The Cleveland Cavaliers will face the Detroit Pistons next, on Tuesday November 8 at 7:00. It will take place in Detroit, Michigan at none other than The Palace. The Detroit Pistons' current record is 2-1, they are coming off some huge wins over the Washington Wizards and the Denver Nuggets, as the Cleveland Cavaliers' is 2-0, beating Atlanta and Milwaukee. Tonights key matchup will be between Larry Hughes and Rip Hamilton. Both are having pretty good seasons but it is still way to early to be able to tell anything. Hughes is currently averaging 24.0 PPG and Hamilton is averaging 23.7 PPG, both neck and neck in that category. We are about to go live in Detroit where tipoff is just about an hour away, this should turn out to be a wonderful and exciting matchup.

This game has been hyped up for a long time now, and fans of both teams have been waiting and waiting on the matchup to happen and now it is, the first quarter of play was nothing less than what people expected. Both teams started out hot and remained hot the whole period. It doesnt seem that the Cleveland Cavaliers were able to stop anything the Pistons did but they made up for it by knocking down J's and finding the right shots to keep it close. Detroit had two players with 9 points at the end of the period, Rasheed Wallace and Chauncey Billups. Cleveland usually allows the point guard of the other team to do some damage to them in the first quarter of play but they have been able to partially contain Billups for the time being. The Detroit Pistons have a 1 point lead going into the 2nd quarter, (28-27).

The Cleveland Cavaliers were actually able to get ahead by a point for a few seconds but soon after that, the Detroit Pistons went on a tear and scored 8 straight points, in 1 minute and 20 seconds they had a 7 point lead. Still both teams going back and forth, either hitting it from down town maybe once or twice or driving to the basket at will, expecting the foul but hoping for "And 1". LeBron James finished the first half of play with 15 points, and Larry Hughes close behind with 14 points. Rasheed Wallace took control for his Pistons and ended up with 17 points at halftime. Even though Detroit has a 3 point lead at halftime, (49-46), I wouldnt just count on a garuntee made by Rasheed this time.

Look out Drew Gooden because Donyell Marshall is about to take that starting position at Power Forward. Marshall came into the 2nd half like he has the past games, just to see which player (Gooden-Marshall) will win the starting job. Gooden did go 100% from the field but he only shot one shot, and Donyell came in and made four straight baskets, 8 points, which helped greatly in Cleveland's 2 points lead going into the final period of play. Rasheed Wallace remained untouched as he just plowed over the Cleveland post players at will, and did exactly whatever he wanted to do.

It did come down to the wire, literaly the very end. 16.8 seconds left on the clock, and Donyell Marshall throws up a 12 foot jumper, swish. The Cleveland Cavaliers have a 97-96 lead with 11.3 left on the clock. Little mistakes have big consequences, just ask Zydrunas Ilgauskas. He forgot to get back and cover his man, Ben Wallace, which was wide open for the long pass and the SLAM!! Damon Jones takes the ball down court and throws up a prayer, but no, its bricks off of the right side of the rim, and the Detroit Pistons are the winner, 98-97.

Overview: What can you say about either of these teams, I mean we all know that the Cleveland Cavaliers could not go all season without a loss, and maybe its better to get it over with instead of getting upset late in the playoffs. The Detroit Pistons are a definent force to be reckoned with, and they proved that tonight against the hot Cavaliers. LeBron continued to average his 30 points per game, and Larry Hughes knocked down 20 of his own points. But, the big surprise was none other than Mr. Donyell Marshall. He came in for only 2 quarters and still managed to drop 18 points, compared to Drew Gooden's 2 points. There will be a decision made within the next few days, before the Cleveland Cavaliers' next game, as to who gets the position, Gooden of Marshall. Back to the Pistons, there is no doubt in my mind that they will make in to the Conference Finals where more than likely they will meet up with the Cavaliers, that would be one heck of a series of basketball. Cleveland still has a chance to pay them back though as they play Detroit one more time this season at home.
LeBron James: 30 points

No thats about the only thing unrealistic, and that some teams have played 7 or 8 games and I have only played 3, so the total amounts stats I am not in much, but the averages are pretty realistic, I am going to update standings and stats etc. at the end of each month, after the first month anyways and then after that I may do it twice a month, in the middle and the end. In my Detroit dynasty for 05' I had both Wallaces averaging 7 blocks a game  but Ilgauskas is the highest with 3 a game, he leads the league right now, and yes I am happy I have realistic scores now :P

Thanks everyone for the kind comments and I appreciate you all following my dynasty (Y) and I hope more will check it out too...

