Duncan & company had a hard time get passed mediocre Utah.

st Quarter- Good start for the Jazz as they were dead even with the Spurs 12-12. Until the Spurs sgot into a rhythym that is. After that the Jazz scored one shot after that by Deron Williams while the Spurs took all Playoff frustrations on them. Parker got off to a quick start leading all scorers with 10 points. Robert Horry leads all rebounders with 4 and Parker and Williams each have 3 assists. Kinda of interesting because Duncan, Ginobli and Parker are the ONLY ones who have scored so far. I tell you this, once there out Utah better take advantage because they have no other reliable scorers at hand. Mediocre start for the Jazz. (SA- 22 | UTAH- 15)
nd Quarter- What did I tell you? The SPurs can not function without Tim Duncan! This was certainly Utahs quarter as they outscored San Antonio's bench 11-3! Big difference! The key players here were Jon Fajardo, Matt Harpring and Dean Karpovtsev. Indivudally, Jon has 6 points, 2 rebounds and 3 assists. Matt has 8 points and 2 rebounds and Dean- OMG, Dean has 5 points 6 rebounds and 1 block! This rookie is looking to make his mark against the toughest team in the West. I think this bench is certainly stepping up better than the starters dont you? Anyways, the Spurs will need to get Duncan back in if they dont want to the Jazz to get too far ahead- because at the pace there going, its possible. Great quarter for the Jazz. (SA- 32 | UTAH- 38)
rd Quarter- Not bad a quarter for Utah again. But it was close as Duncan, Ginobli and Parker began raising hell. But fortunately for the Jazz, Kirilenko came off the bench and shot 4/4. Boozer shooting 3/6. Barry 2/2- pretty much the Jazz outscored San Antonio again 11-8. Only one more quarter and the Jazz can put this tough team behind them for now. San Antonio is still not getting any bench production so Utah needs to look for shots taken by Parker, Duncan and Ginobli. I can almost feel my heart pounding faster as Im hoping Utah can come up with the upset. Mediocre Quarter by Utah. (SA- 52 | Utah- 61)
th Quarter- Yes! Yes! Yes! Utah pulled off the upset! I didnt think it was possible but everyone came through. They began the 4th quarter exactly where they left off from the 2nd and 3rd. Although San Antonio finished by outscoring Utah 16-12, it was the time management of Utah that put everything away. Big stats came from Utah with Okur scoring 8 points, 9 boards and 3 blocks. Boozer put it 16 points, 4 boards and 2 assists, AK47 put in a great 23 points with 4 rebounds, 1 assist, 2 blocks and 3 steals. I sense Defensive Player of the Year again! Brent Barry came up big with 17 points 1 rebound, 2 assists and 2 steals. Deron helpd the cause with 9 points, 2 boards and an amazing 10 assists. But the key players who need their kudos is Jon Fajardo, Matt Harpring and Dean Karpovtsev who got this whole run started. I think its safe to say that Utahs bench isnt so poor after all. Expect more playing time from these individuals.
