good gime

Sun Feb 19, 2006 6:19 am

Good to see a winning streak started. Ray Allan came up big with that three, reminded me of the buzzer-beater against Phoenix from earlier this season. Good job on gaurding Emeka, he didn't get that many points but Knight made up for it, so you had an average game even though this was perdicted to be a blow out(By me, atleast). Good luck next game and hope you get it to 5 games.

Very close indeed, came right to the end.

Allen played very well and basically kept the team alive throughout the game.

You're right, it reminded me of the Phoenix game as well. Emeka wasn't a major disappointment since he's not a huge offensive threat but 6 is still very low. Thanks, hopefully I'll get 5 in a row!

Well I can't because it's on XBox. I'll maybe try to acquire Watson, Russell and Wilcox and trade Murray, Evans and Potapenko in various deals.

Sonics Prove to be too Much for Hawks

Image103 Image110

The Seattle SuperSonics have gone on an unbelievable hot streak as of late, boosting their record to well over the .500 mark. They defeated the Atlanta Hawks by a score of 110-103 at home in Key Arena to win their 7th straght game.

Ray Allen would have taken home MVP honors had the season began 7 games ago and ended today. His consistant off-the-chart performance has lifted the Seattle Sonics in the Standings. Allen finished the game with yet another game-high in scoring with 28 points.

Drew Gooden sat out again as Reggie Evans stepped up, coming up only a bucket short of a double-double. He finished with 8 points and 10 boards. Rashards Lewis and Luke Ridnour followed up with 16 points each. Although Ray Allen has been impressive, he certainly hasn't done it alone.

The Hawks managed to stay close to red-hot Sonics as they have managed to stay fairly close to the bottom of the standings. Tony Delk was a huge surprise as he netted a team leading 25 points. Joe Johnson, not to be outdone, followed up with 24 of his own, accompanied by 6 assists.

The Sonics will face off against Carmelo Anthony and the Denver Nuggets next as they visit Key Arena. The matchup will feature two red-hot teams who will battle for the Northwest division.

Sonics Handle Nuggets, Grab 7th Straight Win

Image101 Image104

The Sonics appear to be the hottest team in the NBA. After a slow start, they spent most of the season trying to stay above the .500 mark. Now, they have grabbed their seventh straight win in a very important game against the Nuggets for the Northwest Division. The win also improves their record to 31-18.

Who else, but Ray Allen led the Sonics with 23 Points, but was narrowly outdone by Nuggets' star Carmelo Anthony who netted 27 Points. Drew Gooden made his return to the Sonics lineup after an injury which kept him out for two games. He notched 17 Points and 6 Boards followed by Rashard Lewis's 16 and 9.

The Nuggets, however, could not be more disappointed. They ran into a very hot team in one of the most important games of the year considering the standings and were narrowly defeated. Carmelo Anthony had a solid game with 27 Points followed by Voshon Lenard's biggest effort of the season, as he netted 22. Marcus Camby and Kenyon Martin both chipped in with double-doubles.

Sonics Key Player Stats

Ray Allen- 23 Points|2 Rebounds|2 Assists|5 Steals
Rashard Lewis- 16 Points|9 Rebounds|3 Assists
Drew Gooden- 17 Points|6 Rebounds|3 Blocks
Luke Ridnour- 13 Points|13 Assists
Brendan Haywood- 12 Points|5 Rebounds|4 Blocks

Nuggets Key Player Stats

Carmelo Anthony- 27 Points
Voshon Lenard- 22 Points|2 Rebounds|3 Assists
Marcus Camby- 14 Points|10 Rebounds|3 Assists|5 Steals
Kenyon Martin- 12 Points|10 Rebounds
Andre Miller- 12 Points|8 Assists

Oh damn, sorry...I won the game 104-101 not the Nuggets, that was a mistake. I'm playing on XBox.

Close game but good to see you come out on top and grab your 7th straight win. Everyone is contributing on your team, espically Haywood with 4 blocks! Lets see if you can extend your streak even more.

4 Blocks is not ridiculously impressive but you're right, everyone's contributing.

Thanks for the kind words.

I'm sorry to say that I'm finished with this Dynasty. It's a bit difficult to have to run a Dynasty on my friend's XBox. I might start with a new Dynasty and take it all the way since I can use my own XBox now. If you guys think it's a good idea and would provide some support then I might go for another one. But for now, thanks to everyone who supported me with this Dynasty. I tried my best to deal with the limitations of playing it on console and I appreciate the support.

Too bad. It was getting interesting. Yeah, I think you should start another one but this time on your's. Good luck if you are starting a new one. (Y)

Thanks but I doubt that I will start a new one. There isn't much support and I'm not exactly that willing to start over with another team. I'll think about it for a while.
