Wow... Kandi looks pretty different. He had a beard too. Anyway, nice trade. You lose OVR point wise in the trade, but B.B. will develop into much more than Flip. Nice job.

However, though Turky Glue is younger than McDyess, McDyess is way better and you lose one of the league's best sixth men.

Fianlly, update the topic title, so people know its updated.

Summary
As Turkoglu returned to Magic and a few old pistons faces returned to the team they use to star in like Hill, Delfino, arroyo and Mcdyess. Just 30 second into the match horrifically Webber to leave the game after he tried to take it strong to the basket only to be hit and suffer a leg injury, this did not discourage the piston they came back fighting especially R.I.P who had 11 1st quarter points but it was a battle of insides with Rasheed and Dwight both dominating and it was not until the last minute the Pistons Got there inside defence going as Billups stripped Dwight and the very next play Rasheed blocked him to set up Billups for a buzzer beater 3 making 24-23 in the pistons favour at the 1st break.

As the 2nd quarter started so did Dampier’s piston career as he blocked a driving arroyo the very 1st play, whilst B.B was shooting the lights out at the other end. The pistons dominated but couldn’t finish there shots, with the bench keeping a slim deficit the piston starters came of late and ended the quarter strong especially Billups who had a first half which included 5 points, 2 rebounds, 5 assists and 7 steals, the pistons led at half time 43-40.

Orlando began the half on a scoring tear taking a 48-47 lead. The pistons kept with the magic though and then when Tayshaun jammed and got fouled and hit the 3-point play the pistons took a 2 point lead. Then Rasheed got firing on offence and Maxiell on defence as pistons took a 62-61 lead as Rasheed had 20 points and 6 rebounds.

Turkoglu started the last hitting a contested 3 but magic as they had done all match kept coming with the ex-piston Mcdyess getting a 3-point play. Straight away the pistons were on the attack again running a play to get Turkoglu open and he didn’t disappoint hitting another 3 pointer. The pistons had a strong finish playing some good defence and putting on a flurry of points to win 91-82 with a solid team performance, a season best game for Maxiell (4 boards and 4 assists with 4 point) and a great debut for B.B. Carpenter as he shot the lights out.

Injury Report
Webber went down in the first 30 seconds with a leg injury it is yet unknown the severity of the incident.

First Game
B.B Carpenter Handled the pressure that comes with a major shooting pick-up for the Pistons and delivered shooting 4 from 7 from downtown and 1-1 from inside the arc, Piston where delighted and can’t wait to see what the future holds.

Maxiell steps up
After Webber got injured Jason Maxiell stepped up and played a great game the pistons coach Flip Saunders later commented,
“Regardless of Chris’s injury we where going to try and get Maxiell some serious minutes and now with this performance and some more hard work on the training courts we could see in the regular Pistons rotation, as today he showed he has great defensive skills and is extremely un selfish.

BAD NEWS!
P.S. Scans later revealed Webber has sprained his ankle and will be out for 2 weeks during the meantime Maxiell will be playing at PF.

:scold: Pistons Say NO :!:

After Pistons big win GM 3PK was offered the deal of Rafer Alston (71 overall, playmaker and good shooter) and H. Vuu (66 overall no skill) for Jameer and Alonzo mourning and the Pistons were very quick to say no Declining the offer as soon as GM 3PK red it.

Summary
From the outset of the match Wallace looked to make up for the absence of Webber as he got hot from inside then hitting an uncontested three to put the pistons up 11-4 with Wallace contributing 7 of those points. The Hornets straight away hit back with Paul driving it full court and creating a 3-point play which he converted on. But Pistons surely weren’t going to loose there run because of that as Billups found Wallace for the easy 2. Once again the Pistons ignited with Wallace sending a marc Jackson shot deep into the crowd forcing the hornets to inbound and shoot immediately but it was all going in pistons favour as Peja missed an open three to set up a fast break monster jam for Wallace. The pistons then held there lead to roll into the 1st break up 21-13 with Wallace and Billups Combining for 15 points, 2 rebounds, 5 assists, 2 blocks and a steal.

The pistons came out with no starters on the court to start the 2nd and the fresh legs paid of on the 1st play as they ran the fast break and scored an easy lay-up. The Pistons defence turned it up another notch as B.B used his quick hand to intercept the passing lane then send it down to nelson that was fouled and converted twice from the line. The pistons bench kept fighting and had the lead out to a whopping twelve points when mason took it strong to the basket for the jam and scored the 1st hornets points out of there last 8 shot attempts. This started a 6-0 run for the Hornets which was quickly stopped by a huge mourning jam which saw the piston bring on a fresh starting 5. But something was clicking for the hornets as they went on a scoring frenzy reducing it to just 2 points with a couple of minutes to play in the 2nd. But when the Wallace started to go to work in the post the lead was back out to 6. The pistons then went on a burst taking the lead to 10 with a minute to play but Devin and Peja hit two clutch three pointers to make it a 37-33 pistons lead at the half.

