Carney, Miller, Secure Win Over Bucks
76ers 113 Bucks 106

In a game that went down to the wire, a Rodney Carney dunk (shown above), and an Andre Miller three proved to be the difference. Philly struggled to shoot well on the opening quarter, but a strong effort to crach the boards helped keep the 76ers in the game. Lee Nailon, the week-old Sixer, sparked them off the bench with 8 points while superstar Michael Redd dropped in 9 points. Philly led 25-23 after one.

The second quarter saw the 76ers get into a shooting groove knocking down some open jumpers. A spectacular dunk by Andre Igoudala drew the 3rd fould on Michael Redd with 7:59 to go, sending him to the bench. Mo Williams helped pick up the slack showing off his long range shooting abalities. A shock to the Sixers was former Maryland guard, Steve Blake, who scored 9 of his 11 points in the second quarter. The Bucks led 54-52 at the half.

The third quarter was much the same as the second except for the fact that Redd managed to not pick up his 4th foul. He dropped in 13 in the third while Allan Ray sparked Philly off the bench with 9. Milwaukee still led by 2 after 3, 83-81.

The fourth quarter was one truly to remember for everyone in attendance. With 4:55 to go in the game, Andre Igoudala sparked a 10-0 to pull the Sixers ahead by 5. Michael Redd countered with a monster 3 pointer and a layup to pull back even at 102. Carney threw down te above dunk with 1:00 to go giving the lead to Philly. Bogut choked badly and missed both free throws after being fouled, allowing the Sixers to cling to a 104-102 lead. With 30 seconds to go, Andre Miller hit a contested 3 pointer to secure the win. Allan Ray then went to the line to hit 4 free throws to hold off the comeback bid.

Hinrich Layup Upends Sixers
Bulls 110 76ers 107

The Bulls came out of the gates firing on all cylanders during the first quarter as the Sixers struggled from the field. At one point during the first, the Sixers missed a stunning 12 shots in a row! Ben Gordon dropped in 14 points as the Bulls built a 27-18 lead on 50% shooting from the floor. The hapless Sixers shot 31% from the floor and were lucky to be only down 9 points.

The second quarter was the complete reverse from the first allowing the Sixers to tie the game at 47 going into the half. Andre Igoudala and Andre Miller sparked a 12-0 run midway through the quarter to take a 2 point lead. Nocioni quickly counterd with a long jumper on his end to pull the game even. They traded baskets until the break.

The third quarter was a fairly boring affair with both teams keeping relative pace with each other. Philly led 74-70 after three quarters.
The fourth quarter started with a 9-0 Kyle Korver run on 2 three pointers and a and 1 layup. Chicago countered with an 11-2 run of thier own to cut the lead back down to a managable deficit. With a minute to go, Hinrich made a layup (shown above) to give the Bulls a two point lead. After a missed jumper by Igoudala and some free throws by the bulls, the score was 110-107 with 6 seconds to go. Korver missed a three at the buzzer to give the bulls the win.
