(I guess I found how to make the TV look great, I used to saved the pics in PNG format before,
I tried saving them in GIF format this time and they don't lose any quality at all.)
EAST RUTHERFORD, N.J. (AP) -- Once their coach busted his clipboard, the Cleveland Cavaliers figured it was time to break their losing streak. LeBron James scored a season-high 50 points and 11 rebounds, Maurice Williams added 18 and 15 assists and the Cavaliers responded to coach Mike Brown's sideline tirade with a 124-100 win over the sleep-deprived New Jersey Nets on Monday night. As his team huddled for a timeout in the second quarter, Brown destroyed his plastic chalkboard. If the destruction was meant to send a message, the Cavs got it and won their 6th game in the last 7.
"He's a fiery guy and sometimes you have to do that as a coach,'' Williams said. "Coaching is like parenting, sometimes there's six inches between a pat on the back and a pat on the butt. This was one of those times when he had to do a little patting on the butt.'' James, who had a triple double in Cleveland's previous game (27-15-10), scored 29 of his 50 points on the first half and played 33 minutes. Zydrunas Ilgauskas had 12 points, Delonte West made the trey that started Cleveland's key run for the win, and Wally Szczerbiak added nine points and 5 rebs for Cleveland.
Devin Harris had 15 points and a season-high 20 assists for the lethargic Nets, who just completed the seventh game of a eight-game trip out all East, and were playing their fifth game in eight nights. "Mentally, we tried to tell ourselves we weren't tired,'' Harris said. "But it was tough. It was one of those games you try to forget about. We've got to get some rest. Everybody's sleeping pattern is off." Vince Carter and Jason Richardson had 24 and 20 points respectivelly for New Jersey, which after losing the second time this season, was snapped the chance of a 7th straight win.
The Nets went to win the first quarter 33-19, but with Cleveland up front 86-81 after three, the Cavs pushed their lead to 89-87 following a 3-pointer by Richardson and a Jarvis Hayes' 3-point play after being fouled by Szczerbiak. West' three, as said before, made it 102-89, a 13-2 run for Cleveland with 5:07 left, and the Nets didn't have the legs to get back in it. James and Williams finished a combined 33-of-54 from the field for the Cavaliers.
Unhappy with his team for letting the Nets cut a 10-point deficit to three in the first minutes of the third, Brown splintered his clipboard during a heated timeout. Cleveland reacted by outscoring New Jersey 33-21 in that quarter. "I just didn't feel we were playing with the same defensive intensity we use to,'' Brown said. "We had to nip it in the bud.'' Brown's blowup surprised Ben Wallace. "He got our attention,'' Big Ben said. "It worked. Hopefully, he doesn't have to do that anymore.''
After the 33-19 first quarter the Nets never led again. They headed toward their locker room at the half with their fans either booing or grumbling about the club's lackluster effort. The first 24 minutes were a total different New Jersey than the last six wins: moments of brilliance mixed with brutality. LeBron, who was averaging 27.2 points, 7.9 rebounds and 8.1 assists coming this game, said before it that his energy has increased since the early season. He played for the U.S. in the world championships but it didn't look like it had taken its toll tonight. After playing on Saturday night at Atlanta, the Nets didn't get back to East Rutherford until 9:30 a.m. on Monday and the lack of down time showed. "I know we had a three day rest before the game against the Cavs, but let me be honest, it felt like a back-to-back-to-back,'' Carter said. "We didn't get our rest. I hope we can be on full energy when we face the Raptors."
Notes
- Chris Douglas-Roberts was available for this game but coach Lawrence Frank decided to keep him in the inactive list;
- Despite suffering from a sore hamstring, Cavs' Tarence Kinsey played 33 minutes, the same minutes than LeBron, and made his way to 12 points;
- Nets had 18 fast break points;
- Both teams shot over 60%, product of 148 combined points on the paint.
- Cleveland had 9 blocks;
- Nets bench scored 29 points.

LeBron was a monster, kinda strange he was at PF, so Szczerbiak took the small forward spot. Gonna check your story now Martti

He was at PF on my game for a while to, but after I traded them a starting PF, he moved to SF. He really needs to be at SF in the game because he'll bring the ball up-court more and a lot of the cav's plays run around the SF position.