The hornets came out strong cutting the lead to just 1 point but like the pistons had done all season they went to there dynamic duo of Billups and Wallace who soon saw the lead back out to 5. Maxiell then stepped up grabbing 3 rebounds in a minute and adding 4 points, then it was Princes turn the lead breaking out to 11 points and causing concern for the hornets, As the bench took piston into the final term up by 8.

Things just got worse for the hornets; on the first play of the last nelson took it to Chandler and the outcome was horrible Chandler having to be helped of carrying an injury. The pistons and Hornets rallied but Nelson turned it on scoring 10 points as the Mourning and Dampier did it on defence. The pistons came up comfortable winners 90-77 starting the season 4-0.

Tuesday 21st November Atlanta V Detroit Pistons (4-0) @ the Palace

Billups falls aganizingly short of triple-double, Was it enough to get the Pistons home :?:

PG- C. Billups
ImageImageImageImageImage

Atlanta starting five
C- L. Wright
PF- M. Williams
SF- J. Smith
SG- J. Johnson
PG- S. Claxton

Summary
Early the Pistons looked for Rasheed Wallace and as he had all through the season he was using his arsenal of moves on the Hawks, The pistons lead 6-2 when yes another injury struck Maxiell having to sit down on the Bench leaving the pistons with just 9 players, the pistons only reply was poor defence as they allowed hawks take the match and they weren’t looking like a 4-0 team at this stage. But then Billups inspired something in the pistons dishing out 9! Yes 9 1st quarter assists to give the pistons a 21-20 lead.

The hawks dominated play but whenever it looked like they were going to get a big lead the pistons hit back the 2nd quarter was dominated by defence as the hawks kept a slim 4-6 point lead, but then going into half time Pistons scored consecutive baskets to make it a 2 point ball game with Wallace scoring 20 out of the Pistons 39 points.

After the half the pistons continued were they left of taking a 2 point lead early in the 3rd, both teams offensive game got going and they went bucket for bucket neither team giving an edge. Then Billups and Wallace got going once again and the pistons were able to consolidate a 2 point lead to set up a great last quarter.

In the Last quarter it was a battle to get points no-one was going to give away an easy point both teams fought and fought neither was giving an inch but then pistons went on a run thanks to some great defence from Mourning and some sweet shooting from The pistons backcourt, The pistons toughed it out for a 82-74 win. Billups fought for the triple-double but unfortunately came short, although I think he would’ve rather the tough win. But unfortunately it wasn’t all good news due to the injury of young and upcoming Jason Maxiell who was injured in the same fashion to Webber.

Webber to return from injury

Injury report
In four days time Webber will return back to the pistons starting five After several weeks on the sideline, this will give the pistons a well needed boost at forward, Also to there offensive structure because of webber abbility to work inside, shoot or pass. As well the return of Maxiell from a less serious injury. The pistons look forward to being a team that is all healthy and will look to stamp there authority against the cavaliers who might be without LeBron depending on the medical report which will determine if he can recover from his injury in time for the pistons clsh.

November Review

The Pistons enjoyed a superior November compared to the oppisition as Billups had a carrer high assist month whilst Wallace went on a scoring high having games or 30 and 32 points. The pistons also saw various transaction to see shooting capacity and a moster big man defensive bench added to the mix.

Where do they improve:  The pistons went 5-0 during November and believe there next goal should be trying to go undefeated again, stay healthy, improve individual stats but most importantly try and develope a trust for eachother on and off the court and also to reduce the number of turnovers they had.

Pistons Transactions  During November the pistons acquired Alonzo Mourning who brang a great inside presence and more often then not has been up in the top 3 for blocks and rebounds. The pistons also added big man Eric Dampier who was getting better as the games progressed and had a solid game against New Orleans but especially Atlanta. Some other acquisitons were Two great shooters in B.B Carpentar (93 overall shooter) who had solid game of about 6-8 points in each whilst Hedo Turkoglu Had a good time from but beyond the arc going 5-8 at Detroit but also adding even more size and depth in the pistons bench, he also provided a strong PF/SF combination with Prince when Maxiell and Webber could not play.

Improvement  many times during November Nelson showed improvement in his shooting and ballhandling, Maxiell also improved in FG's and Offenisve awerness

Just continue it. You have to be patient. It isn't about replies. Keep it going and replies will come. This is really good, and I want to see at least a whole season. Just be glad you aren't doing a 2K7 association. It is impossible to get followers.

no do game by game. it is much more interesting. you could sim one then play one if you were dong a longer season, but this is only a 29 game season, and you have already done 5 games in a few days. if you sim games, the season will go way too quickly.