The Cleveland Cavaliers will face the Phoenix Suns on Sunday November 13, 2005. Coverage will begin at 4:00 ET live from Phoenix, Arizona. Amare Stoudemire is one of the top Power Forwards in the league now, and it will take a lot to stop him. You saw what Rasheed Wallace did to the Cavaliers and Stoudemire is a lot better player than him, just look at the stats. Donyell Marshall received some good news a few days after the loss to the Detroit Pistons, he is now the starting Power Forward for the Cleveland Cavaliers. We will see just how good of a player he is once him and Amare go head to head down low in the paint. The Cavaliers are currently 2-1 and place 4th in the Eastern Conference, while Phoenix stands at 4-1 and are 4th in the entire league. It should be a great matchup .

Hehe, finally Donny is getting some recognition. I hope Marshall plays well for you, because he IS a former Raptor and I'd expect nothing better than a double-double every game. In my opinion he's one of the most underrated players in the NBA.

If you get the NBA dictionary and look up the 2005 Phoenix Suns you will see the word "wow". Phoenix totally destroyed the Cleveland Cavaliers defense right at tip off. LeBron drives to the goal and gets blocked, from then on the Suns went on a 7-0 run in about 45 seconds. Two 3-point plays and a single freethrow. Phoenix was up 17-7 about halfway through the 1st quarter of play. At the end of the period, the Phoenix Suns had the lead 24-16, the Cavs were still in the game but by barely.

The 2nd quarter of play was nothing different than what Phoenix did in the first. It seemed like there wasnt even a break between periods because the Suns kept on dominating. Shawn Marion was no doubt the player of the half for the Suns, he only dropped 8 points but also had 10 rebound to go along with that. LeBron scored 13 points in the first half and Donyell Marshall showed how grateful he was for the starting position by knocking down a few jumpers for 10 points. Phoenix still lead though going into the locker-room, (50-45).

Every game this year, the Cleveland Cavaliers have gone into the fourth quarter in a close game, so its not surprise here. The big problem for Cleveland would be giving up offensive rebounds, the Suns have gotten second chance points all night long. The Cavaliers can go home after this one and look up the word, or excuse me two words, "Block-out" because they are definently not doing that. Amare Stoudemire continues to dominate down low and there is nothing the Cavs can do about it. Phoenix goes into the fourth and final quarter with a 5 point lead, (70-65).

Wow what a quarter of play right there ladies and gentleman, I love watching both of these teams play each other, I know they gave the crowd their moneys worth by far. Phoenix had control of the lead the entire game until Cleveland went on a big run. The Cavs only had the lead for a few minutes and it was only by two points. Phoenix would take the lead back, and then Cleveland would do the same. Picture this... 17 seconds left in the game and Jimmy Jackson has the ball in the corner. He dribbles around to cut some time off of the clock and then at about 8 seconds left he drives to the bucket. He gets past his defender and throws up a double-clutch shot, but Zydrunas Ilgauskas is there to meet him at about the block in the paint. Ilgauskas is an Inside Stopper so you are thinking block city right? Well wrong, Jackson gets the shot off and draws the foul, he also hits the freethrow. So 5.5 seconds left and the Suns have a 94-91 lead. Cleveland calls the timeout and takes the ball out form halfcourt. Into Damon Jones who fakes left and goes right, hes at the top of the key, pops the jumper, and... nothing but the bottom of the net. Well theres .4 left on the clock and Phoenix misses the buzzer beater, its Overtime.

Stupid mistakes, stupid mistakes, stupid mistakes is more than likely what the Cleveland Cavaliers' Head Coach was saying in the locker room after this Overtime game. Clevelands' Damon Jones hit 3 three point field goals in a row to almost promise them the game late in the extra period but luck prevailed for the Phoenix Suns. They actually didnt have to do much because everything was handed to them in a frickin' silver platter. The Cavs continued to "not" Block out and they threw away the ball a few times which caused them the game. The game ends 109-107, with the Phoenix Suns getting one more added to the Win Column.

