Pistons Beat Bulls, Never Trail
Pistons 115 | Bulls 108
Detroit finished a strong performance on the road with a 7 point win over the Chicago Bulls at the United Center. The Pistons went up 12 after the 1st and never looked back, never trailing throughout the entire game. Andres Nocioni continued his strong play for the Bulls off the bench, contributing 15 points, 3 rebounds and 6 assists. However, he wasn't happy with his perfomance. "I didn't shoot the ball well. We were outrebounded by Detroit and I didn't do my job. I played 28 minutes and grabbed 3 rebounds, I think I need to pick up the slack more, especially when they are keeping Ben and Tyrus off the glass like they did tonight." Nocioni said. Point guard Chris Duhon helped keep the deficit under double digits as the time wound down, nailing big threes late of Chauncey Billups, but Billups answer right back with 2 threes of his own to extend the lead once more. The Bulls fell to 13-15 with the loss.

Gordon Nails Game Winner Against Hornets
Bulls 108 | Hornets 107
Ben Gordon sunk the Hornets hope of pulling out the win at home as he nailed a huge 3 pointer as time expired. Gordon was 0-2 from downtown before making the game winning shot over Desmond Mason. "I didn't see the pick coming and by the time I did it was too late. I tried to get out in front of Tyrus to get a hand on Ben, but that screen was solid. He sealed me off good and the rest is history" Mason said of Gordon's late game heroics. Gordon finished with 15 points in the win, leading 7 Bulls' players in double digits. Only PJ Brown, Ben Wallace and Mike Sweetney, who left with an injury, failed to reach double digits. Kelenna Azubuike and Marcus Haislip did not enter the game. Gordon is known for his clutch play late in close games and he showed it once again today as the Bulls are now just 1 game under .500.

Bulls Pull Out Thrilling Win In Double OT
Jazz 122 | Bulls 126
The most valuable player for the Bulls as they overcame the Utah Jazz in double OT had just a single point. It wasn't Luol Deng, who had 28, 6 and 4. Nor was it Kirk Hinrich or Ben Gordon, who added 22 and 24 respectively. It wasn't Andres Nocioni, who off the bench had 22 points and 7 boards. It was center Ben Wallace, who went 0-3 from the field, scoring his only point from a free throw. Heres the catch - Wallace's free throw sealed the game, giving the Bulls a 4 point lead with a little over 3 seconds remaining. The dagger wasn't the only way Big Ben contributed, he also pulled down 20 rebounds, 8 offensive. "Ben was simply amazing tonight. He didn't score well at all, bu thats not what we bought him to Chicago for. He is here to rebound and play defence, and thats exactly what he did" Scott Skiles said of his starting center. Utah couldn't keep Wallace off the boards and it cost them the win. Chicago looks to get the team above .500 tommorow night as they face the Celtics at home.

Telfair Explodes In Chicago, Takes Over In OT
Celtics 136 | Bulls 131
Sebastian Telfair finally lived up to his potential as he burned the Bulls with his blzing quickness and great passing skill. Telfair finished with a spectacular 37 points and 7 assists, commiting just a single turnover along the way. The controversial point guard single handedly brang the Celtics back into the game after a 12-0 run by the Bulls in the fourth and sent the game to overtime with an incredible scoop shot over Luol Deng. Boston got some help in overtime from hot shooting Wally Szczerbiak and sealed the game early. Ben Wallace had a monster game for the now 15-16 Bulls, finishing with 16 points, 13 rebounds and 7 blocked shots. Ben Gordon finished with 35 for Chicago and Kirk Hinrich, along with rookie Tyrus Thomas finished with double doubles, while Luol Den narrowly missed one of his own with 24 points and 9 rebounds. Andres Nocioni finished with doube figures once again, scoring 14 points in 30 minutes of action.

