 1 assist and 1 block. The Bucks were a little scrappy however as Gadzuric had a night with 15 points and 11 rebounds. Prince had12 points 5 boards and 3 blocks, Desmond Mason added 14 points. Maurice Williams had 7 points along with 11 assists. olajakundi had 19 points with 3 boards. Overall: Excellent finish for Utah! (MIL-82 | UTAH- 95)

Thanks. And for my SG problem- DONT WORRY. I got something cooking for all my viewers. Hopefully this player will help us throughout our season. All I can say is that he's young, has GREAT potential. He's a 6'7" 210 pound youngster out of Seattle Prep, haha... BIG HINT. haha and thats it. Hopefully you guys will dig this trade.

Roster Gets Better For Utah!

Portlands Number 8 Joins Utah as Sloan Pulls One Again

Image
Martell Webster aka WEBSTAR was the target in Utah's big 3 man trade

Salt Lake City, Utah- Well Utah has done it again, Jerry Sloan and his NBA experience bargained with almost every team avaible in the NBA. He was about to bargain with European teams! But he finally stepped on a gold mine when he acquired Martell Web"STAR". This was a huge 3-man trade that involved Portlands, Jarrett Jack (PG), Viktor Khryapa (SF) and of course Martell Webster (SG). But in return, the Jazz traded in on their #2 future point guard, Jon Fajardo who was very upset in Utah due to his lack of minutes. So Sloan did what he had to do and traded him along with Gordan Giricek and their #3 rookie center, Rocco Gage. When asked about his new team, Martell smiled and said, "Haha, Im ready to shake Utah up!" Looks like he's all smiles about his new team. And of course with him the new starter, that makes Sloans starting 5 the 2nd youngest starting 5 right behind Milwaukee. When Fajardo was asked about this trade, he was said to of have just been happy to be out of Utah! And with that, Utah fans filled the room with loud and monstrous boo's! Now when's the next game against the two, you ask? Well these two teams will be meeting next year, January 10 in Portland. So WebSTAR wont be having his homecoming till way later in the season. But I think the big game will be when Portland visits Utah in March! We'll see how the fans view Fajardo then! Anyways, good trades by both teams. Cant wait to see the Fab 4 in Utah with Boozer, Williams, AK47 and WebSTAR!

 Martell Webster, Jarrett Jack, Viktor Khryapa for Jon Fajardo, Gordon Giricek and Rocco Gage works for us. Both teams will benefit from trade.

Author's Trade Explanation:
Ok so once again Ive made another beneficial trade for Utah. The reason i went for (SG) martell Webster was because he was young and had great potential. My original plan was to get JR Smith from New Orleans but they were being to stingy and just would'nt trade him. So I went to the next best thing, Martel Webster. He's young and averages 16.6 points in the game. I didn't realize it until after the trade but I just created Utah's first ever FAB 4! I have Carlos boozer who averages 19.3 a game with 8.4 boards a game. AK47 who averages 19.6 a game with 7.3 boards a game. Martell Webster who averages 16.1 a game with 4.4 boards and 3.6 assists a game. And Deron Williams with 15.0 a game with 7.6 assists per game. I cant wait to try the FAB 4 out. Haha. But for Portland it was just the matter of them needing a better point guard and thats exactly what I had in my hand. I traded him because I feard he would interfere with Deron William playing time and plus, he didnt do much for the team anyways. So since I traded my created player, i am now going to continue the Dynasty as the GM rather than player. Oh and Jarrett Jack was obviously thrown in for a backup point guard for Deron. Plus, i think Jarrett is cool haha. Hope you guys dig that trade. OUT!

New York Knicks @ Utah Jazz Preview

Postby A4JUBEEZY on Thu Sep 06, 2007 12:25 pm

New York Knicks (1-7) vs. Utah Jazz (5-2)
Novemeber 19, 2006

Coaches Journal
Entry #6
 Well this should be a good game for us. Even though they do have star players i think our speed and our mobility can overcome the Knicks. They are struggling right now sitting on an 1-7 record, last in their division and conference. There whole offense, however revolves around Starbury. If we can occupy him then we disrupt everything else they have on offense. Have Deron Williams be on top of everything when matching up against Stephon. Jamal Crawford is just a natural born shooter I love this matchup between him and WebSTAR. I think this is the matchup to look for today. Quention Richardson is as pure of shooter as you can get along with Crawford. He can light it up from behind the arc and make room for himself to shoot. DO NOT let him get comfortable, because once he's in the zone, everyone pays! Channing Frye is still looking to make his mark, so I dont think he'll pose a threat to Okur and our offense. Micheal Sweeteney is a beast in the paint, and if we let him loose then its rampage time! But Carlos Boozer wont let that happen. He too tough to be pushed around like that. Overall i think this can go either way depending on how each team plays.

