As always the Rookie Challenge was always entertaining to watch, ecspecially this year with LeBron James and Carmelo Anthony. The Sophomores got out to a great start early thanks to Dunleavy who was on fire in the first quarter, but the Rookies pulled it back thanks to James' offence and Melo's defence. As the game progressed the Rookies began to take over as LeBron James cut Jay Williams up time and time again. It was an exciting contest throughout but the Rookies came up trumps winning it barely.

Competitors
R.Alston
A.Iverson
J.Kidd
S.Marbury
The modified course started at the corner of the 3 point line where the player would sprint to the basket and make a layup. Next they would zig-zag around ''imaginary'' players until they got to about half court. Then they would complete 6 crossovers (like the one James does in the demo movie at the start). Then they would charge back to the left of the top of the key and make a shot, then they had to make another shot from the right-hand side of the top of the key. Then they sprant back up to half court then sprint all the way back and finish with a layup.

A short 5 min. quarter game was to be played but one problem happened, my adjusted ratings didn't work so Larry and Magic played like stars, Oh well.
The game started out with a bang as Magic drove down the lane only to see his shot swatted by LaFrentz. Larry Bird start6ed out hot hitting a lot of 3 point plays and generally on fire at both ends of the court. R.Kelly showed he could hoop it up playing super defence and not letting anything go by him. Will Smith electrifyed the crowd by producing his ''West Philly'' jam and celebrating afterwards. But the Lakers didn't lie down with Magic ripping down boards and Gary Payton driving to the lane. Jay Z excited the crowd when he pulled up for a 3 and swished it, then performing his ''fa shizzle ma nizzle'' shake. 50 Cent was droppin' dimes like never before until the score was tied at 51 with 14 secs. left. Will smith posted up Jay Z then did a lightning quick spin move and went up and under to lay it in and gave the Celtics the win.
