For the minutes he plays- thats pretty good i guess! Oh well... its up you how you use your team...

Do you have a 1,2,3-option system on offence?

It's great for howard, I considered starting Battie and Cato with Howard off the bench, but Howard has been solid so far, and to think about his potential as well, its awesome. On offense I like to pass the ball aroud to whoever has best positioning for what he can do. If I get the ball low to mobley, I won't do anything if 2 guys are on him, but if it's one on one on the perimeter, i'll be aggresive. Howard is vica versa. The only guy who I can be aggressive at all times is francis.. although stephen jackson is pretty reliable also..

Orlando @ Philly
I had a decision on who to start tonight: Stephen Jackson or Grant Hill. Jackson had been nothing but sensational since arriving, and Grant Hill hasn't played well at all this season. I stuck with Hill though.. becuase Jackson off the bench is alot better at this stage. That would hurt me though. As the game started, Francis was on fire! He was penetrating well against McKie and scoring. He even hit a 3. But Cuttino was playing terrible, and with Jackson not starting, it really slowed down the performance of the team. Philly sagged into a zone and Mobley was getting great looks but was just missing them. However Stevie and Dwight Howard were good enough to keep it tied after 1 quarter, 23 all. The second quarter was a nightmare though. I went to a lineup of Stevenson, Garrity, Nelson, Battie and mobley, but it just was a bad 1st half for Cuttino. He had 1 point all half, and we had only scored 3 in the 2nd quarter through 6 minutes. I put francis, jackson and howard back in and that immediately helped as we scored 11 points in the final minutes to bring it back to within stiking distance, 42-37.

3rd quarter would begin terribly for Philly. Allen Iverson was injured on the first play and didnt come back. But Robinson and Mckie would step up and carry the 76ers. Mobley started getting out on the fastbreak and we got some production out of that, but this was stevies game. He was just unstopable in this game, but philly was hanging tough, and led heading into the fourth, 64- 62. In the fourth Dwight Howard re emerged, but it was stevie down the strecth that gave us a chance to win. Mckie and Robinson kept hitting three's, including back to back ones with 1:30 left to give them a 5 point lead. Francis would respond with a dunk, then grant hill made a steal and pass to francis for a fastbreak dunk, then hill made another steal which lead to francis who kicked it to mobley who hit a 3 that gave us back the lead. Philly missed their chance to go up and there was a 4 second differential between the shot/game clock and they didnt foul. this allowed me to run the clock down and i drove with francis and kicked it to cato who missed the shot as the shot clock expired, but howard cleaned up the board with a crazy tip in. Philly scored a meaningless shot at the end, and we escaped with a 87-86 win. If Iverson didn't get injured, different story, definately.

Player of the Game
Stevie Francis
36 points (17-21 fg, 2-2 3pt)
2 rebounds
2 assists
1 steal

Rest of the stats

Cato 2 points, 5 rebounds, 3 assists, 5 blocks
Howard 15 points, 8 rebounds, 2 assists, 1 block
Hill 2 points, 3 rebounds, 1 assist, 2 steal
Mobley 15 points(14 in the 2nd half), 6-20 fgs (2-14 3pt), 4 reb, 1 steal
Jackson 7 points, 1 rebound, 1 assist, 2 blocks
Garrity 8 points, 5 rebounds, 1 assist, 1 steal

Mckie had 28, robinson 24. They played great. I hope i run into philly in some big games this season, this was a fun game.

Utah @ Orlando
I was tempted to put Jackson back in the starting lineup, but Hill got the start, mainly because of Kireilinko's awesome defensive game in 2005. Francis got off to a blinder of a start, scoring 12 first quarter points. But like last game, Mobley was struggling from 3pt terriotory. Utah's offense was stagnent, and we lead 26-18 after one. In the second quarter Jameer Nelson hit a 3! His first of his young NBA career. but as much as I like him he just isn't making an impact. Jackson carried much of the load in the 2nd quarter, and Orlando had a great first half, leading 46-35.

