Kobe fires up late to get the win...

Kobe fired up late with fast points to get the win…
After an amazing defensive playing in the beginning of the game and with a 14-0 run, Lakers started struggling till they lost the lead. Mihm was outstanding in blocks while blocking 4 in the first of his 6. Lamar and Andrew Bynum managed to bring the lead back till the end of the quarter. Bynum had his best game while scoring all of his 10 points in the first. Lakers were playing great, but not enough to extend the lead. They lost it and struggled a bit. Then in the third both of teams were playing very even and scored the same amount of points. Walton, Odom and Parker were playing for the whole team, while Kobe was playing alone in the last quarter. He scored many shot and fired up late with 6 points in 32 seconds. Indiana was fouling, but It didn’t help because the Lakers were hitting everything then.

Early, but big deals...

Today Mitch Kuptchak called a very important press-conference for an announcement to make.

M.Kuptchak(GM LA):"Today is a marked day for the Lakers, because we have achieved a deal with three teams. Atlanta Hawks, Charlotte Bobcats and Golden State Warriors. The first deal was a three team deal with Charllote and Atlanta. We sent Kwame Brown to Atlanta, Atlanta sents Al Harrington to Charllote, Charllote sents Raymond Felton to LA. The second deal with the Warriors, was all about these two players Smush Parker(LAL) and Ike Diogu(GSW)."

P.Jackson(head coach LA):"I`m happy about our new players, and I would like to say that what we did was improvement. That's my short talk, now press agents are allowed to ask questions.
Press agent: What were the reasons of this trade?
P.J: There are a few reasons. At first Kwame Brown and Smush Parker both gave us a statement that they want to leave the team, because of it's current playing situation. They ment that they don't like to run the offense all around Kobe. Secondly we wanted to normalize our salary cap and to get a succesful and full of potencial rookie to achieve more awards and have a bright future.
PA: What can you say about your new players?
P.J: I like them very much. They're both rookies, but still they are going to be in the starting 5. They have big potential and I really like their playing style. Raymond was in a bad situation in Charllote because he was in the shadow of Brevin Knight, now he's in the starting five.
PA: What can you say about B.C.T. will the rookies be able to run that play?
P.J: Well they still need a lot of work to do so don't expect them to play as the real proffessional do. In time we will be teaching them and they will be learning so one day we're going to run the perfect play.
P.J: Thank you for your time and questions, we hope that the Lakers will improve after this trade as much as they can.

Portland showed they never give up. The beginning of the game was poor for Blazers. Lakers attacked successfully and fast. They crushed Blazers with their defense and they couldn’t do anything at it. Ike Diogu got 3 of his 6 blocks in the first quarter, it was amazing. Felton was playing good, but attempted too many three’s. At the middle of the quarter Portland woke up and started reviving. They fired up and nailed the gap to 3 points. Then nailed a three and an easy two. They took the lead, but Lamar nailed a three and dunked with power to end the quarter in Lakers’ favor. At the second, Blazers showed a whole different game by taking the lead from the Lakers’ and holding it till the end of the quarter. In the third Lakers fired up to get back the lead and extended it. They didn’t want to give up. Kobe showed a really great performance. Lamar was the clutch and the end of the last quarter. He nailed 7 points in the last minutes to take the lead and the win…

Lakers’ problems continue, but they manage to escape from Bobcats’ claws. The beginning was great for the Lakers’ they won the first quarter by the result 35:23. They were shooting in a high % and playing great defense. Felton dished 4 of his 7 assists in the first. Then in the second Lakers’ played slower and not as successful like in the first. Still they lost it only by two points. In the third, they couldn’t score points till the mid of the quarter. Bynum and Felton started reviving the team, but Lamar and Kobe finished the job. Then in the last, they had major problems. They took too many contested shots and attempted too many individual attacks. Weren’t passing a lot and missed great chance opportunities. While Lakers’ were sleeping Bobcats were narrowing the gap and tried to take the lead. But they were unsuccessful. Kobe and Lamar teamed up and scored 5 points in the last 30 secs to get back the lead and take the win.
