Cavs begin December with two huge trades
ACQUIRE JERMAINE O'NEAL, LAMAR ODOM, DANNY GRANGER AND ANDREW BYNUM
Lakers Trade
Pacers Trade
Today the Cavaliers announced the additions of All-Star player Jermaine Oneal, Lamar Odom, Danny Granger and Andrew Bynum.
In return the Pacers recieved long time Cav center Zydrunas Ilgauskas, Alan Henderson and Jerome James.
The Lakers recieved Nate Robinson, Donyell Marshall and Latrell Sprewell.
"We've been looking at these four guys for a while now, and when offering we didnt expect to get them all, but we did.
Sadly we see Big Z leave, but he didnt mind a change in environment and either did newcomers Marshall, Robinson, Henderson, Sprewell and Jerome James.
We feel we not only get a current championship contender team, but with the additions of rookies Granger and Bynum, we have it for years to come." Words of GM Zac Mousoulis.
Jermaine and Odom have been in great form the past 2 months, and rookies Granger and Bynum havent had a big chance, but they look promising, and will probably get a chance in Cleveland.
"We were sad to see Jermaine go, but the team needs changes and this happens when teams need changes. The fans may not be happy at first, but I think they will be soon and these three big guys give us the front court depth we need." Words of GM Larry Bird.
"Lamar hasnt had the oppurtunity here in LA to show what hes really made of, and we feel Cleveland will appreciate him more, not that we dont here, just that he wont get the chance here.
Andrew is getting kicked down and down the roster, and before he is worthless here we wanted to send him to someone who could use him, and with the recent Cav trade with the Pacers they wanted and needed him so it worked for us. Bringing in Spree, Donyell and Nate fills needs and 2 of those players will most likely be starting." Wors of GM Mitch Kupchak.
