2nd TRIMESTER UPDATE
Hornets trade Peja along with Mason for Francis and Richardson
Trade

Just before the trade deadline Hornets and Knicks managed to do the deal. Hornets acquired Steve Francis, Quentin Richardson and Mardy Collins for Peja Stojakovic, Desmond Mason and Jannero Pargo. Both sides were happy with the trade and hope that it will benefit the teams in the future. Hornets' GM said, that he is happy with the trade, because we traded away huge contracts in Predrag Stojakovic and Desmon Mason for expiring contract Steve Francis. We cleared up some money for resigning Chris Paul, and now we can be pretty confident about resigning him in the summer. Also we will be able to resign Francis in the offseason, of course for the less money. We also got Quentin Richardson, who is pretty much the same as Peja. Pargo and Collins were just part of the trade. Knicks' GM said, that he is happy they added such a player like Peja to their roster. We had to trade away Francis, because he was not happy here and probably would have been left us in the offseason.