A lot of tight, high-scoring games. Nice to see you win two games. Keep it up and good luck!
Mon May 07, 2007 3:40 pm
with my "done for 07 status", i finally had the chance to browse a couple of more sections when visiting the nlsc and gladly stumbled on your thread shannon... very nice read and clean presentation...

it kinda sucks though that kobe was injured/didn't play both times you crossed paths with the lakers... it somewhat denied me the opportunity to see how he looks when converted from 07 to 05...

still, keep it up man and good luck with the bulls...
Mon May 07, 2007 3:52 pm
great dynasty! its very realistic and i love the presentation. Good luck with your next games!
Mon May 07, 2007 4:08 pm
Thanks Sacke12, Glen and kobe4mvp. I hope I can keep it up.
Glen, yeah too bad I didn't get to see Kobe, but it was probably a good thing for me considering his ability

That CF looked amazing, I'll see if I can get a screen up for you sometime if I still have the CF (got a new computer recently, fresh install).
Mon May 14, 2007 12:51 am
Nice stuff dude, looking forward to more updates
Mon May 14, 2007 4:33 am
Wow man, you should lower playing time a bit, scores in the 100's all the time isn't realistic. good luck in wk 12
Mon May 14, 2007 11:21 am
This is still a consistently good dynasty. 15-16 though... You need to turn this around!
Mon May 14, 2007 7:53 pm
Not a bad week. Love to see game winners! And Gordon is the perfect man to do it!
i really hope that you can get over .500

What graphic driver do you have, Shannon?
Tue May 15, 2007 4:52 pm
If you mean what graphics card, I have a Nvidia GeForce 7800 GS (256MB), came with the computer I bought second hand, I love it. Works great with every game I have played and runs at like 50-60FPS in Live 05(don't know if thats great, but its great to me).
As for the driver, I just use the default Nvidia drivers that were on the machine, I don't know too much about drivers. This is what it says in the dxdiag box:
Main Driver: nv4_disp.dll
Version: 6.14.0010.9147 (English)
Thanks for the comments everyone, sorry I havn't had an update in a while, I'll try get one up soon.
Tue May 15, 2007 5:40 pm
Nice graphics there

cool and hot. Can you teach me how to do the pics like this
[][][]
And also i am not really good at photoshop if you could help me on how to put a pic in a pic will be good. Hoping for a good record
Sat May 19, 2007 7:24 am
Shannon, are there any new replay cameras you added to Live 2005? Those screenies are awesome, especially those net close-ups.
Sat May 19, 2007 1:22 pm
Nope, I just flick through the replay cameras until I find one that looks good. Also remember the camera can't go past the sideline so you can jam it against the baseline and get good rim shots like this one:
Sorry bout not updating for so long but I just don't feel like playing for now, but I should be over the next few days. That and my LCD screen broke and it makes playing games an ugly experience.
Sat May 19, 2007 2:38 pm
Woah, like the pics, i really want to make pics like that

Gordon Stars In Double OT Thriller
Warriors 132 | Bulls 137
Ben Gordon dropped an amazing 40 points on the Golden State Warriors on Monday night in front of a sellout crowd at the United Center in Chicago. Gordon had a rough shooting night until the fourth quarter where his well known clutch ability shined. Gordon came off a Tyrus Thomas pick and launched a leaning 3 pointer over the outstretched arm of Al Harrington which rattled in just after the final buzzer sounded to send the game to overtime. In the first overtime period, Gordon and Tyrus Thomas made for a formidable duo, having their way with their defenders, despite multiple changes in defensive set up. However, the Bulls began to fell apart with just under a minute to go, despite leading by 5. The Warrors made big shots down the stretched and a Stephen Jackson 3 tied the game up with just 12 seconds to go. Rookie guard Thabo Sefolosha held the ball as the clock wound down before making a move, but was stripped by Baron Davis. Luol Deng made a quick move to get the ball back but couldn't nail the potential gamewinner. None of that mattered in the second and final overtime period as Gordon and Thomas continued their dominance and the Bulls cruised to a 5 point win. Thomas finished with 22 points and 13 rebounds. Coach Scott Skiles said after the game, "A win is a win, but we are not a team that's gonna win alot of high scoring games. We want to be putting up 95-105 points a night. We have to slow down".

