The Heat's much awaited rematch against the Kings lived up to its hype as the 2 team battled till the last second of the game. Well, not really, The Kings started out hot as hell scoring 8 straight points to take an 8-0 lead. They extended the lead to 10pts at 14-4 before the Shaq woke up and scored 6 straight points. The 1st quarter ended with the Kings leading by 2, but the Heat pulled away in the second quarter. Wolf and Smith led the airial attack with Favreau cleaning up the boards; he end up with 13rebs for the game. Shaq had 24pts, 8rebs, 2blks, and 4asts. Wade had 18pts before fouling out with 3 minutes left in the game.

The All-Star game is coming up. I didn't mention that i beat the Pistons after my game with the Kings, but nothing much happened during that game. Favreau is starting for the rookies. Shaq is a starter for the East, and Wade is a reserve for the East. Amazingly, neither Smith nor Wade is in the Slamdunk contest.

Sorry, I don't check this Dynasty too much. I guess it's because there are no pics to attract me. Anyways, great Dynasty. Keep up the good work.

Well apparently i have a player in the SlamDunk contest and it's Josh Smith. He didn't win even though i reset the contest 3 times hehe. The other participants were Mcgrady, Ray Allen!!! and Grant Fergusson? Allen won the contest despite being 105yrs old. Fergusson always miss his first attempt but would come back score a 50 on his second attempt.

The Rookie game was as difficult as it could have been. I was playing the Rookies because of Favreau and i didn't know who else on my team could score. I trailed by more than 10 throughout the game and it went as high as 14pts. Worst thing is that Favreau got injured in the 3rd and the lead balloon to that. Good thing i found a shooter off the bench who scored 13pts in the 4th quarter to help me win the game. Favreau came back in the 4th and help out and he end up winning the MVP with 24pts, 14rebs, 1blk, 2asts, and 2stls. The Sophomores was led by Recasner who scored anytime he wanted.

The All-Star game ended like last year, I lost. With Shaq and Wade on the East team, it wasn't enough to beat the mighty West. How could i win if my back up center is Kwame Brown!!! Al Harrington is a starter for the East too. Allen and Stojokovic sank like 10 straight 3's in the 3rd quarter and that basically broke the camel's back. Lebron was great in the first quarter but only scored 2 points the rest of the way. Paul Pierce also played well but it wasn't enough to lift the East. Stojakovic was the MVP of the game.

I was sadden to see that my hall of fame awards got reset for some reason. i lost all the awards i've won thoughout my career =(.

Now I remember why i lost my awards in my Hall of Fame room. I remember loading the game with a different memory card and when i tried loading my Heat, it showed as file not found, so i put in the correct memory card and played and after the game i saved the settings because Favreau won the Rookie MVP award then poof, i overwritted my settings =(. Oh well... Let that be a lesson to everyone =).

Played 3 more games after the ASG and won them all, what else is there to say... Wade made 23-23 free throws in one game, that certainly saved me from losing to the Wolves. Favreau had a carerr high 4 blocks in that game too. Other than that, everything was pretty normal.

Actually it's already like 20 wins in a row hehe. I played again against the Hornets but my PS2 hanged before i can save the game. Oh well. I'm thinking that if Live 2006 is not going to be any different that 2005 then i will conitnue to play 2005. I used to buy the new game because of the rookies, but this year doesn't seem like there's an interesting rookie to look for.

If the Dynasty is better then i would defintely buy the game, but if only the player movements has been upgraded then i don't think it's worth it. But 2005 Dynasty is not that good anyway, in terms of stats recorded. Can somebody tell me, what year it was when live kept the players stats for all the seasons you played?

Thanks! I'm waiting for my off-season too. But i don't think i will be drafting nor trading for other players. I only need to resign, Long, Wolf, and Abraham. =)

The Heat battled the New Orleans Hornets last night in Miami and won the game 97-68. Wolf was on fire all throughout the game as he scored 21 pts in the first half and ended the game with 36pts, 4rebs, 6stls, and 2asts. Favreau chipped in 16pts, 10rebs, and 4stls (career high). Shaq had his usual 20pts, 9rebs, and 5blks, while Wade contributed 12pts, 9stls, and 6asts. The Hornets was led by Baron Davis and their rookie PG Justice, but they didn't have enough fire power to stay with the Heat after ending the 1st quarter tied at 21.

Favreau was again voted rookie of the month for February as he ended with an average of 17.4pts, 9.5rebs, 1.5asts, 1blk, and .56stls. Shaq was the East Player of the month with averages of 22.3pts, 9.8rebs, 5.61blks, 1.4asts, and 1stl. Tim Duncan was the West Player of the Month.