In the second quarter it was mainly Dwight Howard and Francis controlling the game, but Mobley has been awfully quiet the last two games. He's getting out on the breaks but he just isnt hitting his 3's anymore. He was hitting over .500 before last game, maybe live's ai picks up on when a player is hot and focuses more on him? It wouldn't be too far fetched. Anyhow.. Utah made a small 6-0 run to narrow the lead down to nine, 66-57. Utah had hung around all game but I just couldn't finish them off, and Harpring was starting to make some shots. But Stevie took over down the stretch, and we went up by 15 with just over 2 minutes to go. Utah didn't have a final run in them, and we pulled out a convincing 88-76 win at home to move to 7-1.

Player of the Game
Steve Francis
31 points, (11-18 fgs, 0-1 3pt, 9-10 ft)
3 rebounds
3 assists
2 steals

Rest of orlando's stats:
Cato 2 points, 6 rebounds, 6 blocks (these blocks are adding up big time lol, it might be time to adjust the slider)
Howard 12 points, 12 rebounds, 1 assist, 1 steal, 2 blocks
Hill 4 points, 4 rebounds, 2 assists, 1 steal
Mobley 12 points (0-7 3pt, ouch) 1 rebound, 1 assist
Jackson 11 points (3-4 3pt) 1 rebound, 1 assist, 1 steal
Nelson 3 points, 3 rebounds
Garrity 9 points, 2 rebounds

Hill will keep his starting role indefinately. He plays well with francis and mobley. However, if Mobley continues to struggle, I might be forced to move hill to the bench for jackson just to open up the court for stevie..

Other Games
Indiana 96
Hawks 71
Reggie Miller 25 points
Walker 25 points, 11 rebounds

Pheonix 117
Hornets 83
Stoudamire 27 points, 14 rebounds

Memphis 95
Portland 89
Mike Miller 22 points
Randolf 25 points, 15 rebounds

New Jersey 96
Seattle 78
Kidd 17 points, 8 rebounds, 7 assists
Allen 15 points

Detroit 105
Minnesota 85
Billups 24 points, 8 assists, 5 rebounds
Wally Szcerbiak 25 points, 9 rebounds

Lakers 95
Clippers 93
Odom 17 points, 8 rebounds
Kittles 26 points

Chicago 92
Warriors 84
Curry 18 points, 10 rebounds
Dunleavy 25 points, 9 rebounds

Miami 111
Bucks 103
Eddie Jones 36 points
Redd 38 points

Boston 90
Washington 80
Ricky Davis 18 points, 10 rebounds, 7 assists
Kwame Brown 17 points, 8 rebounds

Miami is making a little run in my divison, and i hope they do. I want to have a rivalry with those guys. How about the shootout with Jones and redd...

I might look to make a deal to bring in a good backup point guard, but nelson is not going to be traded. It's not that Jameer has played bad, he just isnt doing enough. I need that spark off the bench.

Transactions
Tony Battie and Stacey Augman
For
Scottie Pippen

Chicago wasn't playing Pippen, so I offered The bulls the trade and they Accepted. A few good things about the deal:
- I get Pippen in my franchise. I have alot of respect for Scottie, and this ensures he will go out the right way.

- I dump Tony Batties contract. He was scheduled to make 4.55 million over two season, and pippen's is up at the end of the season. This means I'll be about 10 million under the cap to resign players such as Cuttino Mobley or Grant Hill. I might even be able to keep both now.

- The trade also puts David Harrison in the rotation:
Centre: Cato/ Harrison / Declerq
P. Forward: Howard/ Garrity
S. Forward: Hill/ Jackson
S. Guard: Mobley/ Stevenson
P. Guard: Francis/ Pippen/ Nelson

If Harrison struggles, Declerq will take his place. Pippen's rating also went up to 67 when I edited him to a PG. I'll still try to get Nelson some minutes, but I think this is the best swingman rotation in the league.

Next game is against the pacers who are 8-1.

