Cavaliers vs 76ers

Image

First quarter
The 76ers started off pretty well building a 5 point advantage, mostly fueled by rookie point guard Louis Williams. But three minutes into the quarter, Williams collided under the basket with Eddie Griffin and came down hard on his left ankle. He left the game. 21-19 Philadelphia at the end of the first.
Image

Second quarter
Another fairly even quarter, Willie Green stepped in for inured Williams and scored all 8 of his points in the second. Williams returned late in the second quarter. 76ers by 1 at the break.

Third quarter

Another close quarter, but Cleveland outscored Philadelphia by 1 for the second straight....

Fourth quarter
Cleveland pulled another fantastic fourth quarter out of their hats, outscoring the 76ers 33-20 in the final period. Lebron scored an incredible 45 points for the Cavs, and Keith Van Horn pitched in 19 off the bench. Fans got their first peek at rookie Albert Craft, who scored 5 points in 5 minutes.

Coach Mike Brown:

"We used a slightly different rotation tonight that had Keith playing alot of minutes at forward, and Eddie (Griffin) and Donyell (Marshall) splitting time at center. We thought it worked pretty well and might try it again."

The winning streak is three... the record is 3-0.... what can stop Lebron and his Cavaliers?

Yeah, I've been experimenting with different quarter lengths and sliders, not sure what I want to do yet.
LeBron's looking very dominant with a great all around performance against the Jazz.

He sure has, and I'm having a blast. Thanks for the comments. Hope you enjoy the new game.

Wow LeBron had a beastly game

20-30 is like 75%!!! Nice recap man and keep it up. Good to see another dynasty from you. (Y)

Toni Kukoc shooting 0-6 in 4 minutes? He's cut.

Good stuff starting Eddie, he'll be able to replace Marshall when he gets a few more years on him because they play almost an identical style except Griffin is more of a shotblocker.

I'm happy for Louis Williams. He was one of my favourites in the 05 draft and I'm glad that he's finally starting. Who knows, maybe he can even replace Iverson later on.

Haha yeah, but 3 or 4 of them were from the goddamned pinball game we like to call offensive rebounding. :?

^I also forgot to comment on that.

Good that you enjoying playing this. Good first wins
LeBron was awesome against Philly, but what's wrong with Varejao? Only 2 rebs and 0 points.

donyell at center. that shouldnt work, but hey it does.

First time reading this, LOL at the Shaq Steve trade. Nice presentation and good 3-0 start. You abused the Bobcats' salary cap with the Ilgauskas trade.

and Varejao is God....

This is nice Don, keep it going I want to see more. Loui Cotton for ROY :headbang:

Another dominating performance by LeBron and a win, congrats! Is Williams expected to miss any time?

Cavaliers vs Nets

Image

First quarter
The first quarter was owned by Nazr Mohammed. He scored 10 in the period (13 of his 15 were in the first half) and grabbed all 5 of his total rebounds in the first. Lebron was quiet and only had 4 points in the first quarter. Vince Carter had a very strong game, and started it off with 10 points in the quarter.
Image

Second quarter
Lebron had another tough quarter, again only scoring 4 (brining his first half total to only 8 points). Mohammed's production fell off to nothing after his great first quarter. Kidd and Carter took over as the Nets outscored the cavs by 8 in the quarter. Halftime score: Nets 45, Cavs 43

Players at the half:

Third quarter

Lebron still couldn't find his magic in the third, scoring only six points. But he nabbed 2 steals in the quarter. New Jersey outscored Cleveland by 8 again in the third- they led 72-64 heading into the final period.

Fourth quarter
Down by 8, the Cavs weren't about to give up on the chance to start the season with a 4-game winning streak. Lebron found his touch and scored 13 in the final period, nabbing 2 more steals as well. Toni Kukoc came in and scored 8 clutch points in the fourth, but it wouldn't be enough. The Cavs got their first loss of the season, falling 3 points short.

Coach Mike Brown:

"Well it had to happen sometime. I'm not saying I'm glad we lost, of course not. But it will be nice to not have that added pressure. Don't worry, we're not done putting tallies in the 'W' column quite yet."

By Williams, u mean Green?

That's what happens when you don't play Varejao... you lose...

No, he meant the rookie Williams that's talked about quite a bit in the 76ers game recap. And no, Andrew... he returned to action pretty quickly, wasn't too serious I guess ;)

Apparently so! Fear the fluffyhead. I'll be sure and put him back in next game. ;)

((As you can see, Lebron is leading the league in points-per-game through the first four games, he's also tied for 8th in steals-per-game. Eddie Griffin tied for second on blocks. I'm quite pleased.))

Tough loss but I was expecting for you to lose  I hate dynasties with a 25-4 record... keep it realistic (Y)

Tough loss. I llike your rookies, they look cool 8-)

Then hopefully you like mine. :D

Tough loss, Kidd with only 5 assists? Nice job on your part containing him, sort of.

Trade the fluffyhead

I just noticed that I have about 3.5 mil sitting in cap space. Do you guys think that I should maybe look into signing an atheltic or shooting guard/combo guard? If I have the cap space I might as well bring in some insurace- that's what I'm thinking anyway. Pavlovic isn't exactly my style.

Advice? (Please give actual answers, no "I dunno" spam. I know I'm asking for it there, totally. If you "I dunno" spam... I'll delete it, bitches. )

edit:

Options:

Sam Cassell- He's sitting there as a FA.. but he wants a bit more than I can offer. I could pull another 'free up some cap room' trade, but I don't know if I want to do that again.

Wesley Person- seeking a 1 year. His shooting ratings are mid 80s. 65 overall.

Tony Delk- 2yr. I'm hesitant with the 2 years.

Voshon Lenard- 2yr. Same deal, I don't want 2 years of him.

Maurice Evans, Salim Stoudamire, Daniel Ewing, Kerry Kittles... there's a few other options as well.

edit again: I kind of forgot that I have Donta Smith (sg) sitting on the IR. I've swapped him and Pavlovic for the next game, we'll see how it goes. I'd still like input on the FA possibilities, though. (Y)

Sat Jun 03, 2006 12:57 pm

i say try signing cassel with what u have and if he doesnt accept it then you could pull of one of those 'free up some cap room' trades. If cassel doesnt accept and u dont want to do the 'free up some cap room' trade then sign Wesly Person, Maurice Evans, Salim Stoudamire. Those are also some quality SG in my opinion, but try to get cassel first.

Sat Jun 03, 2006 1:02 pm

Get Daniel Ewing. The kids got game and he really young. Quick guard for a team and could distibute the ball to King Bronald.

Sat Jun 03, 2006 2:56 pm

Maybe try to rebound better, oftenly you lose the rebounding battle to your opponents...

Sat Jun 03, 2006 3:03 pm

Cheat a lil bit, try siging a few of them that u like, sim forward and see how they do!
