TRADES --- AROUND THE NBA

Image

Today it was announced that the Spurs have traded Chris Wilcox and Rasho Nesterovic for Lamar Odom. Pop said that he think that both teams will benefit from this trade, especially the Spurs. The Spurs are getting a better player than Rasho and Wilcox put together, a better rebounder, scorer and a much faster player, how ever the Lakers get two very good rebounders for their kind of game, and two shot blockers.

Image

Everybody was shocked of what the Heat did today. They traded their star player for another point guard that will start. The team that will benefit most of this trade, ofcourse will be the Bulls and they are looking to make a run this season and in the playoffs with acquiring an all-star Dwayne Wade. And for the Heat, they will sure have a tough season and future ahead of them, trading Wade, but also getting a young player in return, Kirk Hinrich.

Image

The San Antonio Spurs have made another trade that included their small forward, Bruce Bowen. They traded Bruce Bowen to the Golden State Warriors for their No. 2 pick overall in the 2006 NBA Draft, Vince Dehere. The Warriors defense will improve as the season goes on, and Bowen looks forward of playing alongside with J-Rich and Baron Davis. San Antonio get a much younger player in return, a rookie, the No. 2 Draft Pick, Vince Dehere, who has a wonderful touch from the 3-Point line. Thats the player that the Spurs have been looking for, a nice young player that has speed, can shoot, and that is a team player.

The Spurs once again are going to focus on defense at training camp, since they lost Bruce Bowen. They will have to work hard, like always. The offensive side has never been the problem for the Spurs in the last 5 years or so, also they will focus on Atleticism, speed, jumping and stuff like that.