Watch the Phoenix Suns for a game or two. You'll probably see a team that certainly could have a home-court series in the Western Conference playoffs, and go even further, but only if they recover in time and not in the final 10 games of the season. You might have to think about an 82-game schedule and having core players whose best days are behind them. Great players like Shaquille O'Neal and Grant Hill likely have seen their best days already. That makes you think again. So then you consider the Suns' chances of getting that home court, and you know the younger core players must produce. In particular, Amare Stoudemire needs to play like an MVP and Leandro Barbosa must play like a Sixth Man of the Year. At the center of this is Amare.
The level of excitement that LeBron James brings to the perimeter -- especially after yesterday's 50-point performance at New Jersey -- that's what Stoudemire gives us with the inside game. He can run the floor and make plays in the open court. He can be a presence on defense. And this season could become his most impressive of all when it comes to putting up numbers. And this is exactly what his team needs from him, right now, right here. I still put Tim Duncan and Kevin Garnett as the top power forwards in the game, with Stoudemire and Chris Bosh right behind. KG does not deliver the numbers that Stoudemire is likely going to be posting, but that's because Boston does not need him in that role. O'Neal's presence in the middle should help Stoudemire reach these new levels. Amare/Shaq, on paper at least, is the best 1-2 power forward/center combo in the league, even with Shaq averaging 6.0 points in the 11 games Phoenix played this season.
But from an overall production standpoint this season, it's going to be an uphill climb. Amare is averaging 22.6 points and 7.6 rebounds in this 11 games. Over 82 games, that production imbalance up front is going to happen. That's why they've got to make sure Amare is the go-to guy -- in a few games that hasn't been so clear. Here's what he said to the Arizona Republic after Suns' last game, a 131-108 win at Utah yesterday: "You got Carlos Boozer, Mehmet Okur, Andrei Kirilenko," Stoudemire told the paper. "All 3 have around 6 years in the league, but I definitely need to dominate those guys early -- anytime. Nothing against them, they played well tonight, but just from a fact of wanting to dominate and wanting to take over the ballgame, that's what I wanted to do."
Nash is still one of the best at getting the ball to his guys, so feeding Amare shouldn't be a problem, if they remember where the ball needs to go. Suns coach Terry Porter also knows the importance of resting Shaq, because a healthy Shaq in the middle allows Stoudemire to flourish at the 4. Change has come to Phoenix. They are 5-6 right now, but when Amare is the focus, Phoenix has its best shot to stay in the upper crust of the West.
We will give you an in-depth report and add any new injuries every day and update status on old injuries. Dallas forward Dirk Nowitzki is now in the last part of their recovery and can play, but it's certain that coach Rick Carlisle won't risk him next game. Sacramento suffered two blows in the loss against Memphis as guard Beno Udrih and forward/center Spencer Hawes have suffered a sore knee and a twisted ankle, respectively.

• TUESDAY'S STARS • LeBron James, CLE; Dwight Howard, ORL; Kevin Garnett, BOS; Pau Gasol, LAL
James teared the basketball apart with 50 points, 11 rebounds and 6 assists in Cleveland's 124-110 win at New Jersey, preventing a Nets' 7th straight win. Howard led Orlando to a 112-98 win over Toronto at Amway Arena, with 22 points and 13 rebounds, to go with 5 blocks. Garnett posted the first triple double of the season with 10 blocks, adding 15 points and 14 rebounds in the Celtics' 117-103 triumph against New York. Gasol had 27 points, 11 rebounds and 8 assists, flirting with another triple double, helping the Lakers to a Chicago rout, 153-118. Gasol and other 6 Lakers scored in double figures (Kobe Bryant 37, Derek Fisher 21, Lamar Odom 20, Sasha Vujacic 17, Andrew Bynum 12, Jordan Farmar 10).
• TUESDAY'S STRONG IN DEFEAT • Jason Kidd, DAL; Joe Johnson, ATL; Brad Miller, SAC; Carmelo Anthony & Chauncey Billups, DEN
A new section starting today features the players who had a great game but couldn't help their teams to win their matches: J-Kidd posted his second triple-double of the month but the Mavs lost at Charlotte, 104-115; Johnson had 38 points and 7 assists in Atlanta's 110-116 loss at Indiana; Miller posted a 29-11 double-double but the Kings dropped to 2-10 in the season, the league's worst record, losing 113-124 at Memphis; Anthony-Billups duo had a stellar night (Melo: 44 points, 7 rebounds - Billups: 29 and 13 assists) but Denver lost against Milwaukee in overtime, 146-148.
• TUESDAY'S WORST • Juan Dixon, WAS; Josh Howard, DAL; Beno Udrih, SAC; Eddy Curry, NYK
Dixon posted only 6 points in Washington's 114-123 loss at home against Miami, shooting 2-of-14; Howard shot 5-of-19 for 11 points in the Mavs' loss at Charlotte; Udrih shot 3-of-12 from the field and to make things worst, he got injured in Sacramento's 113-124 defeat at Memphis; finally, Curry was sent to guard Garnett but as said before, KG posted a triple-double, so Curry couldn't have a good night. He recorded 8 points in 4-of-13 shooting.

Yes will try to edit LeBron later, he's a monster. Devin has had his best all-around game of the season. Forgot to tell you Mark, solved the GIF problem, if you save the parts of the GIF in GIF format as well, they don't lose quality when you merge them (I use GIF Movie Gear).

