This looks interesting...i look forward to seeing how these rookies perform for their respective teams..its too bad u couldnt have had the draft order like the real NBA one tho :? either way, good luck with Orlando, and keep us updated on how the other rooks do ;) (Y)

Fri Jun 16, 2006 1:04 pm

Wizard had a great draft Lemarcus Aldrige and Guillermo Diaz both awesome players

And the Spurs grabbed two big guys, Shelden Williams and Pops Mensah-Bonsu two steals with their low picks

Great Draft coverage (Y)

Fri Jun 16, 2006 1:06 pm

Wait...why did Denver draft Washington?
They already have Boykins and Miller :|
Well, good luck to Morrison in Orlando!(y)

Fri Jun 16, 2006 3:20 pm

Top stuff dude (Y)

Go Magic!!

Fri Jun 16, 2006 4:05 pm

Wow, I just saw this dynasty and it is looking awesome. You done the draft very nicely, even though I missed it. :x

Good luck with the Magic. (Y)

Fri Jun 16, 2006 4:24 pm

Just so you know, it's Magic, not Magics.

Fri Jun 16, 2006 7:11 pm

Post Draft Report:

Image
...with Stephen A. Smith

Winners of the Draft:

Toronto Raptors: Tyrus Thomas (#6), Richard Roby (#34)
New Orleans Hornets: Andrea Bargnani (#7), Daniel Gibson (#35), Rodney Carney (#22)
Orlando Magic: Adam Morrison (#9), Lior Eliahu (#39)
San Antonio Spurs: Shelden Williams (#24), Pops Mensah-Bonsu (#54)

Losers of the Draft:

Seattle Supersonics: Alexander Johnson (#5), Dee Brown (#32)
New York Knicks: Marcus Williams (#3)
Phoenix Suns: Marcus Vinicius (#12), Yotam Halperin (#44)

Champions of the Draft: Toronto Raptors

Toronto's luck is unbelievable. First they get Tyrus Thomas at the #7 pick
who could've easily gone top 3-5 and then they get Richard Roby in the
second round. Don't get me wrong about Richard, he isn't a franchise
player or anything, but he can easily be a great off the bench kind of
guy and to get him with the #34 pick is unbelievable.

Who Will Be Back On Top Next Year: Seattle Supersonics

Seattle must've seen something in Alexander Johnson when he was there.
But from what I've seen, Alexander is just another average bench guy.
No way Alex can average 10 Points and 10 Rebounds in his career. This
was a stupid pick by the Sonics who had the chance to pick up Adam
Morrison, Andrea Bargnani, and Tyrus Thomas. This pick made no sense
at all. Seattle already re-signed Chris Wilcox and already have two
young guys at the centre position. Just another GM mistake.

Rookie of the Year: Adam Morrison

Best Player In the Future: Rudy Gay

Mr. Bust of the Class: Alexander Johnson

Sleeper: Shawne Williams

The Eastern Conference

Atlantic Division:
Toronto
Boston
New York
New Jersey
Philadelphia

The Atlantic Division was the laughing stock of the year last season. This
season will be a whole different story. Toronto and Boston have improved
their teams and are playoff contenders. We might be able to see 3 to 4
Atlantic Division teams in the playoffs this year.

Division Kings: Raptors
Division Queens: New York

Central Division:
Chicago
Cleveland
Detriot
Indiana
Milwaukee

The strongest division last season. All these teams made the playoffs last
year. This year, Indiana may fall out of the playoff picture. Cleveland
has a great chance to overrun the Pistons and win the division. Chicago
got their floor leader in Brandon Roy, but still haven't solved their big
man problem. This may knock them out of the picture.

Division Kings: Cleveland
Division Queens: Indiana

Southeast Division:
Atlanta
Charlotte
Miami
Washington
Orlando

This where you can find the young blood and the future of the NBA.
Atlanta, Charlotte, and Orlando got some significant additions to their
teams this offseason and may have a chance to sneak into the playoffs.
Miami has a gaurenteed top seed in the playoffs with Wade and an
upcoming star in Dorell Wright.

Division Kings: Miami
Division Queens: Charlotte

The Western Conference

Pacific Division:
Golden State
L.A. Clippers
L.A. Lakers
Phoenix
Sacramento

It's going to be a big year for the Pacific Division. Golden State is coming
back from an injury proned season. L.A. teams are up there. Clippers
lost Sam Cassell in the offseason and can affect their winnings this season.
The man-child is back and ready to jam it down on anybody. Phoenix
is going to be a team to look out for. K-Mart went out of business in Denver
but found a home in Sacramento. Sacramento can possibly be the best
defensive team.

Division Kings: Phoenix
Division Queens: Golden State

Northwest Division:
Denver
Minnesota
Portland
Seattle
Utah

The Northwest had a terrible showing last season and look like they're
going to have an instant replay this year. Denver downgraded by losing
K-Mart. Minnesota is still in dream world. Portland.... well it's Portland,
no one knows what to expect from them. Utah is the only team that
has a chance to bag a playoff seed.

Division Kings: Utah
Division Queens: Portland

Southwest Division:
Dallas
Houston
Memphis
San Antonio
New Orleans

The Southwest is hands down the best Division in the league today. Memphis
got a huge boost on the offensive end by aquiring Peja. Houston got the
SG they want. New Orleans did an amazing job at the draft. Dallas and
San Antonio don't need anymore improvements, but San Antonio still finds
a way to get better by drafting Shelden Williams and Dallas adds a young
gun in Shawne Williams.

Division Kings: Dallas
Division Queens: ????

Projected Playoffs:

East:
1. Cleveland
2. Miami
3. Toronto
4. Detriot
5. Milwaukee
6. Boston
7. New Jersey
8. Orlando

West:
1. Dallas
2. Phoenix
3. Utah
4. San Antonio
5. Houston
6. Sacramento
7. Memphis
8. L.A. Lakers

October 15, 2006

After a hard 2 months of training in the gym, it's time for some reports
on improving players.

D. Howard - A+

- Dominates the post
- Rebounding Machine
- Gets more offensive rebounds than defensive rebounds
- Pure power
- Can slam it down over ANYONE in the NBA
- Speed and Quickness got a boost in the offseason too
- Still a mediocore freethrow shooter
- No finese in the paint, just relies on power
- Defensive presence in the paint

D. Milicic - B

- Blocking machine
- Rebounding beast
- Good mid range shot
- Strong enough to gaurd the centers of the league
- Good defensive awareness
- Won't foul out in 10 minutes of playing time
- Offence is still unpolished
- More of a garbage man

Adam Morrison - B+

- Great scorer
- Can shoot from anywhere on the court
- Injuries are much of a problem so far
- Speed and quickness is at a "OK" level
- 1 on 1 defence still needs a lot of work
- Would be a good safety in football
- Has a good combination of outside and inside game.

Jameer Nelson - B

- Improved ballhandling ability
- Great pass first PG
- Super quick
- Didn't grow too much in the offseason
- Shot still needs work
- Scoring isn't a problem
- Good strength for his size
- Injuries may put him on the sideline during the season

Impact Bench Players: Deshawn Stevenson and Grant Hill

Season Opener On October 29, 2006 ---> DONT MISS IT!

Sat Jun 17, 2006 8:52 pm

Nice nice ... looking forward to your first game.
You put a lot of trust in your rookie, kinda insulting for Grant Hill that you dont play with turkey-glue at the two guard and him at the Smaller Forward.

Hope you are successfull