Overview: The Phoenix Suns have a lot in common with the Detroit Pistons. If the Cleveland Cavaliers dont make it to the Finals then it will more than likely be the Pistons in the East, and the Suns have a great chance in the West. Pretty much the only team they need to worry about would be the San Antonio Spurs who have the same record. Steve Nash may be Commander in Chief when it comes to the Suns but Amare Stoudemire is close behind a Lieutenant Colonel. They will be a very hard team to beat, and any team who does show has every right to brag.
LeBron James: 31 points
Donyell Marshall: 26 points -- 12 rebounds
Larry Hughes: 23 points

CLEVELAND, OHThe American Dairy Association and Cavaliers forward Drew Gooden hosted children and teachers from Cleveland’s East End Neighborhood House for a very special breakfast. Drew spoke to the kids about drinking milk and eating healthy as part of the American Dairy Association’s “3 A Day of Dairy: Milk, Cheese, Yogurt” program.

During the breakfast, Drew signed autographs, posed for pictures and joined everyone for a healthy breakfast including omelets, fruit, bagels and of course, milk. Drew shared with the kids that his love of milk included chocolate milk, and that milk strongly contributed to his growth and development as a NBA player. He also said he enjoys many flavors of ice cream and let all the kids know that July just happened to be National Ice Cream month.

Since arriving in Cleveland, Drew has developed a strong relationship with East End Neighborhood House through the organization’s Head Start and youth and family services programs. Last season, he bought a new furnace for the East End House and donated coats from the Drew Gooden and Eric Snow Coat Drive. In August, as part of the Cavaliers Read To Achieve Program, he will dedicate the Drew Gooden East End Reading & Learning Center

The Cleveland Cavaliers will face the Sacramento Kings on Tuesday November 15, 2005. Coverage will begin at 7:30 ET live from Cleveland, Ohio. Mike Bibby is the heart and sole of the Sacramento Kings, and has been for awhile now. While Peja Stojakovic brings the fire power that the team has, Peja is not what you would call having leadership characteristics. Damon Jones is having a great season this year during his first year as a Cleveland Cavalier. It should be a great matchup between him and Bibby. The Sacramento Kings have added even more firepower to their roster this season with the additions of Shareef Abdur-Raheem and Bonzi Wells. The have a great frontcourt and should have a pretty decent record this year. The Cavs are bouncing off two straight losses in a row, to Detroit and Phoenix, so they are trying to get back on the winning track. .

The Cavaliers finally play their first game at home this season and the crowd was estatic! You could hardly hear the announcer during the starting lineups, and they remained screaming and chanting through most of the quarter. Peja Stojakovic shot perfect in the first period of play, knocking down two 3-pointers and a duece for 8 points. Bibby did a great job driving to the whole and drawing a few fouls for some easy freethrows, and he also dropped a few J's, also for 8 points. It was pretty well equaled out on Cleveland's side, there was noone who can take the credit for the 3 point lead going into the 2nd quarter, (21-18).

This was a very low scoring half for the Cleveland Cavaliers as they have usually averaged close to 50 points in the first half of their games, they only managed to score 35 this time. The second quarter was not what you would call a great period for the Cavs, they shot very poorly and there they went again making those stupid mistakes. Not blocking out and throwing up bad shots. All they need to do is keep their heads in the game and hit the open guy for the shot instead of trying to force things. Mike Bibby had a great half with 19 points, and Peja Stojakovic had 14 of his own. LeBron James was the leading scorer for the Cavs with 14 points, but thats no surprise is it? The Sacramento Kings go into the locker-room with an 8 point lead, (43-35).

The Cleveland Cavaliers must have received a very inspirational speech from their head coach because they came into the second half like there was no tomorrow, hitting jumpers and driving the the basket at will, drawing a few fouls and knocking down their opponent at the same time. LeBron James had some pretty spectacular dunks, including one "completely" over Brad Miller. Mike Bibby also remained a little steamy from the first half and hit a few shots to keep the Kings close. Peja did not shoot much but when he did, it went in. The Cleveland Cavaliers go into the fourth and final quarter with a 4 point lead, (66-62).

You could easily say that this was the best half of basketball that the Cleveland Cavaliers have played this season, so far. They had a huge collapse in the first half and picked it up when the 3rd quarter started. LeBron James led an aerial attack of dunks, and jumpers to give the Cavs a huge lead. He couldnt do it alone though, because Damon Jones was knocking down three pointers like nada. Larry Hughes had a pretty productive 3rd quarter and quieted down in the fourth. Mike Bibby was the lead scoring man for the Sacramento Kings but it was not enough to overcome Cleveland as the Cavs win their home opener by 20 points, (94-74).

