Magic Lose First Game In OT
Orlando Magic 110
Denver Nuggets 112
The Orlando Magic lose first game of the season in OT 112-110. We had a great first half scoring 59 points. But at the end the game slipped away. First quarter started off great. Steve Francis had 7 points in the quarter including a 3pt buzzer beater as time expired. The second quarter started off well to0 with the Magic having a lead as big as 10 points. On the Nuggets side Carmelo Anthony was on fire scoring 20 points by the end of the first half! At the end of the half, the score was 59-49 my lead...

At the startof the second half, both teams were trading baskets. Newly-acquired Hedo Turkoglu was doing a good job on offense with help from Steve Francis and Kurt Thomas on the defensive end. At the end of the third quarter, I was leading by 5. The foruth quarter was very intense. I managed to score some early buckets but then went on a cold shooting streak and they managed to tie the game and eventually take the lead. Steve Francis was doing a great job on offense aswell as on defense. Kurt Thomas was doing a great job on the defensive end blocking everything in sight! With 1:00 left the score was tied...We traded baskets till 16 sec. to go. They were winning by two, then Steve Francis drove it in missed the lay-up but Dwight Howard was there for the offensive rebound and the slam. The Nuggets wasted time and with 2 seconds left Kenyon went for a mid-range shot which was blocked by Thomas! Unbelievable block!
OT came and the Nuggets took control but with 1:22 seconds left in overtime I tied the game thanks to an offensive show from Kurt Thomas. 15 seconds left on the clock. Nuggets ball. Kenyon Martin gets the ball and shoots a mid-range jumper from the left-wing and makes it!!
With 1 second left on the clock!! I wasnt able to make the shot and lost the game 112-110...
Kurt Thomas was a monster in this game!
STATS:
Magic:
Francis- 30pts/3rebs/11ast
Howard- 23pts/8rebs
Thomas- 19pts/12rebs/8 blocks
Nuggets:

Second Game Of The Season
Opponent:
Charlotte Bobcats
Record: 1-0
Key match-up: Ronald Murray vs. Latrell Sprewell
The Bobcats are now a dangerous team believe it or not. Their off-season was amazing, signing very important players from the Free Agency. They signed Theo Rattlif, Scott Padget, Earl Watson and Latrell Sprewell!
Their starting line-up consists of those guys and Emeka Okafor. I dont expext this to be a walk in the park...

Magic win in Home opener!
Magic- 99
Bobcats- 91
The Orlando Magic beat the Bobcats 99-91 in their second game of the season after losing their first.
"We played a great game. I'm just glad we pulled it off."-
Steve Francis
The first quarter was all Magic. We played great defense holding the new and improved Bobcats to only 14 points. Steve Francis and Dwight Howard scored 7 points and 6 points respectively in the first.
Francis hits one of his two 3's
The second quarter was basically the same as the first. We played great defense and Steve Francis put on an offensive show. From the Bobcats, Spree was getting the job done and Emeka Okafor had a late run but at the end of the half, the Magic were still leading 46-40.
Great defensive stop by Dwight Howard
By the start of the third quarter everything was under control. Our defense was still doing a great job and the offense got a boost from newly acquired Robert Horry. We were able to dominate the quarter and led by 11 after 3 quarters.
The fourth quarterstarted off on a good note. Ronald Murray started off with a lay-up and a 3 pointer. But little by little, the Bobcats, led by Sprewell, cut the lead to 3!
After that, we managed to pull away and eventually won the game 99-91.
"I'm really happy. We played a great defensive game."-
Dwight Howard
"This game showed how effective we can be on both sides of the floor. Hope we can go far this year."-
Ronald Murray
Another great game for Kurt Thomas

That's a good win against a team that looks quite... good. Guess they had a lot of space under the salary cap.
Mon Aug 01, 2005 9:38 pm
solid dynasty....would have liked to see you sign-and-trade Grant Hill if you didn't think he was worth the money....you lost talent and got nothing in return

let's see how the team recovers
