Pierce Shines Again in 112-106 Win

    November 10, 2006
    Boston Celtics – 112
    Utah Jazz - 106

Up by 6 points headed into the final quarter, the Celtics managed to at least hold off the Jazz and keep the last quarter in a tie. Paul Pierce continued his amazing start to the season by attempting an absurd 38 shots, which he made 13; Pierce also made 3-9 points from downtown, totally 29 points. Celtics rookie sensation Rudy Gay managed only 2 points on 0-14 shooting, but led the Celtics with 9 rebounds. Celtics backup Dwyane Jones had a season high 15 points in just 16 minutes of play.

At the beginning of the last quarter, Utah began to make a run, with several points in a row, however Brandon Roy went up for a layup, which was sent back flying by Wally Szczerbiak. Carlos Boozer was important for the Jazz though, as he worked the paint and provided much needed points. At the 2:00 minute mark, the score was 102-102, and the score remained tied until the 28.9 mark, where Gerald Green was sent to the line for free throws.

Utah’s Mehmet Okur fouled out several minutes into the last quarter, but he still managed 26 points before that. Carlos Boozer and Andrei Kirilenko both had double-doubles in rebounding and points. Pierce was named the POTG.

Word.
Show some love from Ryan Gomes.
Good game.
Not too high of a score this time. Haha.

But ...

I can't wait for us to continue to win ay Sor. Hahaha.

Seems Jazz had a pretty good game, strange that they lost...
Anyways is that Wally blocking Roy in the 2nd pic? Looks kinda stupid...

Yeah, I have no idea what happened there, he was jacking them up and missing I suppose.

Its all that last second stuff you know?
And yeah that is Wally blocking Roy, though how does it look stupid? I thought it was a beautiful block. Roy put it up with the baby hook and Wally rose up to deny him

Rudy Gay Has First Superb Game As He Named POTG

    November 11, 2006
    Boston Celtics – 113
    Cleveland Cavaliers - 93
Click on team names for Boxscores!

With the score tied coming into the last quarter, the Celtics looked to continue their winnings streak. In just 3 minutes the Celtics extended their lead to 14, but the Cavs led by Lebron James stormed back within several points. Their run was stopped short by Theo Ratliff’s huge block on Eric Snow, which resulted in a Rudy Gay reverse jam.

The game was extremely physical. When Kedrick Perkins was knocked down by Zydrunas Ilgauskas, the Celtics responded by slamming Snow to the ground with Perkins and Jefferson. The Play of the Game defiantly came on Dwyane Jones’ block of Lebron’s 360 fast break slam (see below). Ilgauskas responded by blocking Wally’s layup, but the damage was already done.

Gay scored 26 points and grabbed 8 rebounds for his POTG honors. Paul Pierce and Sebastian Telfair also managed 20+ points while Ratliff and Jefferson both grabbed 10 rebounds. Ilgauskas was the points leader for Cleveland with 20, he also grabbed 17 boards; Donyell Marshall had 14 points and rebounds.

'nother week, 'nother win for the Bulls :D

Sat Oct 21, 2006 4:55 am

The trade works well for you especially that Jing Xu will get more minutes now

And I don't think Gooden is happy being touched at his head by Gay

Sat Oct 21, 2006 5:10 am

Nice defensive numbers, Al Jefferson with 4 blocks that's cool.

I think the trade won't change anything, you didn't gave Gomes more minutes, I think the same will happen with Ellis...

Sat Oct 21, 2006 6:01 am

Great job on stoping LBJ. On an another note, Jailblazers' frontcourt rules  .

Sat Oct 21, 2006 7:17 am

Nice win over the Cavs, you limited Bron's shots well (Y) Nice trade, you lose a bit of depth in your big man rotation but I suppose Gomes was more of a SF anyway. Its good to get Ellis and free up space for Xu in the Warriors rotation

Sat Oct 21, 2006 7:59 am

I love your graphics, great presentation. I don't know how long Gay and Green can co-exist on the same team though, their both going to blow up (VC and TMac). Good job though.. nice win.

Sat Oct 21, 2006 1:51 pm

Wow, Rudy Gay played awesome for you man!

Celtics Extend Winning Streak By Rolling Orlando

    November 13, 2006
    Boston Celtics – 117
    Orlando Magic - 102
Click on team names for Boxscores!

Proving to be a 4th quarter team, Boston led 77-76 at the beginning of the last quarter and ended up winning by 15. It all went well for the Celtics, with Wally World hitting an off balance shot. The game really got out of hand for the Magic when Delonte West made a layup between the arms of Jameer Nelson while Al Jefferson blocked a dunk attempt by Dwight Howard.

Darko Milicic wasn’t much help down low, and players on the Celtics were just all over him, causing him to pick up his 5th foul and forcing him out of the game. Gerald Green was on in the last several minutes, dunking on Bargnani and Milicic.

Jefferson was named the POTG with 14 points, 6 boards, 3 steals, and 3 blocks. The interesting fact was that every single person on both teams scored. Darko Milicic grabbed 14 boards while Howard had 15.
