New Orleans play their first home game of the season
The Sacramento Kings travel to New Orleans to verse the Hornets after the Hornets opening game loss.
Starting Line-Ups
Key Match-Up
Chris Paul vs. Mike Bibby
Which one of these guys will lead their team to success tonight.
1st Quarter
The Hornets began the game beautifully as they were rebounding the missed shots and capitalizing on the offensive end. The whole Hornets starting line-up had at least made one basket but they were only ahead by 4 points because they continued to make some mistakes. The Hornets defence stepped up a level as they began making some huge blocks but the Kings still managed to take a 1 point lead. Some more great defence from Chris Anderson helped the Hornets retain a 3 point lead but more mistakes led to the loss of the lead. The Hornets fouled a guy shooting for 3 twice in a row which gave up 6 points as the Kings ended the quarter ahead 28-23.
2nd Quarter
The quarter started with both teams playing strongly then the Hornets brought on Macijauskas and he inspired his team into making a comeback. The Hornets kept attacking at the Kings lead as Chris Paul got into foul trouble. The Hornets began to struggle on the rebounds and the Kings took advantage of this (STUPID EA AND THEIR SHIT OFFENSIVE REBOUNDS) but the Kings only managed a slight extension of the lead. J.R. Smith missed a buzzer beating dunk as the Kings finished the half ahead 51-46.

3rd Quarter
The Hornets big 2 started going crazy as PJ Brown and Jamal Magloire scored 5 points in a row to even up the scores at 51 a piece. The Hornets began to rebound strongly but they JUST COULDN'T SCORE! J.R. Smith did manage to score to even the scores up again then Shareef made an adjusted shot plus the and 1 and that was CP3's 4th Personal. Some more awesome defence and offence leveled the scores at 57 a piece then a J.R. Smith 3 pointer gave the Hornets the lead that they deserve. The Kings scored a basket so Byron Scott called a timeout so he could rest J.R. Smith. The Kings somehow lost the lead so another timeout was called and J.R. Smith was put back on the floor. J.R. Smith of course delivered with a shotclock buzzer beating 3 pointer to regain a 1 point lead. The Kings managed to score as they ended the quarter ahead 68-67.
4th Quarter
The Kings extended their lead to 7 points so the Hornets called a timeout to bring in their best 5. The Kings had a lead of 8 point with 4:25 to go so the Kings called a timeout and Byron Scott put Birdman in the line-up for defensive stops and Macijauskas for the shooting. The Hornets then scored 7 points in a row, including 2 3s from Macijauskas to reduce the deficit to 7 with 2:14 to go. Some more great defence and offence reduced the deficit to 4 points with 1:20 to go. Birdman stole the ball which saw Magloire on the fast break and then the lead was cut down to 2 points with 1:03 to go. Peja scored with 55 seconds to go so the Hornets called a timeout. The Hornets missed shots and the Kings extended their lead to 7 points as the Hornets' time had ran out. The Kings took this game 102-95.

Igor Skrnjug was pleased with the performances of J.R. Smith and Arvydas Macijauskas and was also glad that Magloire and PJ Brown stepped up their inside game and rebounding.
Igor Skrnjug also announced that David West has been traded to the San Antonio Spurs for
Beno Udrih. This gives the Hornets a deeper Point Guard rotation and much needed help for Chris Paul at the point. Beno Udrih will not be able to make it to tomorow's game against the Houston Rockets so the Hornets have activated Rafael Araujo off the IR until Beno Udrih arrives.
Enjoy, i was sooo close, Jugs.