Outcome:
Toss Up

Projected Starters:

New York Knicks (2-7) vs. Utah Jazz (5-3)

Quentin Richardson and Jamal Crawford both had stellar nights as they passed Utah in the end

1st Quarter: Well bad start for Utah as Carlos Boozer suffered an ankle injury of some sort in the early going. He will not be playing the rest of the game and will be sidelined for the night. So far this game has been very crappy for new York as they are only shooting 36% from 8 of 21 shooting. Funny how they still manage to stay in the game like that. Utah however is still shooting like pros with 57% from 8 of 14 shooting. So far Utah has 4 assists compared to New Yorks 0 assists! new York however has 4 steals under their belt while Utah has none. Both are just shooting terrible from behind the arc as they are shooting 0%!!! Indiviudally, Okur is setting a trend with 6 points, 3 rebounds and 1 block. Dean karpovtsev who is in as the 4 guy has 5 points and 2 boards. Martell WebSTAR is starting slow with 3 points. AK47 put in 2 points 1 rebound and a block. Deron has only 2 assists. Ike Diogu and Carlos Boozer both contributed 2 points and a rebound before Boozer went out. For New York, it has been Jamal Crawford all day as he has 11 points lready. Quention Richardson is behind him with 4 points and 2 boards and Starbury is sitting quiet with no stats yet. Utah should keep this up and score more if thy want this one. I think they can do it, too. Decent quarter for Utah. (NY-17 | UTAH-20 )
2nd Quarter: Wow! What a terrible uarter for Utah. They began the quarter letting New York go on a 8-0 run and ultimately outscore them 11-8! Steals still seem to be a factor against Utah as New York stole the ball 5 times! And in total, Utah had t total turnovers! This is a quarter not to be remember by the Jazz. Individually, Martell let the way for Utah with 7 points and a rebound but everyone else needs to step up. Brent Barry added 3, AK47 added 4 points and Dean Karpovtsev added 4 points and 3 rebounds. Someone on this team needs to step up. And i think number 47 needs to do so immedaitely! For New York it was all good, Marbury had 2 points but was later injured. Nate Robinson added 6 points, Frye- 2, Sweetney-2, Trvor Ariza added 2 points, 2 rebounds and 2 assists, Jamal Crawford added 7 points and Q-Rich added 4 points. If New York keeps this up, they could pull an upset here tonight folks. TERRIBLE quarter for Utah!
(NY-45 | UTAH-38 )
3rd Quarter: Eh?The Jazz couldve done better but they did retain the lead...but then LOST it late in the 3rd. All they need to do is go through this last quarter and then they'll survive. They managed to outscore the Knicks 9-5 in a low scoring quarter. Good game for Utah in general as they out assisted and out rebounded the Knicks. Knicks in this quarter shot for 28% while Utah for some reason is miraculouly shotting 50% from the field. Individually AK47 came out shooting as he led his team in the 3rd with 10 points and 1 rebound plus ANOTHER steal. Im telling you, DPOY again! Okur added 2 points to the mix with 5 rebounds and a block. Ike Diogu added 4 points, 2 rebounds and 1 assist. Marbury came back from the minor injury and shot only 3 points. There is no really big shooter fro mthe Knicks in this quarter but the shootign was all over s Arize had 2, Crawford added 3 and Robinson added 3. One last quarter left. Let's see who gets it. Decent quarter for Utah. (NY-57 | UTAH-56 )
4th Quarter: And the Jazz couldnt do it. WebSTAR couldnt help them get passed the struggling Knicks who now improve there record 2-7 while messing up Utahs record and making them go 5-3. Okay so post game stats. Utah REALLy needs to work on their turnovers because team have been having an easy time stealing it from them. The Knicks stole the ball 14 times from the Knicks. Utah did though, get 7 blocks on the Knicks but most of them resulted in out of bounds possessions for the Knicks. Individually however, the stats are pretty impressive. Okur ended with 9 points, 11 rebounds and 2 blocks, Diogu added 8 points, 7 rebounds and 2 blocks, Webster had himself a decent night with 18 points. Deron Williams only had 10 assists with no shots. Berry added 6 points. AK47 had a team high 22 points with 2 blocks.Jarret Jack had 5 assists and Dean Karpovtsev had a career game with 11 points and 9 rebounds with 1 block. For the Knicks, Frye finished with 10 points and 10 rebounds. Sweetney had himself 4 points with 7 rebounds and Quentin Richardson had a monstrous 18 points, 5 rebounds and 3 assists. Jamal Crawford had a game high 25 points and Marbury had 11 points. Benchwise, Trevor Ariza had 4 point and 4 rebounds and Nate Robinson added 8 points, 1 rebound and a block! I dont know how, but Utah just lost this one in the end. HORRIFIC quarter for the Jazz. (NY-85 | UTAH-76 )

AIR JORDAN PLAYER OF THE GAME:

I'm pretty sure that's a picture of Jamal Crawford for player of the game.
