Late reply on that one, check the first post... I use the newest NLSC rosters that are from the end of last season.

I'm continuing this dynasty, since I got the urge to play Live 2004 again :P

Does anyone know how to make the Iverson-trade via dbf or something..?

I'm glad this is continuing. I just installed Live 2004 again, and I added you to my msn. So when you get the chance try and go on so you can send me your roster and other files.

Lakers work their way around the Raptors
Toronto collapses during the second half

Los Angeles Lakers 83-62 Toronto Raptors
( 13-18 , 25-15 , 23-15 , 22-14 )
[Lakers Boxscore][Raptors Boxscore]
Player Of The Game : Kobe Bryant (LAL) 19PTS, 1REB, 2BLK, 2AST

1st Half
Kobe Bryant obviously looked forward to meeting the Raptors and having another great game. Toronto however controlled the pace of the game from the start and a low scoring match was in the making. Morris Peterson controlled the Raptors' offense while the Lakers couldn't get the ball where they wanted it. Lakers started the second quarter by playing tighter defense and it payed off on both ends and gave Lakers the control. Bryant finished the first half with a clutch 20-footer.

2nd Half
Los Angeles opened the second half with a 8-0 streak and showed signs of dominance over the Raptors. Lamar Odom finally got his shot going while Chris Bosh had serious problems and finished with only four points in the whole game. Toronto missed wide open shots and easy situations under the basket so it came as no surprise that the Lakers took this one easily at the end.

Thanks for all the positive feedback. Surprisingly Live 2004 is still very fun when you ignore some of the biggest glitches.

hammertime23, I'm not very comfortable sending files over msnm. Do you have gmail? I mean I can send you my rosters of course but about 95% of my patches and all the most visible ones can still be downloaded @nbalive.org, now www.nbavg.org, every player, jersey patches etc.

Lakers win Bulls in shooting frenzy
Bulls miss too much shots, loose

Los Angeles Lakers 100-92 Chicago Bulls
( 21-31 , 35-23 , 26-18 , 18-20 )
[Lakers Boxscore][Bulls Boxscore]
Player Of The Game : Kobe Bryant (LAL) 25PTS, 3REB, 1BLK, 1AST

1st Half
Chicago opened the game riding on Ben Wallace's post presence on both ends getting easy baskets and preventing Lakers from doing the same. In the second quarter both teams traded baskets back and forth with nobody outdueling their defenders. Lakers capitalized on Bulls' misses and came on top at the half, with Bryant scoring last eight Lakers' points.

2nd Half
Both teams started the second half with poor shooting, especially the Bulls, which seemed determined to bring themselves back with three pointers. That plan backfired as the Lakers got on a 11-0 with lots of breakaways. Vladimir Radmanovic seemed to be the player Chicago should have had on their roster, since he answered to Bulls three point mortaring by sinking three straight threes during three straight possessions. Bryant took care of business late in the fourth when Bulls tried to make a comeback and that wrapped it.

Whats next for the Lakers?

The Lakers have started the season 6-2, which is good comparing it to last year. However, the team hasn't faced any major contenders like the Spurs or the Suns. The next game against the New Jersey Nets will be the first big test and it should show some signs of the Lakers' roster's strength.
Rumours say that Los Angeles has been active on the trade markets but so far there's no more info on that. What Lakers' could use is three point shooting and low-post scoring. They have enough youth so maybe the team could use some more leadership and experience.

One of the reasons I like 2004, is the 3D portraits.

Good job on these standings and other stuff (Y)

Lakers interested in Jermaine O'Neal

Image
Will there be another O'Neal-Bryant duo in LA?

There are rumours stating that the Lakers have been working on a deal that would bring Jermaine O'Neal to Los Angeles. Any additional details haven't been leaked. It seems that the Lakers would have to build the trade around Odom and other young guys to keep both sides interested.

Lakers to face Nets and Spurs at home.

ImageImage
It will be a tough task containing the likes of Vince Carter and Tim Duncan.

The Los Angeles Lakers face the New Jersey Nets and San Antonio Spurs at home. These games show indication whether the Lakers are going in the right direction with last summer's transactions. Both teams will come hard at the Lakers. The Nets are league-leading 7-1 and show no signs of slowing down, while the Spurs look to take lead for the Western Conference.

Lakers consistent, get the W

New Jersey Nets 88-104 Los Angeles Lakers
( 20-29 , 16-27 , 27-28 , 25-30 )
[Nets Boxscore][Lakers Boxscore]

1st Half
The Nets suffered a possible game deciding loss in the first two minutes, when Vince Carter injured his back and was out of the game. Richard Jefferson stepped up and scored 10 points in the first quarter. The Lakers played sloppy and Bryant started the game with many missed shots. The Lakers changed the game tempo in the second opening the quarter with a 14-0 run, which suffocated New Jersey's game. Jason Kidd was nowhere to be seen.

2nd Half
New Jersey tried double teaming downlow but that resulted in open shots for LA. It seemed like the Nets always left the wrong man open. Kobe Bryant and Lamar Odom took over. The New Jersey seemed to get themselves back into the game lead by Kidd but another Lakers run diminished any hopes of any late game comeback. Kobe Bryant continued to torch the Nets defense. Smush Parker also had a great fourth quarter on both ends.

Lakers trade for Haywood, sign free agent Wesley Person

ImageImageImageImage
Lakers added Haywood and Person to their roster, Wizards get Evans and Radmanovic

The Los Angeles Lakers have traded forward Vladimir Radmanovic and guard Maurice Evans to the Washington Wizards for center Brendan Haywood. The trade gives Lakers much needed post presence on defense and offense. He will now team up with Chris Mihm at the center position. Mihm hasn't been playing his best basketball this year, so the trade makes sense. What the Wizards will do with Evans and Radmanovic, we'll just have to wait and see.
Immediately after the trade was brought to public, the Lakers announced that they have signed free agent and veteran sharpshooter Wesley Person for a year. Person should bring veteran leadership and clutch three point shooting to the young squad.

Yea, well I traded my whole team around and tried about everybody and all I could come up was Haywood  Live 2004's trading logic sucks. Plus Radmanovic sucks anyway.
