Bucks Involved in Another Multi-Team Trade

Last time it was Phoenix and Atlanta, now Milwaukee is once again involved in a multi-team trade, this time with four teams.

Milwaukee sent Reece Gains to Dallas, who in turn sent Pavel Podkolzin to Detroit for Jason Maxiel. Maxiel went to New Jersey for Hendrik Rock (picked in the second round, 48th pick overall of the previous draft). Hendrick Rock went to Milwaukee.

Milwaukee
Sends: Reece Gains
Recieves: Hendrick Rock
The Bucks, looking to go in a more defensive direction this season, get a 6'9" swingman who is a good stealer, and can dunk through the roof. His speed is questionable, however.

Dallas
Sends: Pavel Podkolzin
Recieves: Reece Gaines
Giving up their huge 7'5" center they recieve a SG who has potential to become a solid player in the NBA.

Detroit
Sends:Jason Maxiell
Recieves: Pavel Podkolzin
After losing Ben Wallace to the free agent pool, Detroit had to fill their C postion madly. Pavel will not do it by himself, but will help out.

New Jersey

Sends: Hendrick Rock
Recieves: Jason Maxiell
Lacking at the PF position, NJ was looking to get a young player who had the heart to become a strong player. Whilst Jason is well undersized for his position (only 6'7") he is extremely strong and has a love for the game.

Nice trade man your got a really young team now good luck next season

Wed Feb 08, 2006 3:48 pm

yeh 5 rookies, ford, bogut, jefferson. redd and korver arent old yet either

Wed Feb 08, 2006 4:30 pm

This is what I hate about this game, rookies with 74 dunking and 88 jumping having 40 and 50 speed and quickness respectively. It's not logical!!! At least he can pass, but thats about all he can do on offence seeing he has no speed or strength to be able to utilise his dunking :( , hopefully he has good potential and gets of athleticism during his career.

Darvin Ham?

not everyone is perfect... it is sort of good that ea does it the way they do, not everyplayer is exactly how they should be for their spot, but for some reason they are expected to be.

Maggette to Milwaukee

Corey Maggette was injured for the majority of the previous season, and in this upcoming season, he will be enjoying the scenery of Milwaukee as he begins life with his new team.
Maggette was traded today to Milwaukee for swingman Ricky Davis, and centre Dan Gadzuric, who was second in the league in blocked shots last season.

Milwaukee
Sends: Dan Gadzuric, Ricky Davis
Recieves: Corey Maggette
With the signing of Ben Wallace, Milwaukee was stacked at the centre position. With this move, they upgrade their swingman/6th man position with Corey.

Clippers
Sends: Corey Maggette
Recieves: Dan Gadzuric, Ricky Davis
Lacking a good centre, they recieve the leagues second best shot blocker as well as Ricky Davis, who will be starting in Maggette previous spot, small forward.

No longer will these two be playing against each other.

Yeah its good to have players that arent always suited to the position, but it seems to be almost every bloody rook who isnt in the top 5 has screwed stats, like if a Guard has 75 in speed theres no way he should have 42 in quickness.

Nice trades by the way, i think the Maggette trade is very good

Yeah, that trade was fair trade, good job. Corey gets the job done 8-)

occasionaly you find a player suited, like Ben Vuu. he seems to be perfect for C... i cant think of anyone off the top of my head, but im sure there are quite a few players in the nba who have speed but not quickness, not huge amounts anyway. i guess the norm is to have them about the same, but then again i havnt really checked...

Big Ben dunks it over his old team mates.

Bucks lose in First Preseason Match
It was a good chance to look at the new players, but Milwaukee loses to Detroit.

Milwaukee
Points: Redd, 20
Rebounds: Wallace, 12
Assists: Ford, 5

Detroit
Points: Prince, 27
Rebounds: McDyess, 8
Assists: Arroyo - Hamilton, 6

This preseason match against Detroit was the first time many of these players had ever played together. New faces were Ben Wallace, Corey Maggette and of course the five new rookies in Pierce, Bollo, Rock, Vuu and Rider.

Rock recieved limited minutes, whilst Bollo sat the game out on the inactive list. Rolf Rider had a decent first game, scoring 8 points with 2 assists and 2 rebounds, but this was nothing next to Ben Vuu's huge performance with 13 points, 8 rebounds and 5 blocks.
Ben Wallace had 12 points and 12 rebounds, looking to in contention for another DPOTY award, and Corey Maggette was also good playing his 6th man role.

The preseason schedule is 3 games long, with games again Cleveland and Boston to follow.

Player of the Game
Tayshaun Prince
27 points
3 rebounds
3 assists
1 steal
1 block

this dynasty and my other dynasty are only related because im the same person, and the layout... im not going to do the same things in this one as i do in my other.

Sun Feb 12, 2006 8:23 pm

Nice, you got Vuu.

I had him in one of my old dynasties... 7'5. I also drafted a 7'3 guy the year after, so I had Vuu at Center, and the 7'3 guy at PF. They were unstoppable on the boards man. (Y)
