Good win, Bosh wasn't enough for Hawks... Again nice recap... I invite U to my dynasty ;)

Thu Dec 28, 2006 12:10 am

Wow Bosh was amazing, and TJ Ford haved very god game. I liked Speedy that game :D He reminded me S. Nash from my dynasty just little less points :D Nice game.

Thu Dec 28, 2006 12:23 am

Oh feel sorry for the Raptors, it was their 8th consecutive loss at the road. But you won and this is the main thing. Claxton missed a lot of shots, but I think his assists is more important than his shots. Despite the Raptors' loss Bosh was great and his block in highlights looks very well

Thu Dec 28, 2006 3:00 pm

Couldnt contain bosh in the paint huh? But in this game FTs was the key :P nice win, keep up the great dynasty.

thx for all ya comments !! Really appreciated! And well ... I just cant defend Bosh with his post moves ... his dunkings and his shot, impossible. At least Speedy did well, that is right ;)

Fri Dec 29, 2006 8:32 am

Wow nice coverage, really good read. Man you did a nice job on this one, Arenas looks amazing, with such numbers he must be #1 MVP candidate at the moment for sure... Hope JJ's gonna do somethin' spectacular like this guy does... Good luck against Arenas and co.

Fri Dec 29, 2006 9:19 am

Aw man, thats sad that S. Nash not #1 in assists but anyway looks like Arenas is really good this season.

Fri Dec 29, 2006 9:55 am

I love this kind of stuff :D

I like Arenas too, but I think his team needs to think about more wins, but since team performance has no influence at all in live choosing MVP, I think his stats may even rise and he is the real candidate to that title.

Fri Dec 29, 2006 9:19 pm

Pursuer, Thank you man, well I thought I needed to do something different than only my prevs and recaps. I hope I can contain him, but the Magic will be our next task and then lets concentrate on the Wizards. (actually I already played both games :P )

BeByeMiS, thank you, well Nash is second, so dont worry ;) . I will come up with the stats at the end of the month.

Marquis, thank you, glad you like it. Ye, the Wizs aint that good so far but I just thought Gil was playing an amazing season and as you said in live they do not care about success ... so I am kinda afraid of Chris Bosh earning it ;) . But things can change in about 5 month yet this season.

The Orlando Magic will host the Atlanta Hawks tonight. The Magic are 2-5 so far at home and will look to turn things around after they lost their game yesterday @Miami by only 1 point. Dwyane Wade was the man for the Heat once again. While the Heat are now 8-4 after a four game winning streak, the Magic rank last. The Hawks are second and the Bobcats and Wizards share the 3rd place. So much about the situation in the very balanced Southeast Division. The Magic still struggle at the boards and are the weakest rebound team in the league. "It is unbelievable when you think about the fact that we have the second best rebounder of the whole league, where would we stand without him?", Coach Bob Hill asks, but does not really want to know. Surely he was talking about Dwight Howard who has shown some great performances lately. Although they average only about 90 points per game the Magic do not have many problems offensively. The whole starting five contributes and they have a good mixture of shooters and inside threats. The defense is not that good at the moment but they will try to improve in this area. The Hawks do not have those problems at all. They are the best offensive team in their division and do not care too much about defense. After two wins in a row they will try to build their streak. While they have no problems sports-wise, the have some personal. Rumours spread around that Salim Stoudamire is complaining about not enough minutes. They Player did not want to give a statement but sources say that this one is true for sure. Let´s hope that the Hawks won´t be stopped by those rumours and can beat the Magic on the road. Tip-Off will be on 7:00 p.m. @TD Waterhouse.

Image The Bobcats have announced the signing of Doug Christie. The former Raptor, King and Magic signed a 1 year contract yesterday. Terms were not disclosed. Let´s hope he will help them with his routine.

Sun Dec 31, 2006 11:38 pm

Well they play better at road than at home, this means your chances are up, since their record sucks, and rebounding isn't going well, I think you have 70% chances to win... Good luck man!

Mon Jan 01, 2007 12:37 am

You have a lot of chances to win, so its the opportunity to grab this win. Just make sure to contain Dwight.