Overview: Hasn't the Sacramento Kings nearly always been known as a fast break team? Well the must have just ran out of steam in the final quarter. The led pretty much the entire game until crunch time came along and they had their lead taken away from them, or better yet just handed it to the Cavs. Things such as getting back after they scored, and not allowing easy baskets like they did. The Cavs on the other hand did everything right in the second half of play that they failed to do in the first half. But still if Sacramento is able to keep their amazing clutch shooting down pat for the rest of the season they will definently contend for a playoff spot, and maybe even an NBA Title. It all depends on Bibby and Peja because without them this team would be no team.

The Cleveland Cavaliers after there first home game this season will already go back on the road, this time to face the Philadelphia 76ers. The Cavaliers are having a decent season so far and hope to continue this. The 76ers arent doing too terribly bad, with a 4-3 record this year. They are lead by superstar Allen Iverson, which will go up against Larry Hughes tonight in our Key Matchups of the Game. Hughes is having his best season probably ever. Iverson is putting up some great numbers also, almost averaging 30 PPG. This looks to be a great matchup. .

That was an exciting period to watch right there. A lot of fancy moves and highlight dunks to get the game underway in the first quarter of play. LeBron led that way with 4 huge dunks, 3 on fast break, to give him 8 points. Kyle Korver hit a few fancy lay-ups and a 3 pointer in Damon Jone's eye for a 9 point quarter. Iverson was pretty quiet out there, not doing too much damage, and Webber, well you couldnt even tell he was on the floor. He might have touched it one time in the whole quarter. Cleveland takes a 3 points lead going into the 2nd, (22-19).

The Cleveland Cavaliers held the Philadelphia 76ers to a low scoring half, but they also didnt score as money as they usually do theirselves. LeBron led the way once again with 14 points and 7 assits in the first half alone. Kyle Korver also dropped 14 points as he was the 76ers leader in the first half of play. Larry Hughes was pretty strong knocking down 12 points, and on the other side Samuel Dalembert had 8 points and 6 rebounds. Cleveland is remaining to hold off Philly but how long can they do it? We'll see in the next half as the Cavs go into the locker-room with a 4 point lead, (44-40).

Bad news for the Cavaliers in the 3rd quarter involving LeBron James. Haha you all thought he was injured didnt you? Well no he gets into major foul trouble very early in the 2nd half of play, with 5. He is forced to sit down and not return until the fourth period. After his departure the 76ers took advantage by taking at one time a 9 point lead. But, that wasnt how it was going to be while Bron Bron was out. Cleveland was going to show they dont rely on James every minute of the game, and they did so by making a spectacular comeback. Philadelphia goes into the fourth quarter with the lead, but dont worry LeBron will be back on out the floor, but for how long? (66-62).

Well LeBron played very careful defense in the fourth quarter, to make sure he would stay in the game the entire time. Not only did he get a few key steals but he also knocked down 12 points. That was just about enough to seal the vicotry for the Cleveland Cavaliers. Allen Iverson went on a scoring tear of his own in the final quarter of play by dropping 12 points, all of them off of 3 pointers, four 3's. Donyell Marshall had another great game with 18 points and 10 rebounds, and it doesnt look like Drew Gooden will be getting his spot back anytime soon, that is unles he starts getting triple-doubles haha. The Cleveland Cavaliers walk about from this one with a 5 point victory, (98-93).

Overview: Everyone knows that since the 2001 season, the Philadelphia 76ers have not been the same. They havent had the greatest of seasons, and their playoffs dreams were not always met. Well even though they are standing at a measly 4-4 now after tonights' game, you better watch out for them. They have the word playoffs on their mind and they will do anything to get there. Allen Iverson scored 29 points tonight, and he was followed closely behind by Korver who had 18 points. Samuel Dalembert had a very productive game with 17 points and 12 rebounds. The Cleveland Cavaliers continue to do their thing. LeBron James scored 32 points and along with that an amazing 12 assits. Now that isnt stingy basketball, he is truely a superstar. Ilgauskas and Marshall both scored 18 points but Marhall also had 10 rebounds to go along with it.