Orlando @ Indiana
This is a game I was excited about playing. Both Teams 8-1, both teams traded good players earlier in the season, and I can see this being a conference final preview. With that in mind, I wanted to send a message

The game started with Jermaine at centre, and bender at power forward. That was suprising, but good. Cato is a much better defender than Howard, and Bender isn't as good at Jermaine, so that worked in my favour. Orlando jumped out of the gate early, leading 10-2. Stevie was great as usuall, but this time hitting mid range jumpers. Howard had a spectactular dunk over Bender, and things looked good. But indy came back and tied it up at 25. Stephen Jackson hit a jumper and made 2 free throws to up the lead back to 29-25 at the end of 1. In the second quarter Pippen and Jackson were impressive together. Garrity was also good, and when garrity is effective, Harrison just has to rebound and play sufficent defense. Indy struggled badly in the 2nd, as the magic's bench totally dominated Indy's, and we closed out the half up 56-44.

Starting the 3rd quarter I knew Indiana was capable of getting back quickly. But the magics defense was top notch, and we were pushing the break at every opportunity. Francis was creating all kinds of problems for tinsley, and mobley started to hit some threes! Dwight Howard chipped in as did grant hill, and this baby was over at the end of the 3rd. Orlando 83- 60. In the fourth Pippen and Jackson continued to roll, and we came away with a very convincing 109- 86 win.

Player of the game
(This is becoming a habbit) Steve Francis!
29 points (13-17 fgs, 3-3 ft)
3 rebounds
5 assists
2 steals

Other Magic stats:
Cato 13 rebounds, 3 assists, 1 steal, 4 blocks
Howard 12 points, 7 rebounds, 1 assist, 1 block
Hill 9 points, 3 rebounds, 3 assists
Mobley 21 points, 3-6 3pt, 2 assists, 1 steal
Stephen Jackson 17 points, 7-9 fgs, 2 rebounds
Pippen 6 points, 3 assists, 3-3 fg, 1 rebound
Harrison 2 points, 3 rebounds
Garrity 13 points, 6 rebounds, 1 assist

Pretty balanced. The bench played awesome. Next game is at Portland, if that turns out to be another blowout, I'll put it upto superstar.

Other Games:

Houston 93
Clippers 74
McGrady 23 points, 11 rebounds, 5 assists, 3 steals
Maggette 26 points, 7 rebounds

Atlanta 103
Utah 94
Childress 14 points, 6 rebounds, 6 assists
Boozer 16 points, 13 rebounds

Minnesota 91
New Orleans 73
Kevin Garnett 18 points, 18 rebounds
Mash 21 points

Cleveland 119
Charlotte 76
Zydrunas 20 points, 15 rebounds
Eddie House 23 points

Memphis 104
Warriors 84
Gasol 27 points, 9 rebounds
Richardson 36 points

Nets 114
Washington 92
Kidd 36 points, 5 rebounds, 9 assists
Arenas 29 points

Kidd is filling up the sta sheets alot. He will probably beat stevie out for all nba 1st team. Jackson is looking good for 6th man of the year.

I thought about that for a bit, and it would work, but Mobley is averaging 19.2 ppg, and he compliments francis so well. Jackson should be starting, and if i do keep mobley and hill in this upcomming offseason, it will be Cato, Howard, Jackson, Mobley and Francis. There's no way (barring injury) Jackson wont be starting next season. He could even take the job this year, but probably not Mobleys. Cuttino has played well this season, except for that mini slump he had.

Not at this stage. Mobley, like i said has been playing awesome. And I dont want another big guy at the momet. Developing Howard is a prioty not just for this season, but for the next couple. He is going to be a superstar in this dynasty. Cato is leading the league in blocked shots. I might have to let grant hill walk, but i want to keep this fairly realsitic, and also a good challenge. If I get a solid centre (like Zydrunas) I might not lose another game.

A nice win over Indiana, i reckon you should move up to super star, that way you can increase your Q length. I'm a stat fanatic and i wanna see Stevie get more assists.

BTW wats Francis averaging so far?

Good luck agaisnt Portland :D

Nets are on a roll here

You have a solid team, and it should be an interesting offseason with all the players you have.