Happy New Year!

Orlando, Nov. 25th(AP) -- Grant Hill scored 33 points and grabbed 9 boards as the Magic defeated the Hawks.

After two wins in a row the Hawks came up short tonight against the Orlando Magic in what was a very exciting contest.
The Hawks began strongly in the first and were able to build a 14 point lead. Joe Johnson had 13 points in the first half and did not miss a shot in the first quarter. Speedy Claxton added 9 points. The Magic were able to come back in the 2nd quarter but could not close the gap. Jameer Nelson played very well and had 5 points and 6 assists. Dwight Howard added 13 points. "You lead by 13 at the half and you think about not letting them getting back into the game, and then they hit shot after shot .. that is unbelievable". Grant Hill came out on fire and scored 15 points in the third quarter. He had great support by Keith Bogans who seemed to be unstoppable at times. "That is why we signed him, he can hit the midrange shot or just drive to the rim, great game by (Bogans)", Bob Hill said. They outscored the Hawks by 17 and grabbed a three 4-point lead. Which they did not want to give away in the 4th although the Hawks came back. Marvin Williams scored 13 of his season-high 26 points in the 4th quarter. He also grabbed 10 rebounds. Dwight Howard had to take a seat with 5 fouls but Grant Hill did what he had to do and hit a clutch And1 with 2:00 left. The Hawks were never able to contain him and lost by 7 points at the end. Joe Johnson had 19 points and 9 assists. Dwight Howard scored 19 and grabbed 9 in only 31 minutes. Bogans added 29 and Nelson 15. Hawks will head to Washington in two days and will face the red-hot Gilbert Arenas in a must winner to stay on the 2nd seed in the Southeast division. This loss was clearly not necessary, ls hope they will step up against the WIzards.

Damn ... but thank you for your comments guys, I think Pursuer knew it would be hard when he said onkly 70% ... Happy New Year to you all, too !! (although in Germany we have 7 hours left till Jan.1st

Mon Jan 01, 2007 2:31 am

Lots of lots of lots of problems... First of all, give Childress some shooting training his missing FT's every game... That's all about offense, offense looks solid, though you could take less shots with Speedy and Joe, give more attempts to your big guys under the basket.. Speedy's doing a nice defensive job, but his offense doesn't look that good.. I think you should trade for a better defensive player probably a center or a point guard. Someone like Andrew Bogut, he could be a big boost to your offense and especially defense. So that's that.. good luck in next games man..BTW Happy new year..

Mon Jan 01, 2007 2:36 am

Pursuer, thx four your comment ;) . Well I think Childress is good at rebounding and can drive through the lane, but your right his shot is weak. I do totally lack of good shooters and good inside scorers. I could get Al Harrington in a deal, but I think I would give up too much for him. Also I do not think he wants to get back. Speedy can not really shoot, but sometimes he suprises me with deep threes.
I would love to have a Inside scorer like Randolph or Harrington, but I think I just cant afford. So Ima train Marv until he is one ;)

The Hawks visit the Washington Wiazrds in their two game Southeast road-trip. After their though loss which snapped their two game winning streak the Hawks look to grab a win and regain the .500%. The Hawks are still lucky when it comes to injuries and will not need to do without any player. They hope that Marvin Williams can repeat his performance against Orlando, where he scored 26 points on a 11-16 shooting. His development is going on quite well. Joe Johnson vs Gilbert Arenas will be the duel of the leaders. Arenas has another career-year while Johnson is a MVP-candidate for the first time this season. The Wizards are on a two game loosing streak after their loss against Memphis and the revanche by the Pistons. Caron Butler has really improved his game this year and has risen to the second scorer, while Antawn Jamison is cold this season with only 14 points per contest. His rebounding is great though. "We want to beat the Hawks by any means necessary. They are a division competetor and we all have the goal to catch the Heat and let them not blowing away", Jamison says. The Hawks are rumoured to look for different trades in the last days but Mike Woodson and GM Hov did not want to comment any question about their quest for an inside low post thread. Tip-Off will be on 10:30 p.m. @Verizon Center.

