Summary
st Quarter In the 1st the sophomores got of to an ideal start and where running the highlight reel as the rookies and there unexperienced bodies where getting pummelled. The sophomore then picked up the pressure at 7-0 and by seconds it was 10-0. But T. Mbembe the African international began to run havoc as he had 4 points and 5 rebounds after 3:00 minutes. But then he picked up he’s second foul and it looked grim for the rookies. But Rookie T. Black began to play a B.B carp role for the pistons as he reduced it to 12-14 then with his 3rd three it was 15-16. But G. Green hit back with another 3. This then got the sophomores going as they shook the rookies and took a 27-18 lead with a minute to play. The score line didn’t change much from there as the rookies went into the end of the first trailing by 6, 21-27.
nd Quarter In the second Mbembe re-entered and had an immediate impact as he set up Titov for the 1st second half points. But another rookie basket wasn’t enough to get them back into the game as the sophomore turned up the volume and took a 35-25 lead. But the highlight reel hadn’t began until up and coming superstar Chris Paul found A. Bogut for the monster alley-oop. The game then became a blow-out as the rookies took a 41-25 lead. The rookies had no answer so they looked for black to offer them some guidance but not even consecutive three’s from him could help the rookies and they trailed 31-47. The rookies then had a short and sharp run to get them into the half trailing 36-50.

rd Quarter The second Half was going to half to be a standout if the rookies where going to challenge the sophomores. But it was looking tough as they trailed 54-36 after two plays. Although Black was determined to make a game of it as he scored consecutive buckets to get it back to 13. And then with another 3 it was back to 10. Then again another three and it was back to 7. Both teams then calmed down and went bucket for bucket until the rookies got as close as 6. The adrenalin began to run and then Black made a play which is tough for even the best players in the world as he drew contact and dropped a 30ft fade away three and converted from the line to get them within 3. Then on the next play black stripped Deron William and hit a clutch to drawing contact and then tying it from the line. Although this was all soured by a late sophomore run as they took a short 79-76 lead.
th Quarter The last was a giant heavyweight battle as both teams where willing to do anything to win and it became a serious contest. Although The Rookies where the better as black was on track for 100 points at the rate he was sinking from downtown. Then both teams hit into last gear and where going flat out whilst the crowd where injecting a new born supremacy into the game. The rookies then took a 98-92 lead when Black sat down on the pine dripping of sweat after he’s 76 points to date. Then it all turned wrong as the sophomores took a 101-99 lead. But the rookies hadn’t come this far for nothing as they went on a massacre run to lead 107-101. The rookies then closed out and stamped a history making win, to win 113-107.
