.LA.: I already played 3 games (will come in this days), I didn't get him I will do it in a trade or in the offseason.

Meh, don't sweat it man. Reggie Evans and Danny Fortson was a tremendous deal and will make up for not getting Stro' (IMO). Having a solid bench is important. Nice job. Looking forward to the start of the season, man. I think this could become one of the top Dynasty's here. Good luck, I will def. be checking it out.

Led by Yao's 26, Rockets swamp Kings

HOUSTON (AP) --- Yao Ming scored 26 points and grabbed 10 rebounds as the Houston Rockets defeated the Sacramento Kings, 122-118.

Tracy McGrady added 21 and 7.

"Yao and Tracy were playing a great game and doing their job," Jeff Van Gundy said.

Acquired hours ago with Danny Fortson, Reggie Evans finished with 14 points and 12 rebounds, shooting 6-11 from the floor in 34 minutes.

Head scored 10 points in the fourth quarter and converted 2 of 3 free throws in the final minute.

Mike Bibby led the game in scoring with 39 and six assists; Peja Stojakovic added 20 points, and Cuttino Mobley had 15.

Bibby and Brad Miller opened the last quarter with a couple of quick scores. McGrady and Mike James then nailed back-to-back 3s, sending the crowd into a frenzy.

"We showed character in the way we came back," McGrady said. "We played hard; even when we were missing, we didn't hold our heads."

"One thing I love about Tracy is he's got courage," Van Gundy added.

Rookies Luther Head and Francisco Garcia added 13 and 2 points for his respective teams.

Evans leads rebounds in 2nd win

HOUSTON (AP) --- Reggie Evans scored 12 points and grabbed 17 rebounds to help the Houston Rockets win against the Indiana Pacers, 104-96.

All Evans' 12 points were when Jermaine O'Neal was defending him.

"Reggie left me speechless," Jeff Van Gundy admitted. "He was great today."

Yao Ming and Tracy McGrady scored 19 points each, and Bob Sura added 15.

O'Neal had 21 points for the Pacers, who showed to the league their new jerseys.*

Ron Artest made a 18-point comeback, Dale Davis had 9 points and 10 rebounds and Stephen Jackson added 17 for Indiana.

Surprisingly, Jonathan Bender and Jon Barry didn't play for their teams.

Dikembe Mutombo, guarded by Dale Davis most of the game, scored only 1 point in 9 minutes. "It wasn't easy today," he said.

"I think we need a little bit more pride. We don't feel too good about ourselves right now," Pacers coach Rick Carlisle said.

Rookies Luther Head and Danny Granger added 14 and 11 points for their respective teams.

Timberwolves - Rockets

Luck's In Rockets Path

HOUSTON (AP) --- Jon Barry scored 5 points -1 3-point shot and 2 free throws- all within a minute to finish. Thanks to this, the Houston Rockets defeated the Minnesota Timberwolves: 121-119.

Barry tried to make a shot in the paint two minutes before the 3, but Michael Olowokandi, who had 9 points, blocked him easily. Barry then made the 3 over Sam Cassell (23 points), and the free throws after a Latrell Sprewell's (20) fault.

"Well it was luck," he said. "You see, I only played 3 minutes but I could help my team to win."

Wolves' rookie Rashad McCants had 25 points in 8-of-17 shooting, all points over Rockets' rookie Luther Head, who (after scoring 13 and 14 points against Sacramento and Indiana, respectively) only had 6 points in 3-of-8 shooting.

Also, Kevin Garnett won the another battle of the game, against Reggie Evans. Garnett scored 24 points against Evans' 8, and grabbed 12 rebounds against Evans' 9. Evans also got fouled out, when Garnett only had 2 fouls.

As Head lost badly against McCants, reserve David Wesley won against Wally Szczerbiak (13 points against 7).

Tracy McGrady and Yao Ming combined for 53 points (31 and 22), and had 10 rebounds each.

Minnesota's bench had 18 points, when Houston's got 43. (Wesley 13, Mike James 12, Danny Fortson 11, Dikembe Mutombo 2, Barry 5).

"The bench was outstanding," Rockets coach Jeff Van Gundy said.

"It was the first game I could see and let me say I got really impressed," new owner Thierry Henry said. "Both Jeff and Carroll (Dawson, GM) are doing an amazing job."

Rockets also showed their new gray alternate jersey.*