Who wins this one stays 4th in southeast. Looking at players' stats makes me wanna say Arenas will score 40+ points as he usually does when playing with not so strong teams(though he does it with strong too), but someone's telling me you have to win...

Hawks fall again short as the Wiz´s Agent scores 41!
Atlanta Hawks 104, Washington Wizards 105

Washington, Nov. 28th(AP) --A technical foul with 15 seconds left kills the Hawks this time.

This time the Hawks deserved the win more than the last games ... but a big mistake by a young fella closed out the win for the Wizards who see themselves in a more comfortable situation after this big win. It was Marvin Williams who grabbed the board after a Gilbert Arenas miss with 0:15 seconds left. Game tied at 102. He was immediately attacked by two Wizards defenders and took the timeout. But the Hawks had no timeouts left. So Gilbert Arenas went to the line for one and hit it. The Wizards got possesion and used their chance for making it 105-102. The Hawks´ counter was successfull but it was too late. "This was my fault and I really want to say sorry to all my teammates, this was my loss", Williams said. "My job is to set him up after this one. He is young and he needs to make mistakes to learn from it. Surely, it was a tough loss.", Mike Woodson told media.
The Hawks were the better team all game long except the second quarter. They built a 8 point lead after the first quarter. Joe Johnson helped with 18 points in the first half and Marv Williams scored 9 of his career-high 30 points before the half. Gilbert Arenas and Antawn Jamison almost singlehanded let the Wizards back into the game and they led by 8 points at the half. In the 3rd quarter both teams played equally well. Arenas scored 15 points in the 3rd and Joe Johnson countered with 11. But the Hawks were not able to come closer. In the 4th then, Marvin Williams started his show. He scored 16 points and grabbed 4 rebounds and did it all. Slashing, posting up and shooting. Arenas kept the Wizards in the game but the margin became smaller. A three pointer by Johnson tied the game at 102 and Arenas missed the next shot. Well, the rest is maybe history. Josh Smith added 9 points and Voshon Lenard 12 points in 13 minutes. For the Wizards Caron Butler had a season high 30 points. The Hawks will meet the Bobcats in their last game of November at home.

ImageGilbert Arenas took 15(!) three point shots and hit 5 of them.
ImageHawks shot better from the field, from 3pt range, had less turnovers and more rebounds.
ImageJoe Johnson and Marvin Williams combined for 60 points, 30 each.
ImageThe Hawks had a season high 30 assists.

 what did I tell you....Arenas 40+... Though I'm glad Marv's doing good, his improvement can be noticed, game by game... Well tough luck at the end of the game, hope you can make the next game's end be in your favor... Good luck, mate...

Tue Jan 02, 2007 7:02 am

Oh, tough loss :( Arenas is very hard to play against, better luck in your next couple of games!

Tue Jan 02, 2007 8:58 pm

Exceptional loss with that technical foul. You had all the opportunities to make the winning shot, but yeah, silly fault by Marvin...

Arenas was the leader of his team, but Butler was also impressive. Good game by Lenard, no 3s, but solid shooting percentage from the 2

Tue Jan 02, 2007 9:55 pm

Wow nice game by arenas but also good points from ya shooting gaurd and power forward position, the game was right in your hands, to bad...that happened to me once and it sucks that adter you get a tech the other team still gets possesion, gl nxt time.

Wed Jan 03, 2007 1:41 am

Pursuer, Marv was really nice. To be honest it was the first game this season I unlocked an X-factor player. He was a threepointshooter. Now you think he "Hm .. only 1-1 from 3pt", but the bank shot is just amazing for a postplayer. So I banked it in several times from midrange, so cool :) Thx for your comment !

Sacke12, thx for your comment, well Arenas scoring 41 was kinda expected (by Pursuer for example :) ), but Butler´s performance was more the killing part.

Marquis, thx, well I usually do not use more than 1 timeout in the 3rd, and honestly I did not know that you only have 3 left in the last quarter anyway.
Lenard is doing good. Hitting open jumpers almost everytime.

.Dee., Yeah, I really have to say I shoudl have won this one ... and the technical was just my fault. Thank you.

Bobcats Preview should come today, staay tuned :)