It's nice any time your starting backcourt can outscore your opponent's 59-42 and extra-nice when that opposing backcourt features Chris Paul, but it doesn't mean a thing if an opposing big man can outscore your entire starting frontcourt 25-11, the way the Hornets' Peja Stojakovic did against the Kings on Wednesday night. Guard play isn't the issue for the Kings, even playing with injured duo Beno Udrih and Spencer Hawes. They won't be going anywhere as long as their frontcourt gets dominated the way it did. David West added 16 points, and Rasual Butler had 15 more off the bench.
"We didn't come out and double-team in the first half, trying to stay on some of the perimeter guys," Kings coach Kenny Natt said. "[Stojakovic] got in deep and gave us a lot of trouble. He was real effective in the first half. I thought we were more aggressive in the second half, but their length definitely bothered us." The Kings still have to see the Hornets three more times this season, and in the Eastern Conference, they will have to deal with the length of teams such as the Celtics (two times), the Heat and the Magic (one each). Brad Miller, who posted 29 points and 11 rebounds against Memphis, was overmatched inside, recording 9 points. He said the Kings can use their smaller size to their advantage if they play it right.
"We've got power forwards that can stretch the defense," Miller said. "We've got quick 5s. They have to guard us, too. But we have to do a better job exploiting that." Miller executed the strategy for a while in the first quarter, hitting jump shots when West refused to come out on him, then driving for a hoop and a foul when West did leave the paint. But he didn't score again after the second quarter (all his 9 points in that part), and in the game he had more fouls than field goals made. John Salmons was another foul-plagued King, with three personals in the last quarter.
Kenny Thomas has the size but not the mobility. Jason Thompson has the athletic ability but not the well-rounded game, even though he's improving. And Kevin Martin, who had 21 points and four rebounds, looked really good. But another, much older basketball theory was proved Wednesday. It's still a big man's game.
We will give you an in-depth report and add any new injuries every day and update status on old injuries. More bad news for the Bulls and Thunder: Ben Gordon joined Luol Deng in the unplayable list. Good news is that Larry Hughes is in the last part of his recovery; Gordon will be out at least a month. Kevin Durant got injured for OKC but he can play, but is certain that coach Scott Brooks won't risk him. Recently signed Hawk Shareef Abdur-Rahim got injured in the win against Washington.

• TUESDAY'S STARS • Chris Paul, NOH; LeBron James, CLE; Joe Johnson, ATL; Michael Redd, MIL
Paul had 31 points and 16 assists in New Orleans' 143-111 win against Sacramento, leaving the Kings with a 2-11 record. After a 50-night at New Jersey, LeBron recorded 43 to go with 11 rebounds and 7 assists in the 106-99 win at Detroit; this win propels the Cavs to the top of the Central Division (8-4). Johnson racked up 44 points in the Hawks' 119-105 triumph over Washington. And after an overtime win at Denver, Milwaukee defeated the Jazz at Utah, 118-113 with Redd scoring 36 points and 8 rebounds.
• TUESDAY'S STRONG IN DEFEAT • Carlos Boozer, UTA; Jermaine O'Neal, TOR; Kirk Hinrich, CHI; Antawn Jamison, WAS
This new section features the players who had a great game but couldn't help their teams to win their matches. Boozer recovered from the 11-6 night against Phoenix with a 34-9 performance against Milwaukee, but it wasn't enough as the Bucks won 118-113 at the EnergySolutions Arena. O'Neal had a 16-12 double double at Miami but the Heat proved too strong for the Raps in a 79-95 loss for Toronto; Shawn Marion and Michael Beasley combined for 43 points and 15 rebounds. In the Bulls' second game of the Western Conference trip (6 games), Hinrich racked up 24 points and 8 assists but Chicago lost again, this time against Portland, 84-102. Jamison posted 20 points and 7 rebounds for the Wizards but they loss 105-119 at Atlanta; this game leaves Washington with the worst record in the East: 2-7 (.222).
• TUESDAY'S WORST • Anthony Parker, TOR; Richard Hamilton, DET; Linas Kleiza, DEN; Brad Miller, SAC
Coming from a 25-point night vs. Miami and a 15-10 performance at Orlando, today he only had 10 points and 2 rebounds in the Raps' 79-95 loss at the Heat's American Airlines Arena. Hamilton posted 28 points at Phoenix two days ago but today he was defended by LeBron and only had 13 points... James had 43. Kleiza shot 2-of-10 in the Nuggets' 94-118 defeat at San Antonio. As said before, Miller was coming from a 29-11 performance at Memphis but he only had 9 tonight at New Orleans, making the Kings suffer their 7th straight defeat and a league-worst 2-11 record.