I just want to say that i liked NBA Live 2005 so much that i didn't anticipate Live 2006 to be coming out at the end of the month. I think EA ready did a good job on Live 2005, but again, let this be a true dynasty game by saving all the player's stats for the duration of their career. I've said before that after all the wish list that we came up with, i'd like to believe that EA is not selling us short by not doing all they can to put everything we want in the game. Maybe it is really difficult to program and save up all those stats. But what the heck, please do something about it EA!!!

I don't care much about the yoyo lay-up, i want more stats!!!

I play all 82 games on all-star with slightly tweaked difficulty settings. i only play 7 minute quarters coz this gives me the most realistic score.

I won 4 games since the last time i posted a message and i'm happy to say that Wade has played well enough to be an MVP candidate. He is currently averaging 17.3pts, 6.28stls, 4.2asts, 1.86rebs, and .03blks. Shaq is second on the list with averages of 25.3pts, 10.1rebs, 5.56blks, 1.86asts, and 1.86stls.

Garnett is still number one on the list but the last time i played the Wolves i made sure that he didn't get his usual stats. Since i now have 2 candidates for MVP, i hope that i'll win it this time. As all of you know, even with an overpowering performance by Shaq, he has never won the MVP award. I hope that EA fixes this bug on 2006, and also the ROY award. And i hope that guards will not be allowed to throw hook shots at all!!!

The Heat suffered it's second lost of the season against the Grizzlies last night. The Grizzlies was led by Shane batteyey because i had Gasol on foul trouble for most of the game. The thing that killed me was the 3 pointers of battier, Posey, and Jwill. I was trying to stick to them but they made enough contested 3's in the 4th quarter to get a big lead, i think they made 6 consecutive 3 pointers at one point. The Heat was led by Favreau with 22pts and 9rebs, with Shaq chipping in 2opts, 10rebs, and 5blks. Lorenzen Wright played very well in behalf of Gasol as he scored 12pts, blocked 9 shots and grabed 9rebs. Unbelievable! The Heat is now 62-2.

As I come close to the end of my 2005 Heat Dynasty I would like to look back and do some parting shots. Well through the 4 and a hlaf seasons i played, i won 4 championships, 3 coach of the year awards, numerous All-NBA and All-Def awards, numerous All-RC team awards, some All-Star MVPs and some other awards that i missed. Shaq has been robbed of the award 3 years in a row! Wade winning the slamdunk contest 2 years in a row. After i'm done with this season, Shaq would have won the championship 8 times, with Wade winning 5, and Kobe is still stuck at 3 haha!

The thing that is most difficult to let go are the Players that i have drafted throughout the years. I've seen what they have become as players and they have been part of why the Heat is now one of the greatest teams of all time. Wolf just recently scored 28 and 32pts on consecutive games and he definitely has a bright future in the NBA, he is one of the few players who has won 3 championships in their first 3 years in the NBA, and he is looking to be one of the very few players who has won 4 championships in their 1st 4 years in the NBA. Parker and Long could be starters on different teams but they stick it out with the Heat to win more championships. Abraham is now just showcasing his skills while Constantine is still trying to get better. Favreau is one of the new guys on the team and has definitely had a positive impact on the overall status of the team.

By now, Shaq would have already scored more than 30,000 pts in his career and around 15,000 rebs. If only Live keeps all the stats! He has proven that he can still play at the age of 35 and is still the most dominant force in the NBA.

I'm still thinking if i should continue playing this game even after 2006 has come out. I have mentioned before that this is the only Live that i've played wherein I wasn't anxious about when the next one is coming out. If i didn't accidentally delete my awards maybe i would have played on.

5000 plus hits, wow. I miss this team a lot. I still have it on my memory card and i hope to play this team again this weekend. I haven't played 2006 that often, well, not as often as i did 2005. Thanks to everybody who have visited the thread. Happy New Year!!! :D

I found time to play 2 games last weekend and i realize how old the game is compared with 2006. I stopped on my 5th season with a standing of 64-2 and now i'm 65-3. I lost against the Bulls because Curry and Chandler has become monsters underneath the board and Wolf is still not a superstar. Kirk Heinrich was shooting the lights out and if it wasn't him, Gordon is the one shooting. Shaq led the way with 28pts, 17rebs, and 5blks but he didn't get much help from anyone else. Assists are also hard to come by in 2005, unlike in 2006 where I have Wade averaging 13 per game. i only had 13 assits in this game!

I won against the Hornets but only after getting back from an 8-pt deficit early on. Wade was the hero here and the bench was a big help. Long had 10pts, 6rebs, and 2 blks off the bench.