Steady Gameplan Gets Bulls Win Over Philadelphia
76ers 89 | Bulls 94
The Bulls controlled the tempo from the tip and executed well en route to their second consecutive win. Ben Gordon once again led the way for the Bulls with 21 points, followed by Luol Deng's 12 and Andres Nocioni's 13 off the bench. Coach Scott Skiles said after the game that this battle was won with defence and steady offensive execution, and praised Ben Wallace for his work on the defensive end. Wallace finished with 13 rebounds, 5 blocked shots and 3 steals in a great all round performance, commiting just 1 turnover in 36 minutes of action. Backup guard Thabo Sefolosha done a great job replacing Kirk Hinrich who struggled mightely against Andre Miller, finishing with just 12 points and 1 assist. Miller had 24 points at halftime while being guarded by Hinrich. The height and speed of Sefolosha seemed to throw Miller off in the second half, scoring just 3 points in the final quarter. Off season aqcuisition Marcus Haislip returned to action after consecutive DNP's and grabbed 4 rebounds in limited action to go along with a block.

Deng Manhandles Knicks, Bulls Win Third Straight
Knicks 99 | Bulls 112
Luol Deng scored 28 points in just 27 minutes as the Bulls cruised to an easy victory over the struggling New York Knicks. Deng connected on 12 of his 19 shot attempts, nailing all 3 of his 3 point shots and his only free throw of the night. Kirk Hinrich, Thabo Sefolosha and Ben Gordon backed up Dengs great performance with 17, 17 and 16 respectively, while Andres Nocioni had yet another fine game off the bench finishing with 11 points and 6 rebounds. Quentin Richardson seemed to be the only player for New York capable of making a jumpshot, finishing with 26 points to lead the way for the Knicks. Point guard Stephin Marbury was shut down all night by Kirk Hinrich, his only field goals coming from easy layups. Hinrich held Marbury to a terrible 2-17 shooting night.

Niiice, your on a little streak here!

Gordon and Deng was great, and you seems to find your way to play this team. Good luck next week!
Tue May 22, 2007 2:33 am
Very interesting dynasty. I love the way you spend time between the "story" and the game itself. If I only had time, I could do my very own Dallas Mavericks Dynasty. Excellent work indeed. Good luck!

Draft Questions: Which Big Man?

