ya i personally am just pissed at him coz he sucks and always steps out of bounds thats why i made this acticle. plus i also dont really pass it to him coz hes not really part of my offense..so i just did what typical NBA players these days do. they take shots at someone! im gonna try and trade him for someone good...

LAKERS ONCE AGAIN FALL SHORT
McInnis comes off the bench and plays 11 minutes

With the on-going rift between Jeff McInnis and the Lakers, the other players looked a little distracted.

Kobe Bryant started flat, shooting 2-of-8 in the 1st quarter. Eventually he caught fire, but it wasn't enough.

He and Robert Horry led a three-point barrage, but Denver just kept making their free throws to give the Lakers a 117-113 loss.

Bryant and Horry made three three-pointers combined to cut the lead to 110-113. After Carmelo Anthony made both free throws, Bryant hit another three to cut the lead to 113-115. But Earl Boykins calmly made two free throws to seal the win.

The Lakers shot poorly from the line, shooting 55.6% compared to 91.3% for Denver.

Kwame Brown only put up 9 points and 6 rebounds due to his bruised knee.

Bryant led the Lakers with 41 points. Anthony led the balanced Denver Nuggets with 27.

The entire rotation was destroyed, with Sahsa Vujacic starting and Jeff McInnis coming off the bench. Both played sparingly. Vujacic only played 4 minutes.

McInnis, who has been complaining about his role in the offense, played only 11 minutes, scoring 4 points.

"I don't take back what I said," McInnis said after the game.

"Players should realize that they can't have the ball every time," Lakers coach said in his first response to McInnis' remarks. "Hopefully he will be able to find himself and just play the game of basketball."

Lakers GM Mitch Kupchak has already been talking with teams to trade for McInnis.

LAKERS FINALLY ABLE TO COMPLETE RUN, WIN vs. GS
LA had a 14-0 run to end game

Kobe Bryant just simply wouldn't let the Lakers continue losing. He scored 39 points, including two straight three-pointers and the game-winning shot with 5 seconds left to give the Los Angeles Lakers a much-needed 99-98 win over the Golden State Warriors.

At first it seemed as if the Lakeshow would lose yet another game when they trailed 98-85 with just over three minutes to play. Lakers coach Phil Jackson returned Jeff McInnis, who he has been feuding with the past week, to the floor. McInnis then harassed Baron Davis who threw a wild pass and it went into the hands of Bryant. He then threw an alley-oop to Devean George to cut the lead to 11. LA then got another steal and Bryant fed Kwame Brown for the two. It was now 98-89.

Odom gets re-inserted into the game and rebounded a miss by Jason Richardson then feeds Robert Horry for the jumper. After that, Kobe took over.

After another Warrior miss, Bryant drilled a three pointer. Then Kobe stole the ball and drilled another three-pointer. By then, LA was down by only one.

Baron Davis missed a three-pointer, then the stage was set for Kobe. He went around an Odom screen then swished the jumper with 5 seconds left, giving LA the lead.

Baron Davis (38 points) missed the final three-pointer at the buzzer.

LA now goes back home to face Shaquille O'Neal and the Miami Heat. It will be the first time Shaq, Kobe and Phil in the same building together since Game 5 of the 2004 NBA Finals.

as for the Wafer suggestion, that could work. but i think hes not that ready to start yet. also he needs more ball handling skills. but ill keep that in mind. thanks.

LAKERS PLAY YET ANOTHER OT GAME, WIN vs. HEAT
McInnis has huge game, Horry sends it into OT, Wade kept in check

Kobe Bryant got his 1st win over Shaquille O'Neal, but it was not the way many expected. Bryant was fouled with 1.2 seconds left with the game tied, then his 1-of-2 free throws to give Los Angeles the 124-123 win. The 2nd one missed, but Lamar Odom secured the rebound for the win.

The free throw last hasn't been friendly to Los Angeles, who are last in the league. It wasn't good to them either in this game, but Kobe Bryant hit the one that counted.

Bryant had 44 points, 10 assists and 5 rebounds to lead 5 players in double figures. Jeff McInnis, who had said he will focus for this game, finally came up huge with 17 points and 7 assists. Chris Mihm had 10 points and 11 rebounds before fouling out. Lamar Odom had 13 points, 10 rebounds and 5 assists, starting power forward.

Shaquille O'Neal had 24 points, 8 rebounds and 3 blocks, while shooting a monstrous 11-for-13 from the field. Jason Williams led the Heat with 29 points, but shot 9-for-29. James Posey had 19, Udonis Haslem had 16 and Gary Payton had 10. These three players came of the bench.

Dwyane Wade had a quiet 8 points, as he was kept in check by Kobe Bryant's defense. Wade had 4 fouls and attempted only 8 shots.

During the final seconds of regulation, Bryant hit a driving layup to pull the Lakers even with the Heat. But on the other end, Udonis Haslem hit a three point play to give the Lakers a three point lead with 5.1 seconds left. After the timeout, Bryant passed the ball to an open Robert Horry who hit the long three pointer to send it into OT. Mourning's potential game-winning tip in didn't go in after Wade missed the tightly contested shot.

In the extra period, Kobe Bryant was simply on fire, scoring all but 4 of the points in the period. He was wide open with 2 seconds left but was fouled on the jumper which missed. Bryant was told by Phil Jackson to miss the 2nd free throw.

Kobe Bryant made the second half and OT his personal highlight reel, since he only scored 9 points in the 1st half.

Shaq walked off the court in frustration after the game.

NOTES: This game is the first since Game 2 of the 2004 NBA Finals that Phil Jackson, Kobe Bryant, Shaquille O'Neal and Gary Payton are in the STAPLES Center....Devean George started small foward, Lamar Odom started power forward...Kwame Brown, who is still injured, came off the bench and scored 8 points and grabbed 2 rebounds.

LAKERS PULL AWAY WITH LATE GAME SHOOTOUT OVER HAWKS
This was the game where the Zoom Kobe 1's debuted on the baksetball court. (thanks to Kuttan for releasing the shoe patch) Kobe Bryant sure wanted to make it a memorable one with his first official shoe with his Nike endorsement.

After a very tough win over the Miami Heat, many expected the Los Angeles Lakers to be tired and beat down for this game against the Hawks. And sure enough, they were tired.

The Lakers started out flat, misfiring and trailed 18-8 with 2:45 left in the 1st quarter. The defense was especially bad the whole evening, allowing Joe Johnson to simply drive inside and hit a layup.

However, as the game came to a close, Kobe Bryant put on the superman cape and shot down the Hawks for a 110-100 win. His steal and layup put the Lakers up 106-98 with 30 seconds left, and that sealed the win for Los Angeles.

During the final minutes however, Kobe and Hawks rookie Salim Stoudamire engaged in a three point shootout that made the momentum shift back and forth. Kobe took a pass from Von Wafer and hit a three pointer. On the other end, Stoudamire hit a three to cut the lead down. The Bryant hit another three, then Stoudamire another three. Finally Bryant was able to intercept the pass and feed Kwame Brown for the dunk. Then came the layup that sealed it.

Bryant had 53 points, all on jumpshots (except for the layup) as he couldn't get his dunk going. He shot a whopping 17-for-30 from the field (including 6-for-11 from three point range) and 13-for-16 from the line. As a team, the Lakers shot 80.8% (21-for-26) from the line, a major improvement from their 65% average on the year.

Lamar Odom had 15 points and Kwame Brown had another double-double with 10 points and 11 rebounds.

Joe Johnson led the Hawks with 30 points, Stoudamire had 27 and number 2 draft pick Marvin Williams had 22 points and 12 rebounds.
