Yep, was surprised to see him there. Although he is about 3rd in league in rebounding at about 12 per game.

It's looking like I'll just let that the Joe Alexander trade will stand pat. If the Spurs end up re-signing him then I might take their 2012 2nd Round pick also to try to balance it a little more in my favour.

ROSE WINS GRUDGE MATCH AGAINST JENNINGS, SOPHOMORES WIN AGAIN
By The X
18 February 2010

Image

Derrick Rose was clearly a bit miffed about missing out on selection to the Eastern All-Star team, especially when you consider the fact that rookie point guard Brandon Jennings did make the team, with lesser averages and his team sitting at the bottom of the Eastern Conference.

So Rose did what he does best, leaves it out on the hardwood, as he led the Sophomore Team to a comfortable 101-80 win over the Rookie Team in Dallas. Whilst he was outscored by Brandon Jennings 25 points to 23, MVP Derrick Rose's game was much more balanced as he added 5 rebounds and 6 assists, whereas Jennings had no rebounds and only notched 2 assists.

Grizzlies' big man Marc Gasol had 18 points and 10 rebounds for the Sophomores. The Rookies got 15 points and 5 assists from Warriors' sharpshooter Stephen Curry.

Notes: James Harden missed the game due to injury. His replacement was Sacramento Kings guard Tyreke Evans, who himself has just returned from injury. Bucks' forwards Ersan Ilyasova (6 points, 5 rebounds) and Luc Richard Mbah a Moute (4 points, 2 rebounds) both played less than 20 minutes each for the Sophomores.

 Didn't even notice that. Guess he was supporting the rookies :P

Btw, the jerseys are actually black and pink, just might be a little hard to decipher from pic, which makes it even better

And heck, those jerseys might actually be the official ones for the Rookie Game

Don't believe me, check out last year's:

I'm now really interested to see All-Star Weekend. If they were shitpola black & pink jerseys then I'll be sure to post some pics in this thread

Good All-Star and Rookie teams. Definitely a sweet presentation. Still it's just a little eye catcher, that's why I am not a fan of the ASG in dynasty threads. I will keep mine just as short as you do.

Keep it up (Y)

Cheers. Yep, I'm also not a huge fan of big All-Star features, but whatever floats people's boat. I'm just glad for it to be all presented within a day. I remember doing All-Star festivities with 3pt contest, dunk contest, rookie game & ASG & it took the better part of a week to do it all. That is valuable time away from actually playing the games that matter.

Truth be told, in both games I played about one quarter with each team to get a few pics & a feel of the same of the players (just in case I ever might want to trade for them in the future) and then simmed both games until the end.

hmmmm... pink in an NBA jersey, never thought I'd see that. I wonder how they convinced them to wear them, Kevin Durant would never wear pink shoes. :)

EAST'S BALANCED PLAY TOO MUCH FOR WEST IN ASG
By The X
20 February 2010

Image

The Eastern Conference All-Stars had five players score in double figures (Lebron James 15, Dwight Howard 15, Josh Smith 14, Gilbert Arenas 12, Dwayne Wade 11) as they withstood a late charge by Kevin Durant (17 points off bench) and his Western Conference All-Star teammates to hold on for a 113-106 win in Dallas, Texas.

I'm glad I didn't have to pick the game's MVP, as there was no real standout. In the end, they gave it to Orlando Magic centre Dwight Howard, who was perfect from the floor on his way to 15 points, 7 rebounds and 2 blocks. Howard narrowly beat out teammate Josh Smith of the Atlanta Hawks, who had 14 points off the bench in his first ever All-Star Game.

Notes: Gerald Wallace missed the game due to injury. His replacement was Washington Wizards forward Caron Butler. The Bucks' two All-Star representatives, Andrew Bogut (5 points, 5 rebounds) and rookie Brandon Jennings (5 points, 8 assists) both had solid games despite each only playing less than 15 minutes for the Eastern Conference All-Stars.

Hmm, for some reason I think either the Clippers or Braves wore some pink in their jerseys in the late 70's or early 80's but I can't find any pics to back up this hunch :(

Sit wrote:Bogut + Jennings should have played more!

Why is that? Jennings shot 2 for 7 from the field so I think he played enough. East got the win, both were first time All-Stars & probably didn't deserve it as much as others, so I thought there minutes were fair. Remember that they were last 2-3 players picked so at bottom of rotation & I simmed second half :P

These jersey are pink for one reason: T-Mobile. It's the T-mobile Rook Sophs game and the Telekom's color (it's a german company) is pink.

For the ASG game. Nothin special, but 8 assists is something to mention, nice ASG debut by Jennings. More to come I hope so :)

I was wondering if the game actually did injury replacements. I remember using it as an excuse for Jamaal Magloire starting over Yao Ming in NBA 2K7. How to you get your pictures X?

Yep, East were a much stronger team this season.

Is that why I'm only 7-16? :(

Yep, I figured it had something to do with T-Mobile's colours.

Yep, the game definitely does injury replacements. I think that's why Chris Bosh wasn't picked as a reserve as he is still out injured for another week

As for pics, pretty easy. I uploaded them from game to 2k, then the big pics are just the uploaded pics & the small pics are the thumbnails of the pics. You can get to the pics in the View Media section.

Don't hate on Durant. He's actually quite a humble kid considering how talented he is.

Cheers for support. Yao ain't sitting on no one. The man in question is Dwayne Wade & he did his vintage move of throwing his body into defenders for the 3 point play :P

I feel your pain for one reason & one reason alone, the great Cedric Ceballos