The Bulls need a big man to go alongside Ben Wallace next season. PJ Brown is just an expiring contract. Mike Sweetney is inconsistant. Tyrus Thomas is not ready. The Bulls need a big.
The good news? Chicago owns the struggling New York Knicks first round pick, which just happens to be in the best big man draft in a long time. Top prospects include OSU's Greg Oden, Florida's Joakim Noah and Al Horford, UNC's Brandan Wright and Georgetown's Roy Hibbert. New York is struggling, but not enough to expect the top pick in June's draft, where man child Greg Oden is almost a lock to go despite a great start to the NCAA season from Texas freshman Kevin Durant. Chicago figures to pick in the 5-15 range, right where the remaining four of those players should go come draft day. Hibbert, Wright, Horford and Noah figure to be Chicago's main targets with their need for a low post player to compliment their great guard play.
"We are definately looking at those four guys very closely. We need a guy who can play down low. A 'back to the basket' guy. There are other very good big guys in the draft, like Kevin Durant, Yi Jianlian and Julian Wright, but they are alot more perimeter orientated then the guys we are seriously considering. We need post play above all" Bulls' GM John Paxson said when asked of his opinion on the "fantastic four". So, we know barring a top 2 pick (where Chicago would have to go with Oden or Durant, no matter what they need) for Chicago, one of these four college stars will be suiting up for the Bulls. But what do these guys bring to the table?
Let's get into it.
Brandan Wright | 6-10 | PF | North Carolina | Freshman
Wright is the consesus number 3 pick behind Oden and Durant. When he's aggresive, he is as good as anyone on the college level. Not a standout performer in anyone catagory right now, but on the next level Wright should have an impact similar to that of Toronto Raptor Chris Bosh. Brandan has great low post scoring ability, but can also score from midrange. Incredibly athletic and long, should be an elite rebounder and shotblocker in the NBA. As with Noah, he will need to fill out his frame to make an impact.
Al Horford | 6-9 | PF | Florida | Junior
Horford will be able to contribute right away in the Bulls system and may turn some heads with his ability. Great one on one post defender and rebounds very well for his size. His athleticism and length make up for his lack of height, which some may see as a problem next to the 6-9 Ben Wallace, but both of those guys can hold their own against bigger post players defensively. Should probably go top 7, but is a very safe pick. If Chicago gets him, he should make Bulls fans feel better about losing Elton Brand.
Joakim Noah | 6-11 | PF | Florida | Junior
Noah is very similar to ex-Bull Tyson Chandler. Extremely active on the boards and blocking shots, an energy guy. His quickness and versatility are very suprising for a player of his size, along with his ball handling skill. Noah could turn out to be what Chicago envisioned in Chandler when they traded for him on draft night, giving up eventual all star Elton Brand. Joakim can also score, putting up 13 points this season on 60% shooting. Amazing passer for his size. His body will be the decidig factor in his impact.
Roy Hibbert | 7-2 | C | Georgetown | Junior
Hibbert is what you call a "project" center. Doesn't posses amazing skill, but his frame is what attracts NBA teams. Right now he's solid, has a soft touch around the basket and knows the game quite well. He's strong and is a great passer out of the post. Athletically he leaves alot to be desired and this is one thing that could potentially prohibit him from blossoming on the next level. He will either be a bust or a very solid NBA center. Hibbert is a high risk/high reward pick in the lottery.
Tue May 22, 2007 10:37 am
I think Hibbert will develop into a really good Center in a few years, Wright should be quite explosive too. Nice Wins in the last recap!
Tue May 22, 2007 11:38 pm
Out of all those guys, the one that would probably help me the most right now is Horford. That being said Hibberts height could help alot, Joakim Noah adds more defence and his speed for his size could help alot offensively. Wright does pretty much everything, but his strangth would be a question mark in year one. Horford will go top 10, maybe top 7, but I should be able to nab him if the Knicks continue to struggle. I think he could be a big help to my team, but I won't know for sure until I try them out myself.
I would love to get any one of these guys, but personally I think Horford is most suited to my current team.
Thanks for the interest everybody.
Wed May 23, 2007 1:17 am
Horford remembers me Luol Deng, I would pick Noah if you're looking for a Big Man.
Maybe you should pick Hibbert if you want a really tall C.
Wed May 23, 2007 2:39 am
I would pick Noah, I love gis passion and aggressivness on the boards. Plus, he's half, or 25 % Swedish. His mother is from Sweden.
Thu May 24, 2007 2:33 am
havent posted in a very long time but iv been following ur dynasty closely and would like to imput on your draft prospects.
i think hibbert is a good center but not a good fit for your team, as i see the bulls as young and athletic and hibberts lack of mobility would probably slow down your team, although running the offense through him would work real well as you noted his great size and passing skills
i wouldnt take noah because he reminds me a little bit of tyrus thomas and i think thomas is more athletic and provides that little extra with his dunking ability and shot blockin as well, i just think noah is raw, undersized ans just not great at anything just good
wright could be a nice fit down the line with his size and athletic ability, he can rebound and block but again as you noted in year one size can be a concern
so in conclusion if you want a gator go for al as he can contribute right away i think he does alot of things well and if he can develop an offensive game like an elton brand that would really help the fans forget
